And this is certainly a team that seems to play with more confidence when they’re not chasing the game, Cheryl. Yeah, it’s always better to be when you’re in front, James. I mean, you know that you have the lead. You have a little more confidence when the puck’s on your stick, but there’s a lot of runway left. They have to play with that confidence, but they have to manage the puck as well. And the traffic neutralizes that threat. The Lightning have taken possession along the wall. Gensel’s done a great job of staying the course in this game here, James. you know, he could let the multiple opportunities that he hasn’t cashed in on really get to him, but he doesn’t. He cuts down his angle and then he can redirect it to safety. They fight for it along the boards. Good solid check and he loses control of it and the puck departs the zone. I mean, you recognize the timing it takes to meet your opponent right at the right time. And I mean, that’s just an explosive hit. Gets the job done. Plenty of playing time left in this frame. Just love the way that not only does he anticipate this play, but then all of a sudden he goes from defense to offense to get the board. Austin’s got one back here in the third, but they still need another. They’re going to have to swarm the puck and find a way to retrieve it. And it’s shot selection as well. Good opportunities. But man oh man, when you find the pup like that and you have the instincts and urgency and the desperation to attack it, that is one heck of a save. A critical face off looming here. Let’s see if they can maintain that offensive momentum. Well, you know that the defensive side is vulnerable right now with a tired tender. And on the offensive side, you got to recognize that vulnerability and you have to attack. Quick pass across to Gore. There’s the physical side and he takes the pass. They lead it 2-1. Puck is dropped and he wins the draw here in the zone. Quick pass to Celli. That’s blocked into the corner of the attacking area. Oh, he made the save. How did he stop it? I have no idea, James. I mean, he was down and out, but profound athleticism and desperation got him back in to make it. Battle ensues for that loose puck from on the boards, angles it over to Lel. Swayman’s a competitor, and he is not afraid to compete for every single putt and outwill and out battle his opponent. And that highlight reel save. It is something James because just when you think it’s almost in, he finds a way to get to that puck. Such an athletic goender. And now he passes up to Shano. Quick shot and he shuts the ball on that. Basilleski’s helping his team with his rebound control and really keeping the puck away from the front of the net and cleaning up the trash. Let’s have a look at that last save again. It was absolutely incredible. You’re under pressure. You’re under attack. Really under siege, and you find a way to get to the puck. This is the stuff that champions are made of. This is a faceoff they’ll definitely want to win here inside the offensive zone. The Bruins win that offensive zone face off. And that shot gets blocked by one of his own teammates. Boston’s got control of the P. Absolutely strike here in the third. Yeah, really important that they didn’t get busted. They just trusted the process and they found themselves getting the equalizer. Now there’s a lot of game to be played to try and win it. The Bruins weren’t ready to go home and they weren’t planning on rolling over in this one tonight. Look at this, Cheryl. You know, my parents used to say, “Keep the pedal to the metal.” And this is exactly what they have to do with that urgency. They score the equalizer and now they’ve got the momentum to try and win it all. Drive by. Here’s a short pass to Cooer. Paul will be forced to start over from center as the puck leaves the zone. Well, this is a highly entertaining game here, James, as a puck goes one way and then the other. It’s a trap meet out there. Coaches certainly won’t like it because it means that neither team’s playing strong defense. just here in the late stages of this frame. The next goal could be a big one as we are tied.
