Coffee w/Kap ☕️: It’s a Bears Monday morning! Plus a Cubs thought! Have a great day!

Good morning and welcome to Coffee 
with Cap for a Monday morning, a Bears Monday Night Football Monday morning. So, couple thoughts. I want to give you the keys 
for me to the game tonight. For the Bears to win, they have to one, run the football effectively. 
They’ve got to run for north of 100 yards as a team. And that’s not a huge ask for a team to run 
for 100 yards when you’re paying the type of money up front to that offensive line that you are. 
So Theo Benedet starts at left tackle. Take the job. Take the job, young man. It’s right there 
for you to do that. And then you have to stop their running game. You have to because if you 
they run the football, they play action. Jaden Daniels makes plays. He’s a very good player. 
So is Caleb Williams. It’s a chance to quiet the narrative for Caleb on national TV and just 
really quiet his critics and continue to put up really good numbers. He’s had a very good start to 
his season under Ben Johnson. Let’s see if he can take it to another level tonight. So those for 
me the two keys to the game. Don’t forget after the game we will have the recap of the Bears 
game. So lock in and join us. after the game, I will have it for you and break the thing down. 
Uh, give you all the numbers and give you all my thoughts. Uh, to this morning, 6:00 a.m. Kappa 
Jay Hood will set the stage for that Bears game and review the Cubs game from over the weekend. 
Where they go from here, they’ve got a good team. You don’t get to the final game of the NLDS and 
not have a good baseball team and win 92 games. What do you do with Kyle Tucker? If somebody out 
there wants to give him an 8 to10 year deal for $400 million, see you later. You haven’t earned 
that. The other night in the sixth inning, men on, you’re up, nobody out. You don’t even move them 
along. You strike out. Uh those are opportunities to say right here, I’m the big guy. I can get it 
done. He didn’t. Uh I don’t know why. I don’t know why he went this way at the start and then just 
plummeted. I don’t know. I can’t answer that. Uh, they got to find a way to upgrade their 
offense and they got to add at least one more elite starter. Go out and sign an elite free 
agent or trade for a contract. That’s it. Uh, one other thought. Did anyone get up yesterday 
morning and watch the Jets and the Broncos game? I did with my grandson. We got went and got 
donuts he wanted and we sat and watched. What happened to Justin Fields? Like he was decent 
here. He looked inept holding the ball. Got sacked nine times. Many of them on him for 
holding the ball. They got like 90 yards of total offense. I don’t know what happened. Holy 
cow. Pathetic. All right, I gotta go. ESPN 1000 6 to9 cappa Jay Hood. Have a great night.

  6. If they can’t get Pressure on JD and Stop their run game,Then Can’t run the ball and protect CW it’s going to be a Long Night and Longer Season .

  10. I don’t think much has changed with Caleb but we will see. The Raiders have the worst secondary in football, and the Cowboys have one of the worst overall defenses. Remember, Bears were 3-2 last year before the BJ era. Have to see what Caleb does against better defenses. Its not to be a hater, its to make sure expectations aren’t set too high.

  11. Kap act like he wasn’t pouting like a little baby over the weekend. Leaving the post cubs conversation cuz he was mad and throwing a tantrum. He has the nerve to call other people/players/coaches soft. Jelly Bean head ass….

KAP you need to be less of a fan and more of an analyst; the Bears have not gotten off to a GOOD start they blew a big lead at home to MN they beat Dallas a worse defensive team at home then they are (GB put 40 on them)and they beat LV on the last play of the game and Detroit put 50 on them. So hardly a good start.

    CW average pass completion has only been SIX yards and they can’t run the ball at all. Suggesting that CW is even close to Daniel’s talent is laughable JD has better pocket presence has a stronger arm and more importantly is far more accurate.

  15. I watched some of Jets game..I agree Kap..Fields is holding the ball too long. He also has a long, slow release. He still doesn't know when to throw the ball away.

    Either By A Game Winning Field Goal by Whoever Kicker is Kicking Tonight or By a Tyrique Stevenson Game Winning Interception!

  17. Put some padding on that brickwall in Wrigley before someone really gets hurt! Enough with the vines bullshit. Bellinger messed his ribs up. Cassie smashed his head. These guys play hard and shouldn't have to deal with this stone age bullshit. Artificial vines. What are they waiting for, PCA to get hurt?

  19. Kap, what’s your thoughts on the brewers team photo after the game holding an L flag? Fans, not a problem, part of the game. The actual team? I say it’s classless. I hope CC blows up a copy that & hangs it in the clubhouse on opening day next season. I would, I absolutely would.

  23. Hate to speak in superlatives but this game for Caleb Williams is one of the very biggest of his young career

    To lose two games to the guy that was drafted behind you is not at all ideal and possibly could set him back

    If Bears D with Kyler Gordon (finally) can stop the Redskins and Caleb continue his solid start to 2025 then Bears can win this game

  26. Kap let's not act like the cowgirls game didn't inflate Caleb's stats. He looked good against a horrid defense and just ok in their other 3 games. Let's not fall into delusion here, he still doesn't look generational as of yet but there's time to grow.
