If he gets traded he could always get the color scheme changed but idk how often you could do that without fucking up your skin
Tbf, it is the first team that gave him a chance in the big leagues. I think no matter where his career goes the giants will always mean something to him.

Certainly a choice, but also it’s the team he made the big leagues with. Even if he’s traded/no longer on the team, still pretty cool. I wouldn’t get it personally, but still cool.

Crunching the numbers, it could be argued that Koss is more effective in the field than Schmitt. At least according to WAR.
Glad both of them created separation from Wisely last year. Koss and Schmitt both deserve to be in the major leagues, and I feel fine going into 2025 with Koss backing up Schmitt at 2B. Or vice-versa, depending on how the 2026 season unfolds.
I remain wildly optimistic about the upside of Schmitt and Koss. Jesus Rodriguez seems likely to be the best backup catcher the Giants have rostered in a while, at least offensively. I’m psyched for a whole year of Devers and Eldridge holding down 1B & DH, if everything goes according to plan. I’m im still irrationally optimistic that Gilbert and Matos could handle CF, Encarnacion & Ramos RF, and move Lee to LF where he could win a Gold Glove.
Sorry for the huge tangent. Just already psyched for next year’s team. I hope Posey doesn’t sign any position player free agents, and lets the internal roster breathe and grow, and the core all gel together. I *am* hoping the Giants spend a ton on pitching: re-acquire Tyler Rogers, retain Justin Verlander, and sign a top flight lefty starting pitcher like Ranger Suarez. And besides retaining Lucchesi and and hoping Carson Whisenhunt develops into a reliable multi-inning lefty bullpen arm, the Giants would do well to sign one more proven / elite bullpen arm.
