2. BUUUULLLLL SHIIIIIT.

   Chris Illitch is a cheapskate.

   If he wasn’t, the Tigers would have gotten good starter & at least one bat at the deadline.

   The Wings came right out and said it at the end of their season last year at a press conference.

   And then there’s the Disappearing District Detroit.

   Chris Ilitch cries poverty at every turn. He is a shining example of why we need to tax the fuck out of billionaires.

3. You have already seen SKubs replacement. Melton… Why would anybody pay a guy $40mill a year for only 6 innings in a series deciding game. I hope I am wrong.

4. I’m willing to buy it, just need proof on the on-field side of things now. I know we’ve invested a lot into facilities.

5. Some people really didn’t watch the press conference before complaining and it shows. I think Scott Harris has earned himself a lot of credit with the explanations and answers he gave today as well as putting the pressure squarely on him. He’s said that he’s got the resources so if this thing fails, it’s all on him now

6. If this is the case, they would 100% keep Skubal, right? Obviously, skubal increases chance of winning and if spending is not an issue… am I reading this right?

7. I really liked this interview I think this organization is in a healthy place. Really excited for the young talent to be apart of 2026. People love to say Illitch won’t spend yet he has the past few years. Let’s see how this FO goes about the off season and adding pieces to compliment this young core. He says all the right things now I’d just love some action.
