I know guys on their rookie contract can’t be signed to an extension until the offseason after their 3rd year, but John please for godsakes just lock this man up. The price will only get higher, this extension probably is priority one this offseason. Hopefully we can get Charles locked up before the seasons over or right after.I know in-season extensions aren’t really John’s thing, but it would be smart. If he gets 1st team all pro I would have no problem giving him 41m/year.

Don’t worry bro I think John is aware
Bro the Mariners game is on
John is fully aware about extending him and he will. There’s a process with rookie contracts for him, but it will get done.
Someone make this a wall paper
I’ve never been less worried about extending a player. It would be a colossal failure if they fumble it and they know that.
He’ll get his 5th year option. He’s only in year 3.
They can’t extend or renegotiate in the first three years, per the CBA, if I’m not mistaken.
Don’t have to extend him yet, he’s under contract for at least two more years if we want

Yess agreed, pay the man
I’ve never seen a fan base that wants their team to extend players earlier than they need to more than the Seahawks.
Better be a day 1 resign
Nolan Teasley (Asst GM): Hey John, what do you think we should do about JSN? Sign or no?
JS: JS who? Is he a tight end or something?
NT: He’s a WR, and on his way to becoming a superstar.
JS: I don’t know… Let’s check reddit, see what the internet thinks.
NT: Well, some random fan thinks it’s of utmost importance to sign him, even though this isn’t a question we’ll address until after the season is over.
JS: There are so many things to do during the season, but the opinions of random fans on the internet are of paramount importance! Call this JSN person’s agent asap!

atp it’s obvious he’s getting that second contract why not utilize the years we still have him on his rookie deal before extending
Eventually you’ll get your wish…The Seahawks don’t lose players that they want to keep.
