I was walking into this season expecting our team to look abysmally and abhorrently awful but (outside of one game against Seattle) they've been way more buttoned up and competitive than I would have imagined before the season started and to be honest, I've been enjoying watching them play despite the losses. The Saints are what you want a rebuilding team to look like, not a ton of talent, but they show up to fight every Sunday. I can't wait to see what they look like once we get some more young talent in the building over the next couple years.

Absolutely, lots of good. We look competitive. He has a lot to work on but it’s game 6 ya know. Give it time
I’m never really happy about the Saints being far under .500. But I take solace in that our QB play and coaching doesn’t appear to be “the problem” necessarily.
And I take joy in that those loud annoying fans, who acted like the rest of us were just fairweather fans who “don’t know ball” just for having a realistic outlook on the season, are wrong. Seasons like this brings out the misery in some folks and hopefully this causes those more annoying fans to finally jump ship.
yeah i think he’s the man. def seems like one of the few coaches than can elevate a qb
Give him 5 years and patience. Dudes building from the ground up
It’s clear he can develop QBs and run a functional offense, which most people expected
My gripe with him is his decision making with TOs and not going for it on 4th downs.
Yesterday we had the ball with around 2 minutes left before Halftime. 4th and 4 on the 30 something yard-line.
He decides to kick, give the patriots the ball with 2 mins and they score before halftime.
We coulda not only scored a TD on that drive but ran the clock out. Coulda completely changed the game.
This is one of many examples of him playing too conservative.
He holds on to Time outs like he’s getting paid to save them and the red zone plays need to be more creative.
With all that being said it’s a QB business and if he can continue to develop Rattler or w.e QB we bring in I think he’ll be a solid coach if his decision making improves
I keep thinking he’s Seth MacFarlane
If he can coach our team with all the drops, fumbles, blown coverage, etc. to look competitive as they have, then I can’t wait to see he does with young fresh talent from the draft and his picks from free agency.
My only hope for this season was for the Saints to be competitive into the 4th quarter more often than not. So far, so good.
Yes. Out the 6 games we played we were in 5 of them till the end. And this roster is dookie.
I’m cool with him. I questioned the mountain of penalties we started with, and really was afraid the Seattle game was the unraveling I feared. But he has them playing pretty well. He’s kept them fighting. Players do seem to like him. I just have to remind myself it’s his first HC gig. If one game is all we win this year, but they fight all the way, I’m good. I feel confident Moore & his program will grow.
He’s exceeded my expectations, quite honestly. The team’s roster is relatively poor, yet they are competitive in most every game. I expected a dismal season.
He’s the youngest coach in the NFL and he’s working with a roster that’s horrible and making it look competitive. He’s definitely made mistakes but I think he’s gonna be an elite HC once our roster has talent and he has more experience.
There’s improvements to be made but he’s also done some good work so far. I’m not a fan of that part of the run game where we run AK up the middle into a brick wall. If anything, Kendre may be more suited for that? But we could stand to be doing that play less on every first down. It feels a little predictable.
It sucks being 1-5 but it also feels like there’s some light at the end of the tunnel.
I’m putting trust in the process. Jim Mora had a losing record his first year. And led us to the playoffs in year two. And so on until he got burned out on bad officiating and bad FO decisions.
Besides the Seattle shelacking i feel like we’ve been competitive or if we had plugged up 1, 2 holes, we would have been leading for part of the game or had an even better chance to win.
Ie, if we keep progressing and improving gameplay wise Im happy. It feels like Carr is marginally better than Rattler but Rattler is like 147 million dollars less. So we aren’t actively tanking the franchise bank account to go 6-11.
I’m the happiest I’ve felt with this team over more than a 3 week span since 2021
Anyone who expected instant success is a fool. I see a lot of good things happening. Regardless of who we hired it is going to take a few drafts and some cap relief to be a playoff team. I think coach is doing a great job.
I like him. I feel like I understand football to an extent. But I have no logically clue as to why he didn’t go for 2 when we scored our first touchdown. 2 tied it, 1 left it 14-13.
I enjoy watching the saints right now.
For the love of football, show him how the use timeouts under 2 min. 😡🤬
Jury is out for me. I like him a lot but I can’t shake fhe feeling that he’s overseeing our basement dweller years before being replaced when the team is ready to compete (like Stephen Silas with the Houston Rockets).
I do like him though.
Hell no
Honestly same. I think he has what it takes to be a HC but just needs reps and to build confidence which we are a perfect team to do that since we have no expectations to win. He’s infinitely more wise than “just keep doing what we’re doing” Dennis Allen
I like him, he’s doing damn good with what he’s working with
We all knew this season was gonna be rough….including the Front Office.
I think he’s doing good….he seems to have the respect of the players and staff. He’s kept the Saints competitive in almost every quarter…lots of mistakes, but mistakes can be worked on.
Finds a way to fight within every game.
I’ll trade you Mike Tomlin, Straight up. Take him please.
He’s doing a pretty good job of making it look like we’re not tanking on purpose, which we absolutely are.
I’m very happy with the progress and the learning tree Moore is going thru and our rookies is gonna be scary dangerous when it’s complete next year will be 2.0 of his regime getting better it’s only going up

Trust the process.
Very happy with him.
He needs to get to know what his players can do.
They are learning who can do what and the scheme.
I just know all these games we losing by 6-8 pts will turn into victories. Everybody knows when the Saints start clicking it’s hell for everyone it’s slowly coming
I’ll say this, it’s been the most fun/frustrating I’ve had watching Saints since Sean left.
Before that it was just frustrating/depressing. Moore has done a good job of developing a QB and giving him confidence.
He needs to be better at play calling and getting his guys to stop having penalties and being too damn passive. He’s a first year head coach on a team that isn’t expected to do much take more chances give the team more confidence. If it doesn’t work out it doesn’t
Not really tbh. I didn’t expect us to be good but there are so many penalties and the team looks sloppy and poorly coached IMO
2-6-1 (did we win a preseason game? 1-7-1 if not) in a 20 game preseason is how I’m looking at it. I am happy that the team has looked competitive, despite lacking talent.
I’m very happy. Team doesn’t look dead in the water like in the DA days. Also, really happy with Rattler, feel like he’s growing as a player.
He’s done well especially with game management. But defense needs major tweaks. Not sure if it’s Staley or personnel but so far Moore is solid.
I agree with the OP. We show fight and promise. That an improvement by itself.
We have to give this team 3 to 4 years to rebuild. Expecting anything less is counterproductive.
Patriots fan here. I think Kellen Moore is doing a good job with the current Saints’ roster. The team plays tough and that says a lot about the coaching. I wouldn’t say Rattler is the problem and it’ll be interesting to see what kind of QB he can develop into.
Good game. Best of luck to you guys rest of the season.
Buttoned up is not the phrase I’d used, but we’re more competitive than expected and I expect that things will take a while. Still neutral basically.
He’s taken a team with no talent and kept them competitive with multiple good teams like the Patriots, Bills, and 49ers. He is a good coach
