Paul George Is Back & Cooking Everyone🔥

This is a big step for Paul George to get back on the court. So, up until this point, he was not participating in one-on- ons or any team oriented drills. He was only doing individual work. Well, today after practice, Paul George was going a one-on-one against a variety of teammates here against Justin Edwards in the face up game. One dribble behind the back, a wicked double between the legs. My goodness, that’s filthy. and he hits it in his grill. Next victim is Tyrese Maxi. Just a very simple crossover into the you’re just too small. I’mma shoot it right over you. Now he’s working against Kelly Ubé. Sweep through into the burst of speed. Stop on a dime. Look at the footwork. Look at the execution behind the back. A ton of separation created. And it’s good. He’s looking quick to me. I’m not going to lie. going up against Justin Edwards once again. He fakes the jumper and right after quick burst into that same behind the back. That’s all the space he needs and he launches but he miss fires. And now we’re seeing him on the defensive side locking up Ammani Bates, swiveling his hips. Great contest. You’ll take that type of defense every day. Maxi being petty right here. PG responds by just height shaming him. One dribble shoot it right over you. Unfortunate miss. Tyrese Maxi was cooking. He blows by Justin Edwards on this one to get it started. And then Paul George is able to stick with him pretty well. Solid contest, just better offense and finishing ability. Now, unfortunately, the basketball gods are not on our side because Paul George is starting to look healthier. They decide to take one more player away from us. Tony Jones reported VJ Edgecomb was nonparticipant in practice today due to hip soreness. He will be evaluated today and a determination on his status for tomorrow night against the Magic will be made. Obviously, the Sixers are not going to try to push anything. So, I would not be shocked if he doesn’t play tomorrow. But, I don’t think it’s too serious. Probably just, you know, his body trying to adjust to an NBA type schedule because for the last couple weeks, I’d assume they’re going really hard. Plus, they had to fly to Abu Dhabi and back. My guess is he’ll be fine. And I think he just needed a rest day hopefully. Knock on wood. But if he doesn’t play tomorrow, that would be disappointing because the Sixers got to start getting reps together. You know what I’m saying? I don’t want to see Kennedy Chandler on the court. No thank you. I also wanted to see what a three-gard lineup would look like against a large Orlando Magic team, but it is what it is. We’ll have to wait and see. It’s good to see Paul George rounding back into playing shape. It’s all about how his body responds. Now, that’s all I got. 1. Comparing them to the rest of the league the Sixers still have a “puncher’s chance” to compete only if health is on their side and Embiid adjusts his game a bit to look for more FACILITATING opportunities (Jokic, Sengun, Sabonis etc) The TEAM’s offensive game-plan has to have more motion and BALANCE in order to be elite this season

  2. You can only physically condition and prepare yourself the absolute best that you can and let the chips fall where they may. If you half stepped on the prep then thats on you.

  3. We'll have to see him pedal backwards and plant. That's how he injured himself three times now. I think once you injure yourself it's easier to do it again

  4. Its coming up to 3 months from his "clean up" procedure on July 14. That always was just enough time for even PG to get ready to play.
If he does play it will be on a minutes restriction.

For the record, fans like DJ Eastwood have been incorrectly saying that PG is so fragile that he had an injury during practice (in early July).
For those that don't understand, an arthroscopic "clean up" is only for past old conditions due to wear an tear – very likely he never fully recovered from the two hyperextensions from early last season. What happened in July was likely a flare up of the old condition.
If the "clean up" was fully successful, PG may be healthier than at any time with the Sixers.

At least PG won't complain about a minutes restriction. Embiid refuses to accept any minutes restriction that the medical staff recommends.
Embiid would rather miss whole games so as not to affect his per game statistics.
