I’m still confused and idek who to be mad at on the dodgers lol
Top 3 DP in major league history.

Ueck in the outfield confirmed.
Weirdest double play I ever saw.
This is the coolest play I’ve ever seen.
You have to appreciate just how many Dodgers had to get something wrong on that play for it to unfold exactly the way it did. I’ll take two business days to get over this play.

I wish Sal would have caught it and thrown out TH on a fly.
One of the weirdest and craziest double plays I ever saw. Still don’t know what to think about the whole thing and who to blame or not blame too. Cause the ump didn’t really help by it seems like they also delayed the call.
Absolutely insane. I made my wife watch it… and she left the room disinterested, but understanding why I was excited.
Wait there’s a Press phone?
Wait does the catch count as an out?
I would think it should be a live ball.
If a catcher muffs a catch, then it hits the net, and then he catches it again, that surely isnt an out right? Its a foul ball right?
Why is this a catch? Or is it not a catch? Im so confused.
Ah yes the ole 8-6-2 double play.
That was a sexy sexy play.

Ah yes, chaos ball
Love Sal! Lexington MA’s own! Heart and Soul and Roberto Clemente nominee! LFGGGGG!
Everyone here is focused on the home plate out. I get that it was a force out. But where was the second out?
It showed the catcher walking to third, but did he tag third base to force out the guy on second? The video didnt show the catcher tagging third. It transitioned to the outfielder so we never saw that part.
This is why I love baseball. There is so much that can happen in any moment.
Honestly props to this announcer. I would have been completely silent just trying to process
That’s fucking wild
Yeah.
So that was insane.
That was one wild play. Never seen anything like it! Wow, umpires had it right!
gotta love that classic ~~8-2~~ 8-6-2 forceout. playoff baseball rules, holy shit
I feel stupid, why is there a force out? If it’s an out from the OF catching it even though it hit the wall, then why wouldn’t the catcher have to tag the runner instead of the force out?
This crazy shit is what makes baseball so freaking awesome!
max muncy officially grounds into a double play that would’ve been a grand slam in dodger stadium.
Teo has very little baseball iq.
So Muncy remained safe at first at the conclusion of this play?
It was a HR!
I was not sure if the ball hit the yellow part of the wall or not. I thought it did? Wouldn’t that make it a home run? Just as many almost catches that go over the fence that bounce out of gloves or off Jose Conseco’s head? Can someone clarify this for me?
Insane play, glad I got see it in real time
Worst combined base running on a single play in a MLB playoff game I’ve ever seen. Whether you’ve been a good base runner who takes their job seriously in Little League, in softball, in high school, in college, in the Minors, or in the Majors, you realize the mistakes here.
With a ball hit this deeply to center and only 1 out, you’re taught:
1. As the runner on 3rd, you go back to 3rd, wait until you know it’s caught, and then tag up to run to home
2. As the runner on 2nd, you go back to 2nd, wait until you know it’s caught, and then tag up to run to 3rd
The force outs double play at home and 3rd by the Brewers happened because neither of these Dodgers runners did their jobs. If the Dodgers would’ve lost this game and eventually not make it to the World Series, I can’t imagine an overlooked play that would’ve deserved more blame to player mistakes than this one. These are supposed to be professionals who execute at a higher level than anybody in baseball. Here, they didn’t, and the announcers didn’t point that out enough.
How was there a force at home if the fly ball was caught? Did they rule the hit a GRD?
how did the second out happen ? contreras tags r3 at home but its a force and r2 is nowhere to be seen at 3rd. did r2 mistakenly think the ball was caught and decided not to advance bc thats the only thing that makes sense but the ball did pretty obviously hit the wall which would require him to run. id love another angle of the whole field lol
