What these 6 NFL teams NEED TO DO ahead of the 2025 Trade Deadline
that I’m feeling good right now. And I hope that you feel bad. Despite whatever you might say about your cowboys right now. On to some more pressing issues that we have to get to. And you alluded to this a little bit earlier in the show. JJ, with the trade deadline coming up right around the corner November 4th, we have like five potential deals, potential teams that we think they have some wants and needs out there. So let’s start off with this one. Eagles needing maybe some help with edge rusher and corner. That’s right. So the NFL trade deadline is November the 4th. We know that Howie Roseman the GM of the Eagles is one to wheel and deal. And you have a Philadelphia Eagles team that of course has Super Bowl aspirations. But they clearly have deficiencies on the defensive side. The offense is what it is. And they have that infighting that’s going on. But the defense no one really believes that this young defense is going to be able to hold up into January into February for the Philadelphia Eagles. And so their edge rushers, some are retired, some are elsewhere. They need an edge rusher. They also very clearly since really week one have needed a second outside corner. They have Quinyon Mitchell got banged up last week, but whether he’s injured or 100% healthy, you still need CB two out there on the other side. So whether it is at edge rusher or it’s at corner, some decent sized name probably needs to make his way to Philadelphia. I would anticipate the Eagles will not stand pat before the November 4th trade deadline, and they will make a play for at least one of those positions. Yeah, it’ll be interesting. JJ because you mentioned corner. They traded for Jacory and Ben and I thought he would be that answer on the outside opposite of Quinyon Mitchell. Because we know Cooper Dejean slides inside into the slot but also edge. Trey Hendrickson is a guy that makes a lot of sense an expiring contract. Obviously the Bengals don’t see him as a part of the future because they would have gave him that extension. Could Howie Roseman potentially be aggressive and get a guy like Trey Hendrickson? Yeah. And see the trick to that. Even executing that type of trade is seeing if Cincinnati will take take on a lot of that money, or if, if the Eagles have the space in terms of carrying that number. But that is a that’s a great call for them and I for myself. If I was building this team, I would go with edge over the corner right now. Because if you can find the edge rusher that can able to get out of the quarterback, that means the ball is coming out quick and these corners don’t have to cover for as long. So the Eagles not the only one that need edge rusher. Outside of that. You talk about when it comes to San Francisco. They need an edge rusher here JJ that is something they’re looking for right. And no doubt they’ve been looking for an edge rusher ever since Nick Bosa went out with that ACL. Of course again as you get closer to the trade deadline the requests from the other side start to come down a little bit, in large part because the other team, well, they’ve racked up a couple more losses and everyone understands at that point and early November their lot in life. But I would argue that edge rusher is even greater need for the San Francisco 49 ers today than it was before Fred Warner got injured. And why. Well we talked about how you’re not replacing Fred Warner but through any means. And so at least get an edge rusher who can impact the quarterback who can make life easier on the second level of the defense. And so Bosa has been out with the ACL. He’s not coming back Fred Warner dislocated and broken ankle. He’s not coming back. So get someone who can affect the passer who can help out the back seven there in San Francisco. Edge rusher. They’re going to be competing with Philadelphia maybe competing even with Baltimore before the trade deadline even though they’re 1 in 5. But San Francisco needs edge help. I want to know what JJ thinks about this right. Bradley Chubb his name has been thrown out. Jaelan Phillips is another guy, right? I believe he has one more extra year on his deal because he was a first round pick. He’s a guy. Because Miami has struggled so early in the season. He could be a name. But how about the linebacking position Quincy Williams from the New York Jets. Now Fred Warner is a mike linebacker and Quincy is a whale. So De Winters would probably be the Mike linebacker. You have Quincy as the will, and Quincy is a guy that was with Robert Saleh. A matter of fact, when he was all pro Quincy Williams, it was with Robert Saleh in this system. So I think Quincy Williams, who’s on an expiring contract for the New York Jets, he is banged up right now but should be ready to go in about two weeks. Makes a lot of sense for the San Francisco 49 ers. Yeah and I agree with that. And I’m agreeing with the linebacker position being addressed because the San Francisco 49 ers have already traded for Bryce Huff earlier in the year to get additional help. And like you guys have said it’s been a while. And they’ve always been looking for that rusher opposite of Nick Bosa. Which is why you took Michael Williams in the first round. And you’ve spent a lot of draft capital at that position. So I think addressing that linebacker position because Dee Winters has played solid, but he has been exploited some in coverage. And so adding another linebacker that makes a lot of sense. We go from the defensive side of the ball. Now over to offense. Texans on a bye this week. And we’ve had this discussion though multiple times when it comes to Houston and trying to protect C.J. Stroud and what they did in the off season to be in this spot right now. But JJ, you’re saying yeah, he could use some help. Yeah, he could use some help. And look, offensive linemen they don’t grow on trees first of all right. The size the build. And then frankly just how good they are. Teams aren’t willing to part with them. But Nick Caserio always has draft capital that he is willing to spend in ways that, frankly, other teams may not be. And he needs offensive line help. I’m not willing to say the Laremy Tunsil trade was a mistake. I’m not willing to say that the moves they made in the offseason ultimately will not work out. But where the Houston Texans are today, even though they’ve gotten a couple of wins, maybe against some bad teams, CJ Stroud does need some extra protection. There’s still ten games left in the season. It’s a long year. Injuries are going to take place and so I could absolutely see the Houston Texans being in the market for an offensive lineman, you probably want tackle, but you could also go guard hopefully get some sort of swing combination there. I could see the Houston Texans and GM Nick Caserio making a move for offensive line. JJ is 100% right. The thing is, I’ve combed throughout rosters to see who would potentially be that guy. To JJ’s point, offensive linemen usually don’t get traded. Good ones. At least they don’t get traded because they’re a rare commodity when it comes to the NFL, you don’t trade away good offensive linemen. So when you look at the Houston Texans, like they put themselves in this scenario by not addressing the offensive line, they brought in some spot starters throughout the offseason, but they haven’t really fortified that offensive line to really help CJ Stroud. Like I said, I climb climb through rosters and there’s not many names out there that would probably make an immediate impact for that offensive line. Sir, help me with my memory. Didn’t they just trade Cam Robinson? They did, but he wasn’t even starting for them. But you trade Cam Robinson and you trade Laremy Tunsil. Correct. So it’s kind of like, why would we try to trade to get one? Here’s where I think the Houston Texans should go. I think they need to go and address the middle of their defensive line in terms of a defensive tackle and who may be available there, who’s available, I don’t know. We’ll sign back. But to me, that’s where teams have really gotten after this, Houston Texans defense is being able to run right down the middle of that defense because you don’t have those bigger bodies, those active, disruptive bodies that demeco is used to having patriots. We saw what they did bringing in Stefon Diggs helping out Drake Maye. But of course he’s getting better and better. You want to see him with maybe a true number one wide receiver JJ New England needing a receiver. Yeah New England has needed a wide receiver for some time. There’s been no question no doubt at all about that. They have Stefon Diggs who absolutely is starting to look like his old self so far this season the last couple of games. But that doesn’t mean that the Patriots don’t want more receiver help. That doesn’t mean that the New England Patriots won’t need it beyond just this season. With Stefon Diggs playing the way that he is right now. The truth of the matter is you have Drake Maye on his rookie contract, and he will continue to be one of the best bargains in sports, so long as the rookie wage scale exists in the NFL and you have a great quarterback like they have in young Drake Maye, the Tar Heel. And so a wide receiver is something that they could continue to use. Now of course, everyone wants to talk about AJ Brown. And no one ran wants to ever look at what the dead money would be if the Philadelphia Eagles ever traded AJ Brown somewhere else. Right there. There’s logic involved in some of this. But all that said, the Patriots have the AFC East division crown in their sights for the first time for the better part of a half decade. They want to get there. They’re going to need more wide receiver help, not just this year but beyond. And that is why they have been wanting to make a deal for a wide receiver, and they hope to make one before the November 4th trade deadline. So from needing wide receiver help to maybe need some help with the position of running back, we’ll finish this last topic with a two for here. Chargers and Chiefs JJ both could be needed one. Yeah. So the AFC West you got two competing teams both looking for running backs. Now I will say in week six they needed a running back a little bit less than you may think today right. Vidal went out and had a great day for the Chargers. Isaiah Pacheco started to run a little bit better right. And you still have of course, Xavier Worthy and Rashee Rice coming back from suspension. And they’re sort of catches can turn into runs. But both of those teams I believe still looking for some running back help because Omarion Hampton will be on injured reserve for at least three more games, likely more. There you could see and look, it’s not going to be a first or a second or third round pick. We’re not talking about a day two pick going anywhere for a running back, but both of these teams looking for some running back help. I could see both either of them making a deal. Sending a day three pick somewhere to get some running back help. Yeah, I had the Chargers. I did this exercise a little bit earlier in the week. I think Alvin Kamara makes a lot of sense, especially because they’ve really struggled to run the ball. Now to JJ’s point versus the Miami Dolphins Vidal looked really good running the football. But everybody’s been able to run against the Miami Dolphins defense I think Alvin Kamara if they are going to be pass happy right and lean on Justin Herbert’s skill set. He’s a guy that can be a best friend out of the backfield. For Justin Herbert JJ alluded to it. We don’t know how much longer Omarion Hampton is going to be out. We know bare minimum it’s going to be three more weeks. Could be longer than that. I think getting a guy like Alvin Kamara to the Chargers makes a lot of sense. You talk about a lot of sense for the Chargers Alvin Kamara and the Chiefs offense. Because if you think about when this team because I don’t know the last time the Chiefs have had 1000 yard rusher from that standpoint. But when this Chiefs offense is really humming is when they have that third down back that they use Jett McKinnon in and use a bunch of other guys. When you can get these type route running type backs on these choice routes and these third down situations because you’re now getting Rashee rice back, you have what’s the Xavier worthy back. They can stretch the field. And then and now you have a back on a choice route. And you have Travis Kelce on a choice route. That’s that would really open up this Chiefs offense. So Alvin Kamara type in that offense. Look out. Yeah. You know what I’m looking at the rushing yards too. Speaking of your point to Patrick Mahomes leading the way 222 yards. So very very soon. So that’s all I’m saying. All right thank you JJ appreciate it. Just I had to look at that real quick. That’s kind of crazy. So yeah they really do need to run it back there. Appreciate it as always JJ don’t forget of course the conversation continues. We still have games later tonight. Monday Night Football Bills and Falcons 715 eastern between the two sides and the bears out in the DMV 815 eastern against the commanders. We’ll see how that pans out for

Texans got wins against bad teams, please tell me wtf the Colts have played?
Rams need a corner desperately along with a kicker
Niners need help on D, duh! And get healthy on Offense. I could have done that part of the vid.
Replacing the best LB in the game is going to be hard. Rest up, Fred. We got ya! 🙏🏻
Trade Alex Highsmith and a 3rd round pick for AJ Brown
💪Week 6 was proof Chargers need OL more than RB. Period.
Bro the cowboys need a DB and Edge rusher more than any team like wtf 😭😭
The Pats don’t need a receiver? I’d say do you even watch the games but with that take it doesn’t look like you even check the box scores. We need LBs.
AND NEW AFC EAST DIVISIONAL LEADERS………THE NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS!!!
So yall not going to say who the patriots should get Smdh
Pats can draft a WR1 in’27. Their needs are on the O Line. There is no push from Bradbury or Moses in the run game. Move Wilson to Center. Draft RT, CB and Guard(hopefully in that order).
Yeah trading for Trey hendrickson would probably be the best option for the eagles then maybe signing Asante Samuel JR when hes eligible to play and have him play the 2nd half of the year or so. Theyd be set then.
There’s no way in hell the Patriots are going to give howe Roseman a lot of pics for AJ Brown, no way in hell!!!! 2nd & a 3rd and that’s it. Roseman will say no so It’s not gonna happen.
RAN doesn’t know how to pick players That’s why he got fired in Tennessee.
Cap hit for aj is to much he ain’t going anywhere.
