I may never recover from the trauma but…

  1. The result sucked, but yeah, what a game. Snell was locked in, even our pitchers did well to only allow 2 runs to LA. This is going to be a close series.

  2. Give credit where it is due: Snell pitched an all-timer last night. That was impressive….and we STILL had a shot at the end.

  3. I’m looking at it like this… The Dodgers needed their fucking ace to almost throw a no hitter through 8 fucking innings to beat us by 1 run. Our pitching did great too. Our bats can’t be as cold as yesterday. Today is fucking ours!

    Snell is a fucking Dawg…

  4. Given the performance our defense and most of pitching gave, I’m convinced that there’s a lot of capacity for these guys to win out as long as they get Blake Snell out of their heads. That was a brutal, impressive outing from Snell. The run support was going to be hard to come by last night (save for a potential 2-out HBP that we could argue about for years) but that doesn’t necessarily hold true for the rest of the series.

The reality of it is that both teams will make the other regret any modicum of an opportunity they’re handed. We saw it last night with the Dodgers’ bats and I take that as a pretty good tone-setter for the rest of this run.

  5. If you look at it in the light of day, we played lights out defensively, had atrocious hitting, yet still were in great shape to steal the win in our last at-bat. We have to exhaust their pitching staff, we still have a great shot in this series.

  6. As a fan, give me a series with more games like that. Sure, home runs and flashy plays are fun, but it felt like the Brewers proved they can hang last night. Also watching Snell pitch like a stone cold killer was legitimately fascinating.

More hits would be nice, of course.

  7. BT had two chances to at least get us extra innings.

Don’t be your best ball player, next time wear the baseball if they give you the opportunity for a walk without too much damage.

IT’S THE NLCS, NOT GAME ONE OF A 162 GAME SEASON.

For perspective, as a soccer player I’ve been kicked in the foot about a thousand times by BFGs for a lot less and kept playing, and I’ve also had to make the decision whether to duck or take the soccer ball in the face from 10 yards away. I took it in the face. It’s not a 90 mile an hour fastball, but a dirt ball to the big toe would have been worth it to deflate the Masters of the universe in game 1.

  8. If you were a 3rd party fan watching it that was probably like the ultimate game. Crazy fun double play, watching Snell throw one of the better playoff starts in history, almost a crazy comeback

  9. I actually fell better about the series after last night. Snell was unbelievable and we were one bad swing and miss from winning.

  10. Snell had an all time game. You have to respect that and yet they still had a good chance to win at the end. That has to be in the back of the brewers hitters minds after this loss. As long as they can hang around they have chance. And frankly it’s been that way all year with this team. So many games I thought were over after the 5th inning then suddenly they pull ahead somehow in the end. It’s tougher in the playoffs for sure as there is less margin for error but they surely proved they could still compete in this game. Even with Snell getting loose and facing the minimum they still were only down 2-0 in the last inning coming in.

  11. What a thrill to be there in the stadium. The 9th was one of the most nerve-racking innings of my life. Can’t get that anywhere else but playoff baseball. We are down but certainly not out!

  12. How many times can you hold the Dodgers to 2 runs and lose? Lol. Very disheartening but its a long series just gotta take the next one

  13. After Snell’s incredible performance, it’s crazy we rallied and should have at least tied the game. We CAN hang with these Dodgers. Bats gotta get better, and should.

  14. Had my butt puckered until the end! Sucks we lost but we almost had it in the end.. just needed a base hit and that would have been the difference

  15. Phenomenal game. I could do without walking in runs but aside from that blemish that was a ridiculous game.

Offense sucked, but the Brewers defense was incredible and the pitching performance by Snell was absolutely masterful.

  16. I don’t wanna change yer mind. Game didn’t disappoint and the crowd energy was excellent 💪

  17. By the middle innings when you could see that Snell could throw both the change up and curveball for swing and miss below the zone OR land them in the zone for strikes I knew we were in big trouble. He threw maybe the second best post season game ever, and the dodgers were very lucky that we didn’t tie it in the 9th. Glass half full??

  18. Fucking Freddie Freeman. I know I know. His personal life story is all very difficult and whatnot. But seriously. Just fuck off. I cheered him last year for being an absolute warrior for the dodgers, and he deserved every plaudit. But seriously, fuck off dude.

  19. I’m legit not even worried. This dodgers team is legit nothing is easy and NO ONE thought we could be here.

Snell also pitched a fucking amazing game and idk about yall but I’m giving him the credit he deserves.

  20. I’m glad I’m a lifelong brewers fan instead of a bandwagon dodgers fan. What’s the fun in baseball if you always get what you want? Just makes the good times better

  21. Exactly what I’m looking for in playoff. Good fun, great competition, and a heart attack too maybe
