  1. God what a boring call. The stadium’s rocking, Mo’s on the mound, and all we get is a dribbled out “on to the world series.”

  2. There is absolutely nothing like the old Yankee stadium. Nothing. Real fans weren’t priced out entirely, no one was sitting behind home plate like they were at a library. It had insane aura that paralyzed opposing teams. The new stadium can get very loud but I don’t think it necessarily psyches out opposing teams like the old stadium could. Playoff baseball at Yankee stadium in the 90s was pure electricity. Tearing down that stadium was one of the absolute hardest things I ever had to deal with as a fan and as a sports fan. It’s downright blasphemous to have torn it down. The new stadium is a well sanctioned shopping mall that can get very loud, the old Yankees stadium was a jungle.
