INSTANT REACTION: Mariners WIN ALCS Game 2 w/Jon Morosi | Seattle Sports
Beneath the open roof of the Rogers Center, the Mariners potential this October seems limitless. Their lead in the American League Championship Series is two games to nothing. In their previous ALCS appearances, they have never had a 20 series lead. They’re halfway to their first ever World Series appearance. Why? sheer dominance here in game two. Beginning with a 33 pitch first inning for Jay’s rookie Trey Savage in which the Mariners worked one thorough atbat after another that culminated with an impressive home run by Julio Rodriguez. The Mariners never trailed in this game. Of course, they needed some big help from Jorge Palano. Who else? his fourth go-ahead plate appearance of this postseason. According to the great Sarah Langs, he has now tied Ken Griffy Jr. for the most such go-ahad postseason plate appearances in a single season. Remarkable what Palanco is doing right now. We saw a Mitch Garver triple. We saw the bullpen pitch very effectively. It was a tour to force for the Seattle Mariners. You see plenty of fans have made the journey here to Toronto and my goodness, what is it going to sound like at T-Mobile Park. The Mariners now decidedly have the edge both in the series and also just the way their pitching has performed. They have Kirby lined up. They have Castillo lined up. Ryan Woo is healthy and can be a factor in this series late on. A couple words of caution though. The last time a team took a 20 series lead in the ALCS on the road, it was the Rangers back in 2023. They promptly returned home and lost the next three games in a row. Now, they eventually won the pennant, but I mention all this to say the series is far from over. The one thing we should also point out is that the runcoring environment at T-Mobile is very different from what we’ve seen here at Roger Center. Remember, in that series against the Tigers, every single game, including the epic game five, had a 32 final score. So, runs will likely be at a premium in Seattle. But goodness, the Mariners look very, very good right now. I will see you for game three in

Awesome analysis as always morosi! I especially liked how the skipper saved the frontline bullpem arms by using vargas and hancock to finish it up! I BELIEVE!!!
They are slowly replacing the Mariners legends. Edgar, Ichiro, Junior, Randy, the hall of famers and Felix, Tino, Alvin, Harold, Jay, Joey, Jeff, Norm and all the other guys and lastly, the manager Lou Piniella. Dan Wilson and these Mariners right now, you are the legends and you will be the legends.

Jon Morosi crushed the Toronto fans, yet again. Having thim broadcast in Rogerβs Center is jarring.
The Canadian invasion of T-Mobile begins on Wednesday where an ambush and slaughter will occur. LOL π Go Mβs. Good bird hunting for Fall.
Jon Morosi was too busy to notice Josh Naylor walking behind him. Jon missed his opportunity to interview Josh Naylor. LOL π 1:47
Toronto suburb native from Mississauga, Josh Naylor was figuring how to dispose of Jon Morosi for the false hope of a plane landing Ohtani in Toronto. 1:47
