I’m not going to lie to you, ladies and gentlemen. I am still uh very much heartbroken over the Tigers game five loss in Seattle to the Mariders in the ALDS to end our 2025 season. Yeah, the wound is still fresh. I’m still sad and I’m still heartbroken over that loss and just again over the fact that the Tiger season is now over. But this right here does put a smile on my face for the first time of hopefully many times. this Red Wings season. Throw up the Red Wings W’s, ladies and gentlemen. Red Wings win at home over the Toronto Maple Leafs. Again, the first of hopefully many wins for the Red Wings this season. This is the return of Tony Dwing postgame videos. I’ve been getting a lot of people asking me where the Wings videos, Tony D. Here you go. This is the return of Tony D Red Wings postgame videos. I can’t promise I’m going to do a video after every game. I’m I’m not going to lie to you. I cannot promise I’m going to do a video after every single game, but I will try to do as many videos for the Wings as possible for this NHL season. And like listen, tonight’s a good example. Even though I’m not in the best mood, and I’m still heartbroken and sad by the Tigers game five loss, that heartbreaking loss and their season being over, when the Wings get a good win like they did tonight, of course, I’ll come in front of this camera and talk about it with each and every one of you. So yeah, if you hit like and subscribe, it would put a smile on my face when I have not had a smile on my face in a couple hours now. Whenever I think about that Tiger’s loss and the season being over, uh, that makes me sad. So yeah, hit like, hit subscribe, I very much appreciate it, man. All right, that takes care of the quick business I need to take care of. Let’s talk about this Wings victory. Good win, man. Good win. Not just because of the fact that this is obviously our first win of the 2025 2026 season, but that’s a good bounceback win. You know, I was actually at the season opener, the home opener on Thursday nights. Yeah, that was uh not very fun. That was not very fun. Uh we were getting Jared Goth Chance going. How early was it? Like early third, I would say early third. We were getting the Jer Goth Chance going. That’s just the kind of night it was for the Red Wings. Obviously, um pretty lackluster performance, a really bad performance to start the season, but the Wings very much bounced back tonight. And they had a rough first period, too. That’s another thing that makes this such an impressive bounceback win. They didn’t really have a great first period either. Toronto were up two nothing after 20. It was looking like, “Oh jeez, here we go again. Are we about to have another just kind of a a dead lackluster night?” But the Wings bounced right back in the second period and third period. You know, three unanswered after Toronto took that early two nothing lead. And then even after the Leafs tied it right back up at three, three more unanswered from the Wings to end this game and get a pretty convincing three-goal victory in this one. So yeah, multiple points tonight. really nice fight that we saw from the wings in this one that we did not see at all in that season opener against Montreal, which is crazy by the way cuz we scored the first goal in that game too. Ly with the power play like LCA was electric for that dude. But you know obviously just vibes were high for that game and just right right after that throughout the rest of the night. But we’re not talking about that loss against Montreal to start the season. We’re talking about this win against the Leafs right here tonight. Uh yeah, multiple points tonight. As I was saying, going back to the original point I was going to make, multiple points tonight. Good bounceback effort from the wings. Good fight, good effort. Way to show a little bit of life in this one after you really didn’t show any life any fight in that loss against Montreal to open the season. Leading the way for the wings in this victory tonight. First of all, Razor baby Lucas Raymond, an absolute stud. Two goals in this victory for him. His first two on the season. And with those two goals, career number 99 and career number 100. Already 100 goals in a young career for Lucas Raymond. Absolute stunt, man. I think every Wings fan can agree that he is going to have a big season. I very much feel that way as well. Lucas is going to have a great year for this hockey team if he can, you know, hopefully stay healthy. Knock on wood. Uh yeah, great game for him tonight. that included the gamewinner. His second goal on the night turned out to be the gamewinner for the Wings in this one. So, good stuff, Lucas. Good stuff from the uh former Blackhawks turned Diet Red Wings, Patrick Kane and Alex De Brinket. Cat uh both of them with three points in this one. Uh Patty Kane with a goal and two assists. And then Cat with three assists in this one. Good stuff from those two. Both putting up three points tonight, too. And then also a goals in this one, Marco Casper, another young stud that myself and all Red Wing fans love and cannot wait to see what that youngster is going to do this season. He scored tonight. And then with empty net, Simon Edmonson, and Andrew Cop. Simon Edmonson, another one. Like, this team is just filled with so many young studs, man. That’s why I was so excited coming into this NHL season. That’s why a lot of us were so excited coming into this NHL season for the Red Wings. like there’s a lot of a lot of young talent on this hockey team that we are very excited to see. And you know, not even mentioning the youth movement with all the rookies that are on the team right now. We’re excited to see what the rookies do. We’re excited to see what a lot of the young guys are going to do. Guys like, as we talked about in this video, you know, guys like Lucas and Marco Casper and Simon Edmonson. We’re excited, man. The youth movement is here. I’m excited for it. We’re all excited for it. Brandon Snite was a perfect example of why we’re so excited to see this hockey team this season because the youth movement is here, baby. Seeing young guys like Lucas Raymond and Marco Casper and Simon Evson play a big part in this victory tonight. Love to see it. Absolutely love to see it. And then lastly, I want to give a shout out to the guy in net tonight, Cam Talbot. You know, he it was a blowout. like it’s it’s not like it really made a difference in that hockey game, but when he did come in against Montreal, like he didn’t give up any more goals to the Canadians. He uh technically pitched a shut out throughout the rest of the game on Thursday night. So, shout out to him for that. And then in this game tonight in the victory, 20 of 23 and 87 percentage and he had an assisted ball. It was for I believe it was Simon’s empty netter. He technically had an assist on that goal. So, yeah, how about that from Ken Talbid? 20 of 23, 87 percentage and an assist. He was doing it in the net and offensively. Good stuff, Cam Talbot. Good stuff, Red Wings. Great way to spend a Saturday night if you ask me. Uh, Saturday night home win in an original six match up against the Toronto Maple Leafs. We love it, man. For that to be the first win of the season. Let’s go. Let’s go, baby. Let’s keep it rolling when we play the Leafs again, this time in their place on Monday afternoon. With that, that’s all I got for this one, ladies and gentlemen. Thank you all so much for watching. I do appreciate as always. I hope you guys enjoy this video. I genuinely hope you guys did enjoy this video. I hope you enjoyed me talking Red Wings hockey. Uh, if you’re excited for more Tony D Wings content this season, and if you simply put, if you want to see more Wings content from me this season, leave a like, hit subscribe, uh, share with your friends, leave a comment, that’s how I know you are looking forward to seeing more Wings content from me this season. SHOWTIME DOES IT AGAIN
I know you probably dont watch college ball, but my Michigan Wolverines just got smacked. It was embarrassing. This was a nice win. I really need a lions win tomorrow night
Major props to Tony D….. first he endures (in person) the dreadful opening night debacle from the Red Wings, then comes the devastating Tigers loss… and he still is able to produce a high energy video covering the Wings bounce back victory. Well done, sir!
I must admit, In haven't followed the Wings since they won the Stanley cup. I went to many Joevisions during that time and when I saw how bad they were doing, that did it for me. Just 4 monthes until spring training starts. I guess baseball will always be number one for me because I don't care how bad they're doing, I watch every game until the end.
