Chicago Bulls Fans Just Got GREAT News…
What’s going on everybody? You are watching the Bulls Report by Chat Sports. My name is Patrick Seman and coming up on today’s show, I want to dive into Modis Bzelis and IO Dumu and why these guys have been looking absolutely amazing during the NBA preseason and why this Bulls young core. I’m actually feeling optimistic. I know I’m normally a negative Bulls fan, but after the preseason, these two guys are definitely changing at least some of my thoughts on this Bulls franchise moving forward. And speaking about the season, it’s just around the corner. We are almost back. And if you guys are fired up for the Bulls season, go down there, hit that thumbs up icon for me. See if we can get up to 200 likes on today’s show. So, if you guys are fired up for it, go down there, smash that thumbs up icon. All right, we’re going to start off first half of today’s show talking about Chicago’s very own Modis Buselis. And he’s just flat out looked amazing. so far. And you know, I’ve always been a Booze guy. If you guys have been watching the show, I think he’s really the one young piece on this Bulls team that you can really, really build around. And this guy, he’s even overexceeded my expectations. Like, he looks like he is in year four, year five of his devel uh development. But the guy just turned 21 years old a couple of days ago. So, he has looked flatly amazing. And throughout the first three games, I mean, he’s been efficient. He’s been scoring the basketball. He’s been hitting the boards hard. He has been a menace defensively. And in game one against the Cavs, 19 points, had eight rebounds, seven of 11 from the field. Game two, you know, didn’t really play too much. I think he only played about 14 minutes, but still had 11 points, two rebounds, three of seven. And then against the Bucks, 19 points, four rebounds, six of 11 from the deck. He also took Giannis off the dribble multiple times in that game. And you could tell the one thing I love about Buzzel is his mentality. Like he’s not scared if it’s Giannis or some G-League player guarding him. He is trying to go at his neck and trying to just be aggressive, which is something I absolutely love. And you know, listen, he looks better than I thought entering year two. Like he kind of feels like he is entering year four or year five of this process. And you know, I think Buzz, one thing I love about his game is how elite he is in transition. Like if you go look up his preseason highlights, like it is him just getting the ball quick, making one quick move, and getting to the basket. Because I do feel like younger basketball players, especially in the NBA, they almost try to do too much. They try to over complicate uh over complicate their own game where they got to, you know, hop in the bag, per se, and try to put a bunch of moves on a defender. That’s not modest bisellis. If he has you beat on the first move or just a simple rip through move, he will take advantage of that and get straight to the cup and especially him being elite in transition when having a point guard like Josh Giddy like that’s a perfect combination for Bzelis continuously developing his game. And also his handle probably the one I’m going to say negative of his scotter coming out was his handle was pretty loose but he did show potential with it in the G-League. Well, that handle looked super tight. I mean, this guy, I don’t know if he was just putting in hours of hours of work in the summer, but it looks night and day even compared to last year. Like, he’s got that nasty, you know, pick up pick through dribble. He’s also got a sweet um de acceleration move where he’ll get to the lane and he’ll just kind of pause on that one foot, defenders go flying over him like he had that one nasty move on Evan Mobley. So, he’s looked fantastic. And I’m not even trying to get, you know, clicks by saying this. I’m not trying to be too hyperbolic. I legit think he can be an all-star this season because the Bulls are going to put up a ton of points this year. Now, will they be able to defend at a high level? We’ll wait and see. I’m going to probably say no on that one. But he can be an all-star because if he goes out there averages 22, six, and maybe three per game, and then he’s also giving you elite defense with how depleted the Eastern Conference is this season. Like, that is fully fully on the table. But now the question becomes, did the Bulls finally find their guy? Because this front office, even though they have driven me up a freaking wall over the last six seasons, they have always gotten to the back to the point. Once we find that guy, all the other pieces around him will be elevated. Is Bzelis that guy? I still think he is maybe a couple years away from being that true number one, that true face of the franchise. But so far during the preseason, I honestly couldn’t be happier. And I always get back to this with Bisellis. It’s his mindset. Like this guy is just a straightup junkyard dog. He feels like he got it out the mud. He feels like he’s trying to improve every single aspect of his game every single year. And, you know, good example for seeing guys, you know, add certain spots to their game every single offseason was a guy like Anthony Edwards where Anthony Edwards came into the league, he was a hyper, you know, athletic guard. He was just really trying to put pressure on his on the rim, but then he started improving his handle. Then the one offseason he improved his three-point shot and now this offseason he’s improving his mid-range game. Now we’re seeing that with Puzzellis where clearly he was focusing on this offseason catching through catch and shoot threes and then also that handle and we’re already seeing that come to fruition, you know, so far this season. So I ask you guys this, what’s a you on this one? Is Modis Bisella a franchise player? Give me a Y for yes or give me an N for no down below. I’m going to be saying yes. I think he’s got that potential. Um couldn’t be happier with what we’ve seen from number 14 so far during the preseason. Now, we’ll dive in the IO Dumu here in a second, but before we do so, I got to tell you guys about today’s presenting sponsor, and that is Prize Picks. Now, you and I make decisions every single day. But on Prize Pick, being right can get you paid. So, don’t miss any of the excitement this uh this basketball season on Prize Pick where it’s good to be right. But shout out to Prize for sponsoring today’s show. Price, it’s good to be right. All right, another Chicago kid we’re going to talk about here. That’s also why I’m starting to buy back into the Bulls. I love having IO from Chicago. I love having Modis Buzzellas from Chicago. Just getting that blood on this team I think is fantastic. So, let’s dive into him because this guy, talk about players improving every single year. Number 11 is the definition of that. And he has looked amazing so far during the preseason, specifically game three against the Milwaukee Bucks. He was absolutely fantastic. And the one thing I love about IO, he seems like a very self-aware basketball player. like he knows his limitations, but that’s honestly an advantage to him because that game against the Milwaukee Bucks having 22 points, eight of 12 from the field, he really wasn’t a focal point of the offense. He was just playing within the offense and he was still able to be highly highly productive. Even game two having 16 points on 14 shots, game one, 12 points on six shots. Like I would take that every single day of the week for IO’s game. And I truly believe this. Even though I have my thoughts on Josh Giddy, I don’t know if he can truly be the point guard of the future for this franchise. But if he is the point guard of the future, which clearly is, Bills are going to try or Bulls are going to try to build around him. They need a defensive-minded guard who’s elite in transition. That is Io 218. He is a great point of attack defender. He’s got a super long wingspan, and I honestly think he is one of the best transition guards in the league. This dude might be the fastest player in the NBA. like he has the speed of a dear Fox out there when once he gets it in transition it’s just one pick through dribble and he is getting straight to the cup. So he looks amazing and that’s also why I will stick with this point. I love Kobe White. I think he’s a very very good NBA player. He’s a very good offensive player, but the Bulls need to trade Kobe because if you could somehow get, let’s just say, two first round picks for Kobe, even if they’re heavily protected, if you could have two first round picks and this young core that you have, that can spark a rebuild because this young core does look very promising. Like, I will give this Bull’s front office credit and I will eat Crow right now. Noah Sen, he looks pretty damn good. He looks pretty damn athletic. He looks like his game translates very well to the modern day NBA where you just want to have these super athletic wings that can play both ways elite in transition. So even though I’ve been very hyperritical of the Bulls front office, I see their vision. You want to get that point guard kind of similar to the Indiana Pacers where you get that point guard who’s an elite playmaker, especially in transition, and you just want to get a bunch of athletes around him. That kind of seems like what the Bulls are building now. I think it’s going to come down to can you find that center of the future? like can you find that true rim protector? A guy who can also spread the floor like a Miles Turner for example for Indiana. But the young core looks promising. Giddy Buzzellis IO Asen that’s it. Everybody else in my opinion could be expendable. Um even a guy like Patrick Williams even though he’ll be you know with this team for the next four years. Nobody’s going to take that contract. But I am very excited about this Bulls team um honestly for the first time in a while. So I will give the Bulls front office credit um on that one. But if you guys made it to the end, we appreciate all of you guys for watching. Just hit me with a real one down below in the comments section and we’ll get on out of here. As always, go Bulls.

Real One. I think Matas has the heart and drive of a star, I want to see him develop his midrange and ISO Ball. Once he becomes the guy who we know can make that shot no matter what, then we have our franchise guy. But until then, we'll see with this team. They'll be fast and fun if anything.
