Albert Pujols to San Diego? Why It Might Actually Make Sense

I would have been like I would have been like that doesn’t make any sense to me. But I do know that Pool Holes’s name has been associated with the Angels job and I’m like why would anybody want to hire Alberta Pooh? Cuz they still owe him money. No, but here’s the thing I didn’t realize. They don’t anymore. But I I actually didn’t realize that he was the manager of the Dominican team. That I didn’t know. So So if he’s already managing an international team, you make a lot of sense of the idea of leaning in on what their roster is. Listen, for this is the third time now that we’re having this conversation about do you find somebody who speaks Spanish, speaks the language of the players, can gain their respect. When Albert, if Albert Poles walked into the Padre clubhouse, people would go, “This guy’s one of the all-time great home run hitters in Major League Baseball history. This guy is the manager of the Dominican team.” This is news for me. I’m just finding this out. This guy speaks our language. This guy, when I say speaks our language, I don’t mean just Spanish. I mean, speaks our language of being a Dominican baseball player, understands our style, our swag, etc., etc. You you make a compelling point.

AJ Preller has hired “baseball” guys but it’s time to think outside the box and Grande says Alebert Pujols checks a lot of boxes!
