Count me in as a third.
I still think he is a Cade/Haliburton level player who has the potential to be even more. Difference is those teams surround him with NBA talent.
As a fan, it would have been kinda nice to see him on a more talented team.
The list of All-Star level guys that have had that bad of team mates their his first 5 years in the league like LaMelo is very thin.
Lamelo is a special talent. When healthy he’s one of the best players in the league.
Clicked the NBA thread by accident.
Melo isn’t great because he doesn’t know how to win with g-leagers apparently….sheesh.
The sun will shine on us eventually.
Man I want to see him stay healthy and see what can happen this year. We suddenly have weirdly good depth at the 1-3. Obviously the frontcourt is looking pretty suspect. I’m not expecting anything in terms of results this year. I just want to see a healthy Hornets, led by a healthy Lamelo, and see what we have. If Lamelo can’t stay healthy this year then I’m officially on the “he’s too injury prone to build around” train.
Once LaMelo is able to play 75 plus games and gets some quality talent around him Buzz City will be back in the playoffs
