Rockies Have Interviewed James Click, Scott Sharp, Matt Forman In Front Office Search

I don’t know who any of these people are, but so long as the last name isn’t “Montfort” I’m intrigued.

James Click intrigues me. He won a World Series as GM with Houston, and is (still could) almost going to another with Toronto.
5 minute Skype interviews probably. Skype because they’re stuck 20 years in the past.
James Click has worked with the Rays, Astros (post Luhnow), and is now a VP with the Jays. Would probably be the most intriguing and “smartest” baseball guy we could land
Scott Sharp is an AGM for the Royals.
Forman works for the Guardians as an AGM. Has been on many short lists for GM/POBO. The Guardians are pretty much a GM factory. Would be a smart/savvy hire.
Click would be an absolutely massive get. 15 years in the Rays front office learning how to win on the margins, A World Series title in Houston, and then helping build this Blue Jays roster in the ALCS this years. Hiring him and just letting him work would get us to the playoffs by 2030
Is that good or bad?
IF the CLOWNS who own the team would pay them and empower them, I would be excited… but history has proved that will never be the case here.
Just getting this organization up to speed on analytics, player development AND THE INVESTMENT it takes to truly be about it not just talk about it. Understanding and embracing baseball at Coor’s Field and having a true home field advantage. It’s like if North Korea suddenly adopted democracy
