I’m just going to come out and say it. He has made it clear this is not a favorable destination for him. I want players that want to be here. Watch Penn State football this past weekend to see what it’s like when people quit on the team. It falls apart quickly.

I know Suarez has been bad but I’d rather just sign Suarez for 2 years 20M or something. This guy is overpaid, overrated, and has made it clear he has no interest in being in Detroit
Not wanting to sign this guy is some Detroit versus Everybody BS. If you took a look at his contract with Detroit versus Boston it’s clear as day the Boston offer was more player friendly.
In a single move you could finally end the Jace Jung and Andy Ibanez experience at 3rd base. Having a platoon of him and McKinstry would be an auto upgrade both on defense and offense.

If he wants to make a deal do it quick. Veteran leadership and contact hitting are important for this team. But if signs point to his agent stringing us along don’t even entertain it. Scott should have a lot of things on his mind this offseason, don’t get sucked into a black hole of nothing
If only there as a team that already offered him still needing a solid 3rd baseman and a consistent bat.
