So since we beat the panthers, and the panthers destroyed the falcons, and then the falcons beat the bills, that means we are better than the bills, right? So we are going to win the super bowl!

  1. The Bills losing to the Patriots seemed to legitimize NE but maybe the Bills just have a weak defense.

  2. I will say this season has really taken the “any given Sunday” thing to heart. A lot of upsets and it’s hard to tell which teams are really great this year as of right now.

  3. I know we’re joking here, but that panthers win legitimately does look much better in hindsight. People were down on them in week 1 for losing to the Jags, but the Jags are now looking like a legit team (4-2), and their only other loss besides to us is to Pats who are also 4-2 and in first in their division. Meanwhile they smoked the Falcons (as noted above), and upset both the dolphins and Cowboys. We crumbled toward the end of that game but still hung on and beat what is now looking like a really solid team.

Granted the Saints win still looks unimpressive, and the titan’s loss is still embarassing, but the other teams who’ve beaten us are 4-2 (niners), 4-2 (Seahawks), and 5-1 (Colts) and all 3 BARELY beat us at the buzzer.

When you consider how injured we’ve been, and how many bizarre occurrences led to those losses, multiple wide open walk in touch down drops even outside the titans fiasco, we genuinely might be the 2024 Rams of 2025, a legitimately good team off to a rough start due to injuries and bad luck. And that team ultimately won the division and a play off game. For those who didn’t pay attention to them, they started 20244 1-4, including an embarrassing loss to the bears and a complete stomping by us.

Doesn’t mean we’ll be able to turn thing around like they did, but I do think we have a better shot at turning this season around then some people are giving us credit.
