Spurs in Top 100:

Victor Wembanyama – 6th

De'Aaron Fox – 28th

Devin Vassell – 86th

Spurs in Trade Value Rankings:

Victor Wembanyama – 1 (Group A: Completely and Utterly Untouchable"

De'Aaron Fox – 19 (Group C: "Only If They Made Us Do It"

Stephon Castle – 40 (Group F: "Lemme Save You Some Time: F-U-C-K N-O"

Devin Vassell – 61 (Group L: "He's Worth Way More to Us Than to You"

Jeremy Sochan – Honorable Mention (Group: Toughest Omissions)

I find The Ringer's Top 100 and Trade Value rankings to be fun to look at and thought I would post the Spurs on the list. Surprised to not see Castle in the Top 100 list, but the others seem to be pretty accurate. Wemby coming in at #6 on the Top 100! Makes me wonder the last time a 21 year old was in the Top 6 on anybodies Top 100 list. Players in front of Wemby are: Jokic, SGA, Giannis, Luka, Anthony Edwards (from 1-5).

I always find the Trade Value group names to be hilarious, so I included them. I can only imagine Harper will be add to the Trade Value list next year. Thought Sochan's entry on the Honorable Mention's list was interesting.

What were your thoughts? Any glaring omissions or player's ranked too high or low?

  1. When you see the ages of the players in the top 10, then you see Wemby at #6 at 21, it’s pretty crazy.

  2. Trade value list is old and doesn’t account for Fox’s extension, but he’s nowhere near top 20 in trade value right now

I’ll also say I don’t really see the case for Devin as a top 100 player right now, but that can change w a strong first few months of this upcoming season

Ideally by the end of the year we’ve got a top 3 (Vic) , top 25 (Fox), top 50 (Castle), and two top 100 (Harper and Vassell) players

  3. Is Vassell THAT highly regarded? If we use the metric 5 starters * 30 teams = 150 players.

  4. Niiiiice

Love the Ringer. Mad props to whoever came up with/developed their site’s and lists’ interfaces, because it it is perfection.
