Hopefully everything is okay for DeShon. You never know the reason for Personal designations on injury reports, but hoping he and his family are alright. Thankfully we have Peppers and safety depth in case he can’t make this game on a short week

  1. I’m glad that the personal reason absence in sports aren’t being treated so negatively off the jump anymore. Saw too many times in basketball players missing for personal reasons and the internet attacking the player… Just to find out that the player’s dad died. It’s refreshing seeing people treat athletes like humans instead of just pawns for entertainment

Hope everything with Elliot and his family is ok

  2. I really hope him, his family, and friends are ok. He’s a stud on the football field, but something tells me he’s a stud off of it, and if he needs some help, or someone needs him I hope everything works out! Of course I really hope to see him on Thursday making plays all over the field if everything ends up being ok though

  3. Hope everything turns out ok whatever it is. However this coupled with Tomlins stupid bulletin board material isn’t shaping up well for the Steelers.

  4. If I remember right he mentioned on Kuntz podcast that his dad was sick. I hope he’s doing alright.

  5. I think he said his father wasn’t in the best of health when he was on the Kuntz podcast a few weeks ago. Prayers for his family.

  6. Oof. I hope everyone’s ok. I really like that dude. Big hitter. Unapologetic about it. Got a mouth on him too. Would love to see him on the field tomorrow night.

But he’s also a person and I’m also glad he’s taking care of what he needs to.

  7. Yesterday he rewteeted multiple tweets of people saying “cancer sucks” or similar to that message so I have to imagine someone close to him has passed away from cancer.

Edit: Was not the actual Deshon Elliot twitter account.

  8. That sucks because he’s one of our best defenders, but hope his family is OK. Fam first.

  9. I’d hope the Steelers fly him in and immediately fly him out after the game. As long as his dad is okay for the weekend. There’s nothing worse than I wish I could have…
