Fuck Alex Bergman and the Astros
Dude might win a Gold Glove at 3rd and get moved to the outfield. I mean, this would be a very Royals thing for them to do.
Fuck Alex Bregman
This doesn’t make any sense. We just need somebody slightly above replacement level to help with outfield depth.
I would put ZERO stock in anything Jon Heyman says lol.
Your first mistake was listening to anything Jon Heyman says
This is pure bullshit.
Wouldn’t be against it but like, 0 chance it happens
I’ve been thinking about this for a while. Garcia had a fantastic season, but I still feel he profiles better at 2nd than at 3rd long term. An infield with Salvy/Jansen, Pasquantino, Garcia, Bergman, and Witt would probably be the best infield in baseball. Obviously, you’d still like to see them improve the outfield more, but I dont hate the idea.
Royals make you think they are tying to lose
The bat would be nice but I imagine that the Royals would come up short on bidding. They lost Santandar due to the deferrals and I would imagine they would also want some level of deferrals for Bregman.
While I think it’s never going to happen, it could at least be a signal of intent. Maybe the Royals willingness to spend is slightly more than we’re expecting? I’m not going to get my hopes up because I’m probably overthinking it.
Outfield… we need outfield bats.. particularly a center fielder with power. We don’t need another Jonathan India infield logjam.
I can’t believe this, mainly due to who’s saying it. That’s because Jon, in my opinion, is not a trustworthy reporter. If anyone else other than Jon can corroborate that the Royals are interested in Bregman, which I doubt because the Royals don’t typically do deals with Boras clients, then I’d be inclined to believe that it might be true.
Jon Heyman gets kickbacks from the Boras Corporation, his coverage is influenced by it, and he teared up, cried, deflected the question and abruptly hung up during a radio interview last winter about threats to his journalistic integrity when he was questioned about his relationship to Scott Boras.
I don’t believe a word that Jon says as a reporter or as a pot-stirrer, because unless there’s proof showing otherwise, there is enough of a reason to suspect that his coverage and his takes are compromised by greed, and by conflicts of interest with an agent pertinent to his coverage area that would be considered inappropriate by every other media outlet except possibly the *New York Post*.
As a Red Sox fan- moving someone to have Bregman play 3B can cause a bit of drama… /s
Quit turning infielders into outfielders! Garcia can play 2nd but DO NOT send him to outfield!!!
Duh!!!
We have MLB’s 4-5th best SS and he plays 3rd
I’d rather fill a need. Take a chance on Roberts Jr, pay Grisham or sign a Bader type. An overpriced 32year old third baseman is a luxury item, unless they plan on trading Garcia.
