Confidence in an Elias Pettersson bounceback is slipping.

Pety bouncing back. I believed that he would. I still believe that he will, but I’m not nearly as confident as I was a week ago because through three games, he looks exactly like the player we saw last season. Like no change. And I don’t think this is something that he doesn’t care. He doesn’t want to do better. Uh you look at like hits, he’s throwing the body around. Uh he leads all Kucks forwards and blocks shots. Like he cares, but he has looked anything like a star, never mind a superstar forward. Like he’s playing like a third line center. Like he’s deferring all the time, making the safe play. Um you know, he hasn’t done anything close to what Kefir Sherwood has done like like skill-wise. Never mind like you know what I mean? like never mind the body checks. Uh imagine if Pety had scored a a a breakaway goal like like Kefir Sherwood did the other night, you know, busting out every move in the book before before putting in the net. Uh well, the City be would be thrilled by that. So, if he could just get to Kefir Sherwood levels, we’d be happy. But he’s so far away from that right now. Um I don’t know what it is. They’ve got to find they they’ve got to shake up the the lineup. Like that first line is you know, has not worked.

  1. Hes one of my favorite players and it's definitely frustrating. You're right about needing to change around that first line. It is just not working.
