LA Clippers VS Sacramento Kings Full Game Highlights Oct 15, 2025 NBA Preseason

the farm c some of the best defeat here for the opening tip and jaming it across. Defensively when you’re playing this Clippers team, you absolutely have to be ready for the spread floor and be in your on your pick and roll game at a high high level. Chared switches on to Harden. Shot clock already down to seven. Miller on the drive against Lavine Zubots trying to body up against Sabonis. Out to Jones Jr. from the baseline and a good defensive opening sequence for Sacramento. Here’s Lavine in the front court. Zoom action with Sabonis. Great pocket pass and Sabonis with the finish. Good offense, Katie. I like that play early on. Quick attack, but if James Harden continues to go under on the screen on Zack Lavine, pull that trigger, Zack. Zack quick to remind everybody to the shot 45% on three-pointers last year. Jones had it knocked away by Shruger. They retrieve it. Here’s Harden from the wing and it cars off to Lavine. Sacramento will be intentional about trying to run and get something early in the shot clock. [Applause] Sabonis back to Lavine. One more to Shruder on the baseline. Sabonis extra pass. One more. Lavine for three. Great process. They didn’t get the result. Beautiful ball movement. I mean, you pass up some good shots to get a great shot. did not fall, but that’s the type of ball movement that does this. He wants Miller inside draws the foul on Sich and he’ll go to the free throw line. Miller shooting 80% from the line a season ago. And he is one of those young players that is on a two-way contract getting the start tonight for Tyoo. This is a a very season team. They in fact are the oldest team in NBA history at over 33 years, two months the average age on this roster. So, a young guy getting in that starting role tonight. You’re trying to say they’re NBAA RP. Love it. Mark, there’s Shruder multi-year vet. Has a car off to Miller. Out to Kawhi Leonard, who looked extremely impressive in preeason, although missing that three, but he is in tremendous shape and fitness. I just want it on the record that you’re the one that said that because I’m not going to take the heat for that. This is by far one of the deepest teams in the league as they missed the connection between Demar and Zack there. Nice look. I love that Zack was floating behind that defense trying to get an easy one. Sacramento looking to flow into early offense and get something early in the shot clock. Shruder all over Harden [Music] stays connected. Zubat’s little push shot comes out to Sabonis. Aas led the NBA in rebounding a season ago. Kicks it back out to Shruder. One more Sich has hardened guarding him. Shruder drives by Jones. Back out to Sabonis. And that one a little bit strong to Kai Leonard. Leonard with a little bit of pace into the front court. This Clipper team lost in seven games in the second round a season ago. Pardon me, the first round against the Denver Nuggets. Zubats working against fellow Croatian Char inside for Jones Jr. for the slam. Yeah, the patience there. You see Damont Sabonis coming on that low side for that double team and allowed Jones Jr. to get behind the defense there and get an easy one. Nice slip by Sarru. One more to wide open Sabonis. He’s 0 for two from deep now. He showed a proclivity to shoot the three a little bit more last season, Katie, and we saw him hit it with a pretty good degree of success. He was hovering around 40% late in the season. Yeah, I mean, he shot 42% on the on the season a year ago. I think the big thing was wanting him to shoot more, but he has yet to knock down a triple in the preseason. Here’s D Rozan into the corner. Sabonis not shy. That one hit the side of the backboard. Quickly 0 for three from deep. James Harden coming off an all-star season last year and that jumper comes off. Dennis Schru has been so good as he has throughout his entire career, Katie, at hitting that ball ahead. Tried to hit. It comes off to Sabonis. 13 on the shot clock. D Rozan. Sabonis with the offensive rebound and the put back. Gets to that security blanket on the left side there to be able to finish with the strong hand. taking some some hits underneath the basket, but you’re right about Dennis. I mean, he does an excellent job of seeing the floor. Off the turnover, here’s Lavine. They’ve got numbers. Threeon two. Lavine takes out his do-it-yourself kit and lays it home. And I think that’s going to be an important part of the Kings offense this season is if their defense can create those opportunities. Oh, great defense by Sabonis with the Larseny. Timeout, Tyoo. And Sacramento doubling up on the Clippers 8 to4 with 731 to go in the opening quarter. That is his strong hand. That’s the hand he writes with. That’s the weird thing about Keegan. So, he’s not going to be pinning any novels while he’s out. That’s for sure. Well, part of the good news is that he had the same surgeon do surgery on him coming into his rookie season on that same hand. So, little familiarity there. Zubots with a quick jump hook. Knocks it down out of the timeout. Trud will bring it across against Jones Jr. See what the Kings look like offensively. [Music] Sabonis off the elbow. And what a split cut. Here’s D Rozan. Touches the paint. Isaac Jones checked into the ball game during the last time out. Great time by Domas to Shruder. Just a beautiful pass there. Threading the needle. And I love that Shruder knows that. Domas is one of those players that can make that pass. Did not hesitate. Yeah, great pass by Shooter. Jones and one and Derek Jones will go to the free throw line trying to complete the three-point play. Foul’s going to go against Demar D Rozan. Put a lot of pressure on you and that’s going to open up a lot of those back door cuts. One thing you cannot do is hesitate. And and Shooter right there did a great job of seeing it, bringing his man up in Derek Jones Junior Jones Jr. and then going straight to the cup. All 10 of Sacramento’s points so far, Katy, have come in the paint. We have a whistle and a foul underneath. Yeah, it is it has not been a tremendous shooting night for either team. They’re combin uh Kings from the offseason not being in playing shape, game shape. It’s a lot different to to play in a game and have your legs under you. You can do a lot of conditioning, but it does not necessarily transfer over. You need these preseason games. The Kings defense this year. Shruder will trigger sideline out of bounds to Levine. Talked about conditioning. Christine and Scott Perry aligned in the sense they want Sacramento to be the best condition team in the NBA as Shruder floats that one home with the auspicious bounce. Jones inside cleared by Sabonis quickly out to Shruder. It’s D Rozan. D Rozan got to his spot and couldn’t cash out. Nobody made more mid-range jumpers last year than Demar D Rozan inside on the baseline. Miller missed an easy layup. Shruder on the bounce. Shruder had a wonderful summer. Won the gold medal with the German national team in Euro basket. Was voted most outstanding player of the entire tournament. two years before also the MVP of the World Cup. He’s had quite an international career for Germany. Boy, Isaac Jones releases that three. Told me earlier’s been working on that corner three all summer long. Spent his entire summer and offse here in Sacramento trying to perfect that shot. Such an important component to be able to add to your game as a big. I mean, he took just eight triple attempts last season, made three of them. Wow. Light work for Kawhi Leonard on that meeting. Six-point lead for Sacramento. So good at getting shooters and scores the ball in their spot. Calls his own number and left it short. Leard brings it across. Tween Tween spin out to Harden. There’s a three that rims out to Sabonis. Sabonis with a loose handle. wildly out of bounds in the third row. There’s a foul on the play as Ne and is showing Doug Christie a lot of different things that he can do and I think he’s gaining a lot of trust in his head coach. But I think, you know, one of the the most impressive things that I have seen from him here in the preseason is just his his playmaking ability, his his passing and the way he sees the floor. That’s always a question with young guys coming in the first year because the game is a lot faster than the college game. Great discernment by Nick Clifford as they burn a timeout. Couldn’t get the ball in bounds. My partner said it. There’s Lopez. Pulls another one from the same spot. Same result. That’s absurd. I mean, the the way he shot coming off the bench against Denver the other night. Same way. I mean, who comes out looking hunting for those threes? And he has become such a tremendous three-point shooter as his career has progressed. Clippers on an 11 nothing run right now. Sabonis against Lopez going against length. Sprays it out to Lavine on the baseline. Two on the clock. Got a 911. Got a fire. And Collins with the board to CP3. Sacramento stalling out a little bit Katie offensively on the last couple of sequences. Collins has it knocked away by Keon Ellis. Whistle and a foul going to be called on the play. And a lot of kind of the trouble call Brook Lopez. And Brook Lopez, as we, you know, talked about a moment ago, his three-point shooting, he’s very different than Zubox in the starting group and that he’s going to stretch that floor. Really wants to float around the perimeter. Yeah. Lopez started 80 games last year for the Milwaukee Bucks and has really embraced his role here for the Clippers. Jones comes out. Reo comes in. Are we going with Max or Maxim? Yes. I mean, I will not attempt to do the same thing. I can say baguettes. Um, and that’s about I’m not going to attempt. Max and I have had prolonged conversations in French. It’s going to be fun this year. Show off Mark Jones. Clifford out top. He’s going to get some time at point guard. And on the handle here, there’s a whistle and a foul against Chris Dunn trying to defend Demar De Rozan. But Clifford will be one of the primary ball handlers, Katie, at times for Sacramento this year. They like and feel comfortable with him doing that. Yeah, and we kind of touched on it a little bit earlier, just the the trust that Doug has in him from his performance just in the preseason uh games as well as as training camp practices. He is a phenomenal passer and he’s getting more and more comfortable every day at the pace of this game. Drives the close out. Clifford elevating. Got it blocked by Lopez. Tried to detonate on the rim, but Lopez had other ideas. Young fella, I like the gusto with which you go. Now he knows what he’s facing. We’ll see what he does next time. Keon Ellis picking up Chris Paul 3/4 kind of token pressure that time. Done defended by Ellis out to CP3. Don Collins at the elbow from 15. Eubanks with the rebound. Down four. Pressure defensively there by the Kings. Like that possession a lot. Eubanks on the baseline. going to try and walk down Lopez with the jump hook. Made the nice roll. Did a victory lap then fell and the Kings back to within two. And if you want to shoot over a shot blocker, that’s exactly what you need to do. Just a nice little baby hook shot there. Take your time. Lopez again. That’s three for three. Same spot. Same spot every time. That is the spot where he is looking to float to on that perimeter. He’s going to set a screen then pop out. If he makes a cut, he’s going to pop back out to that same spot. Here’s D Rozan. Under a minute to go in the opening quarter, staring down Batum. Clifford for three. Left that on the front rim. And here comes Chris Paul. 40 years old. He was the first one in the gym here. Now he’s here at 4:15. He was the first player from either team to get his work in. Lopez. That would have put him officially on fish grease alert, but it comes off. Nobody, no point guard in the history of the NBA has played as long as Chris Paul. And you know, when you look at it, him coming off the bench. He started 80 games last year in San Antonio, it is a role shift for him, but he feels it well. Ellis a little bit strong on the catch and shoot three and the Clippers can run it all the way down, leading by five. They’ll have the last shot here. Clifford in his defensive stance against CT3. [Music] Now Eubank switches on to him. CP3 with a little crude and eats with the three ball. The lead is up to eight at the first 12 final and he was by far the best player on the floor. Watched every game beyond a doubt he was the class of the field without a doubt. I mean and and basically come right into the season. That’s the only disadvantage to that is uh he didn’t quite get the the rested recovery, but he’s in great shape. He’s in great shape. That’s that’s definitely the the plus there. Rosen fouled by Chris Paul. And we’ll go to the free throw line for a couple of shots. Uh Kings desperately need to be getting to this free throw line. Seeing Demar kind of get to work. You look at the difference in this game right now and it’s the three-point shot. Five of 12 from deep for the Clippers. The Kings on the other side are one of 10. So maybe some free throws will get some things ignited here. And D Rozan was an 86% foul shooter a season ago. Misfiring on the first. And now quick word from the California Office of Traffic Safety and Cal Trans. We are human. Stevens in the ball game. He’s a former college teammate of Meek. And that’s going to be an and one opportunity for John Collins going to the free throw line. Collins at the free throw line. Acquired from the Jazz in a three-way trade during the off season. You know, back to Demar D Rozan. When it was announced that Scott Perry would be joining the Kings as the team’s general manager, Demar got a phone call from a couple of all stars around the NBA and now because Scott Perry will help build a winner in Sacramento like he has done in Detroit in 2004. He was part of that championship front office and most recently with the New York Knicks. But tomorrow was feeling really good about that as Eubanks misses the sweeping hook. [Music]
