So, make sure you click that subscribe button if you haven’t already to join the Steelers Doc family. Let’s just jump right in here. Man, the people’s insider himself on social media, uh, very lovingly referred to as Ricky, uh, the dog here has returned. And for those of you that roll their eyes at Ricky because he got the Brandon Iayuk thing wrong, and, you know, he admits that he got that one wrong a couple off seasonasons ago. Since then, he’s gotten the George Pickkins deal correct. uh literally less than 24 hours before he was traded to Dallas, he got the Jaylen Ramsay trade right for the Pittsburgh Steelers this year as well and a number of different things that he’s had scoops on that have turned out to be 100% correct during the off season. So, you know, this is certainly uh something where when Ricky says something, you listen. and he’s come back out of quote unquote retirement yet again uh to give us the latest surrounding some players that could be dealt before the NFL trade deadline. So, the first one that he uh kind of revealed today is that the Raiders are getting set to trade Jacobe Meyers in the days uh and weeks to come before the NFL trade deadline. Now, just for reference here, the NFL trade deadline uh hits this season at on November 4th. Okay, so the Steelers have a little bit over a half a month to add a receiver to their wide receiver room, uh, if they so choose. And I do think that with the reporting we’ve seen from Adam Shfter, from others, that the Steelers are in fact looking for another, uh, receiving weapon to add to this group before the deadline, um, I think that that is certainly something that I’m expecting Omar Khan to do before the trade deadline hits here on November 4th. So, Jacobe Myers is the first name from the Raiders that uh Ricky mentioned today. He said that uh he’s not going to be a Raider for for much longer. And then today, um you know, you know, surprise surprise, Jacobe Meyers did not practice today uh with the Las Vegas Raiders. Now, the Raiders listed him with a knee and toe injury. So, maybe he is injured. I don’t know. But we really didn’t we weren’t aware of a Jacobe Meyers injury before today. And with this news, not only from Ricky, by the way, but Jeremy Fowler from ESPN reported that the Raiders are going to listen to offers for Jacobe Myers. Now, this just kind of feels to me like the like Meyers and the Raiders have a little bit of an understanding like they’ve probably had a discussion. And Meyers is like, you know, I want to be traded. The Raiders are like, “All right, we’ll trade you.” And then Meyers is like, “You know, since I’m not going to be with this team for much longer, I don’t really want to practice.” and then the Raiders are probably okay with that because they don’t want Meyers to actually get injured um to a point where he can’t be traded to a different team. So, I do think uh that even though the Raiders do list this as knee and toe injuries that this is probably, you know, he’s dealing with some bumps and bruises probably that’s probably the areas where he’s hurting the most. But like if he was 100% healthy with the Raiders, I think he’d be practicing and playing for the Raiders this week. But it kind of seems like that’s not gonna happen to help facilitate a trade in the weeks to come. So that doesn’t mean that a deal is already done or that a deal is in place or that Meyers is on his way somewhere right now. Um like some people are suggesting. It probably just means that the Raiders are just you and and Meyers himself for that matter uh don’t want to get him injured before a potential deal can happen. So that’s probably where that’s at at this point. But the fact that Meyers is all of a sudden, you know, kind of suspiciously all of a sudden now on the practice report and is not practicing lets me know that this scoop from Ricky is probably real and Jacobe is a very getable wide receiver for the Pittsburgh Steelers. In terms of the trade compensation that I’d be willing to give Las Vegas for a guy like Jacobe who’s 29 years old, he’s a little bit of an older veteran. He’s not a true number one guy. He’s only got one year left on his deal. Um, I would be willing to give up for sure a fifth round pick. And I would be willing to throw in either Pat Farmouth or Roman Wilson in that deal if they want either one of those guys. Um, I’m willing to use one of those guys as a trade piece to get a guy like Jacobe Meyers, but I probably would be willing to up my offer to even a fourth round pick. I’m probably not going to be willing to give up a day two or definitely not round one pick for a guy like Jacobe. Uh, but like I’d be willing to give up as much as like a fourthrounder and Pat Frymouth. Now I understand the Raiders have Brock Bowers and they got Michael Mayer. So they might may not even want Pat Frymouth, but Roman Wilson might be an interesting name for the Raiders like if if their kind of leadership had a high grade on Roman coming out and they feel like he can be uh somebody that can be injected into that offense. Clearly the Steelers, you know, don’t have the highest level of confidence in Roman at this point because they did give Scotty Miller pretty significant time over him last week versus the Cleveland Browns. And it’s not like Scotty Miller is a world beater out there. Um, so to get a guy like Jacobe Myers, that can definitely help this team win a Super Bowl this year. Um, if the Raiders want Roman Wilson in the deal, I don’t think that that’s going to be something that stops the Steelers from making this deal happen. Um, so that’s kind of where I’m at in terms of the compensation. Probably a fourth round pick at the most, but I would be very happy if you could get him for a fifth round pick. Uh, I’m not sure if the Steelers would give him a new contract if they traded for him. They usually like I mean for existing players for sure, they don’t give new contracts out during the season. I don’t know how they would approach this kind of situation where you’re trading for somebody, but um, you know, in terms of an extension, I don’t know uh what the money would look like there. probably around 15 to 17.5 million somewhere in that range per season if you want to get that deal done. Uh but I like Myers’s skill set and I think he’d be a good fit here in Pittsburgh. He’s a big body. He can run block. He’s a very tough son of the gun over the middle and intermediate levels of the field. That’s been an area that the Steelers haven’t really been targeting all that much this season uh is the intermediate and especially the intermediate middle. That’s kind of where Meyers specializes in. He’s got very quick feet for a guy of his size. He doesn’t have great long speed, but he’s got terrific hands. He’s got an over 60% complete uh contested catch percentage in his career. He gets open versus man coverage to the short and intermediate levels of the field. And frankly, I’m okay with him not being a vertical threat because you got DK Metaf and Calvin Austin the third that are more than capable of taking a top off the defense and create space for Jacobe Meyers. So, I think Meyers, as you know, an older veteran that’s been around the block, probably wants to play for a competitor, would love to come play for Mike Tomlin and the Steelers and catch passes from Aaron Rogers in this kind of season. Um, you know, I think that it makes a lot of sense for the Steelers to want to get Jacobe Meyer. So, um, he’s probably my number one trade target right now at the wide receiver position if I’m the Pittsburgh Steelers cuz A, I think it’s realistic. B, he would be a great fit. C, I think they can certainly afford the price tag that it would take uh, in terms of trade compensation to bring him here to Pittsburgh. So, definitely keep your eye on Jacobe Meyers and he could be traded to the Steelers as early as like Friday morning. All right. I really do think that because you know you the Steelers obviously play tomorrow night against the Bengals and then if you can trade for him on Friday, fly him out to Pittsburgh, give him a crash course and Arthur Smith ease, you know, in this scheme over the weekend and over the mini bye-week and then, you know, get him in there at practice during next week in preparation for Sunday Night Football and he might might even be able to play uh his Steelers debut versus the Green Bay Packers in week eight on prime time football. like that that would be a quick turnaround, but that is certainly something that could be doable for the Pittsburgh Steelers. And honestly, it might make more sense to get this deal done now because you’ve got that many by-week ahead of the Packer game. So, I I would actually say keep your eye out for Friday morning uh for for some news on Jacobe Meyers. If it’s going to happen and it’s going to happen soon, I would say, you know, that’s a team and that’s a player that makes a lot of sense for that to happen actually quite quickly. So, keep your eye on that. But the other receiver that the Steelers have certainly been monitoring for multiple months at this point that Ricky claims is going to be traded is Chris Olive from the New Orleans Saints. Now, Olve is another guy that I would like to add to the Steelers. He’s certainly somebody that’s a little bit younger than Jacobe Meyers is, but he’s still an excellent route runner. He can separate vertically a little bit more than Jacobe can. So, that’s something that he would bring to the table, but he can definitely separate to the short and intermediate levels as well. He also has pretty solid hands for a guy that’s a little bit more slender. Um, I like Chris Olive a lot. Now, the risk with a guy like him is the concussions. And there’s some people that speculate he takes another concussion, he could be out uh for forever. He could retire from football because he’s taken a lot of concussions and there is a little bit of a concern that if he takes another one, he he’ll just be done with football. So, if you trade, you know, it sounds like the Saints would probably want like a third round pick in exchange for him. you know, that’s a day two draft asset that you’re trading for somebody that might not be playing football in a couple of years. So, um, it’s certainly a risk to get a guy like Chris Olive, but the upside is certainly there. He’s still relatively young. Um, you know, one of the best pure route runners in the National Football League. Um, and I if I’m the Pittsburgh Steelers, once again, I’m not probably willing to give up a third round pick for him. I’d probably be willing to give up a fourth. And like I said before, a player like a fourth round pick and a player is probably the price tag that I’d want to trade for. And like if I can get Jacobe Myers for a fourth or a fifth, but I have to give up a third round pick for Chris Olive and take on the extra risk involved with his concussion issues along with the fact that, you know, his next contract is going to be very lucrative. already. He’s He’s just getting off his rookie contract here coming up soon. And he’s going to want to get paid like somewhere in the range of 20 to $25 million per season is what I would guess. I don’t think he’s going to get into the $30 million per season discussion, but like you’re going to have to spend a pretty decent chunk of change on Chris Olive if you want to trade a high draft pick for him and then give him an extension. So that would be a significant significant um investment that the Pittsburgh Steelers would be making in Chris Olive. Um, which is why I would probably cons I would probably prefer to trade for Jacobe Meyers. All right. I think that the price tag would be lower on Meyers. I think that um, you know, he’s got a skill set that works here in Pittsburgh. Um, and then the price tag, like I said, it’s just there’s just not as much risk involved with the concussions and with uh the, you know, the heavy contract that would be coming with getting a guy like Chris Olive. Um, I just think Jacobe Meyers fits the bill as a legitimate number two receiver that fits what the Steelers want at this position right now. And he he doesn’t come with as much risk or as high of a price tag. So, I would say I I would prefer Jacobe Meyers, but it’s not like if it’s Steelers trade for Chris Olive, I’m going to be upset about it. It’s going to I mean, him and and DK Metaf could work beautifully off of each other if Olave can stay healthy. I mean, Ave with his route running ability, he kind of does the things that DK Metaf doesn’t do quite as well as somebody that’s a bigger body, doesn’t change directions all that well, can’t route somebody up in man coverage as well as a guy like Chris Olive can. One of the more smooth route runners in the league. So, um, certainly wouldn’t a sneeze at at a Chris Olive trade. I would love that, but I would say at this point I would prefer a Jacobe Meyers trade over Olive. But another name that I want to discuss here today, guys, is somebody that the Steelers um were connected to in the pre-draft process a couple years ago. Somebody that’s uh, you know, shown some really good things in the NFL, but just has had some immaturity issues and he seems like he might be running out of rope with his current NFL team and that is Adini Mitchell from the Indianapolis Colts. Now Mitchell uh was really highly touted coming out of Texas a couple of years ago in the draft and I my high-end comp for him was CD Lamb because of his physical profile and this guy has incredible physical talent that you know has definitely shown in his time in Indianapolis. He is big. He’s 6’2 205. He’s got super super smooth feet and hips. So he can change directions extremely quickly and smoothly. uh which makes him a really dangerous route runner. And then also he’s got 4-3 speed, so he can beat you over the top, stack corners. Then on top of all that, he’s got really great hands. He only had a 1% drop rate at Texas his final season in college. And then uh you know, he’s had pretty good stuff in the in the league as well. He can make crazy acrobatic type catches as well. Now, it’s not quite like George Pickins level crazy, but like he can contort his body and, you know, make some tough catches out of his frame. And for a bigger guy, that makes his catch radius absolutely massive. So like AD Mitchell has the potential to be a legitimate number one receiver in the league. He’s only 22 years old as well. So like to inject a 22-year-old potential like number one receiver into your offense would be a really high reward kind of asset, but also the risk wouldn’t be that high because like the Colts have made him a healthy scratch because earlier this year he made a terrific play um where he made an acrobatic catch. He stayed on his feet and then uh he was rushing towards the end zone and then he drops the football trying to celebrate before he crossed the goal line and he ended up losing the ball out of bounds. So the Colts were obviously pissed about that. They benched him for the rest of that game and then they made him made him a healthy scratch the following week versus the Arizona Cardinals. And when you look at the Colts’s receiver situation right now, guys, they’re kind of set with a really good trio. They’ve got Alec Pierce as their deep threat. They’ve got Michael Pitman Jr. as their intermediate kind of hands kind of tough kind of grimy type of guy and you know kind of enforcer if you will and then you’ve got Josh Downs as one of the best pure slot receivers in the National Football League as well. So there’s not really a lot of room for Mitchell to fit in there as a starter and they certainly don’t need him. And then how could I forget Tyler Warren the rookie out of tight end out of Penn State who’s looking like a true dynamic weapon for them in Indianapolis. So, if like they’re kind of if if they’re kind of done with AD Mitchell’s kind of immaturity issues and all that stuff, like for a sixth round pick, for like a late day three pick, if they’re willing to unload him for that, that is something that I would consider if I’m the Pittsburgh Steelers 100%. Now, if I have to give up a fourth or a fifth round pick for AD Mitchell and I can get uh Jacobe Meyers for that same price tag, like I’m going with Jacobe Meyers. All right, it’s just not as high of a risk um as a guy like AD Mitchell is. And I understand that the Steelers have made a very conscious effort to get these kind of quote unquote immaturity issues guys off of the team. George Pickkins, Deontay Johnson, like do they really want to add another young immature wide receiver to deal with in the locker room? I think that’s a that’s a fair argument to make. But like if you’re looking for somebody that could, you know, be like from a physical skill set perspective, your f like a legitimate uh running mate for DK Metaf and he’s on his rookie contract. All right? like he’s going to he’s going to be cheap for multiple seasons. Pair him up with DK Metaf over the next several seasons where he can be a number two receiver. Uh learn how to be a pro from Aaron Rogers, from DK Metaf, from Mike Tomlin, all these guys. Um and he can maybe even be your number one receiver of the future. Like that is something that I would be interested in because when you got a receiver that can make tough catches down the sideline like George Pickkins could, when you got somebody with the speed to beat you deep like Calvin and DK can, when you got somebody that can uh run really good routes, beat press coverage, beat man coverage to short and intermediate levels of the field. Um that’s somebody that I’m interested man interested in man from a physical skill set perspective. Now, the Steelers did pass on Adonai Mitchell not once but twice in the NFL draft a couple years back. They they took uh obviously Futano in the first round over him and then they took Zack Frasier uh over him in the second round. So, you know, I think it would really come down to Mike Tomlin and whether or not he would feel comfortable adding a personality like Mitchell. Maybe they took him off their board because of bad uh because of bad interviews. apparently he didn’t interview well with teams um and people thought you know he brought a little bit of immaturity to the table there. Of course the Colts end up taking him in round two but um you know it seems like that’s not working out in Indianapolis. So that’s kind of like a kind of a a situation there where if you can get AG Ad Mitchell for like a sixth round pick for example and like you’re giving up a pick that likely isn’t going to turn into anything anyways and the Steelers have multiple you know day three picks uh at their disposal like if all it takes is a six round pick to get a guy in AD Mitchell who could be like a legitimate number one guy down the road and he’s only 22 years old and he’s super cheap and you know he could be uh a huge asset to this moving forward if he behaves, that’s a risk that I might be willing to take, especially like if the Raiders are trying to get a third round pick for Jacobe Myers or and if the Saints are trying to get third round picks for their receivers that they’re going to be selling off, but the Colts are like, “Hey, we’ll give you AD Mitchell for a sixthrounder. I think I’d rather do AD Mitchell than the other two.” But, you know, I think it all depends on what the offers are, what the teams are looking for for these guys. Um, so certainly keep your eye on AD Mitchell along with guys like Jacobe Meyers, um, Chris Olive, Rasheed Shahed, uh, Dantavian Wixs, Alen Lazard, all the guys that we’ve been talking about on these on this channel over the last several weeks. Now, before I say goodbye here for the day, guys, um the Steelers did host uh an allp pro bowler, an allp pro specialteamer, I should say, George ODM, formerly of the San Francisco 49ers, longtime veteran, former allp pro specialteamer. Um you know, Mike Tomlin has a lot of respect for him, uh because of what he’s done as a special teams guy. Mike Tomlin has a lot of respect for the special teams element of football. And uh you know, you look at a guy like Miles Kilibru probably out for the season with a with a knee injury and George ODM might be somebody with experience that could step in right away and and give this special teams unit a boost after they just lost their special teams captain. So keep your eye out for George ODM as a potential uh signing after Thursday Night Football. Um but yeah, just keep your eye on that. All right, that’ll be it for today’s show, guys. Thank you so much for sticking with me here to the end of today’s program. I want to thank you guys for sticking with me here. Ricky is a great source of information. He talks I listen
Wow! I can't believe you're not giving Roman Wilson and muth any respect at all, these guys have not had the ball thrown their way at all. Once in awhile and I still believe in. Roman Wilson you have to give him a chance. You can't talk down about him without seeing what he can do on a steady basis.
👍
I think you are giving Calvin Austin too much credit, he hasn't done that much this season either.
I want olave he’s better than Myers and younger
Yes to Jakobi Meyers. No to Chris Olave because of injury issues
JM is my pick. Willing blocker and great production for his position.
He's taking to long to develop hasent done much
You need a better voice of energy you are boring …. 👎👎👎 no motivation 😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
Mentioning Ricky as a credible source is wild.
We need to play Roman Wilson PERIODT
We need to keep Roman Wilson and give him a chance.
who is Ricky?
Seen a few ask… here's why Roman isn't playing.
We've played 4 down front teams and Artie Smith has countered by using jumbo 2 TE & 2 WR sets. When healthy Calvin and DK are the first two guys out there.
Even with Calvin injured Artie likes Scotty more on the outside than Roman Wilson… Scotty is faster and Roman is more of a Slot WR at this level.
Hes not playing for the same reason Muth isn't playing.
I’ll just say this, during this time of the year you really find out who are truly Pittsburgh Steelers fans. Because Roman Wilson is the only player I would give up when you’re talking about trade capital. And he’s probably looking for a fresh start anyway, I would if I were him.
They're not even giving wilson a chance.
meyers sounds good for #88 and a 5th
olave will have a concussion, risky, forget it
DK takes care of that maturity in the locker room.
I don't want you people put these rumors out like this you shouldn't report anything unless you hear it's going to be done
What about Jaylen Waddle is he not open for trades?
Muth is fine we just don’t use him right he don’t get used because we keep him in blocking
Were did you get your hat
key word rumors?
I really hope they trade for someone we need a wr2
WR #2 no offense to CA
This channel blows. He has 0 insight. 0 credentials.
Stay of the weeeeed!!! Pat neither Roman is worth giving up for Jakobi…a pick and thats it..
This is your 435th trade rumor you posted and haven't gotten one right this year
Ironically when they traded for Metcalf, not too many knew it was coming. If they do get a WR, it will likely not be Meyers or Olave. Steelers worried about the 2026 draft capital.
We need a speedster end.
why not trade for Jacobi rn?
Why would we get Mitchel when we literally had someone that had behavior issues that’s a way better receiver(GP)
Horrible trade discussion.
Be makin shit up
Roman Wilson has confidence issues. He is a good athlete with a shaky mindset. Aaron has tried to talk him into being a little more loose but apparently he isn't coming around. That's why he doesn't get targeted much. Can't wait until he's gone and gets a fresh start somewhere else..
Ima miss Muth if he goes
He feels like family
#GoSteelersGo
Edit: #Muuuuutttthhhh
Add another big body receiver Calvin is always hurt and hard to find 😮Roman
Trade Wilson and Miller away to anywone. You can offer Freiermuth – he is a great guy but doesn't fit the scheme right now.
Trade for a proper WR2/3 like Meyers, Olave, Shaheed, Ridley.. Olave should be a conditional though as well as less guaranteed money.
Anyway get Lazard for a 7th now as a WR2-WR4 Backup next to Wilson depending on the used playcall. He is cheap, decent, tall, can block and has connection with Rodgers. Perfect vor depth…
I doubt DJ Moore or AJ Brown would be available.
Jakobi Meyers might make the most sense. Especially in Arthur Smith's Offensive Schemes.
I highly doubt they'd sell anybody especially a WR but what about somebody like Hyatt from NY? He'd be in the same category as a AD Mitchell imo hes buried on the depth chart, was extremely good at Tennessee & could use the structure of Pittsburghs origination to unlock how good of a NFL receiver he could be
What about picking up meyers and then picking Dart and signing Roger’s for 3 years to train under Roger’s?
Listen when it came to Brandon aiyuk I think we all thought he was coming with the way it looked all the way up until the last week of that trade rumor so I don’t really hold it against him too much
"Rumors", from "top insiders." What is this? Girl talk? They/you, don't know anything more than anyone else.
Don’t need another wide receiver project or someone who has off the field issues. Olave’s price tag and injury risk is too high. Meyers makes the most sense. fills the need and has shown he can be a professional in this league.
The way Steelers fans have turned on Muth needs to be studied!
