Interesting list on where Trevor ranks in the league

  1. Yeah my concern for TLaw for years now has been that he’s aggressively mediocre at best. Good enough for a new contract, but not good enough to produce anything that makes him a great QB. I’m still indifferent on him for now, but if he can’t perform in Coen’s offense this year then it may be time to think about drafting a replacement.

  2. He was top 10 on this list earlier in the year when he was playing pretty ass but has played remarkably better the past few weeks and is lower? Makes no sense.

  3. Yeah no real complaints. Last couple of weeks he’s been producing a bit better with 6 TDs and only 1 turnover, but every guy above him on that list could probably do the same

  4. EPA is measured differently by different outlets. It’s not in a place where I feel it’s very useful for something like this.

  5. Middle of the road or average Quarterback that’s being paid like top three at the position.

  6. Preface this by saying I really don’t have an issue with the list. Trevor is currently somewhere in the 12-18 range of QBs depending on the week. I think he’s low at 18 after his best week, but nothing I would lose sleep over.

However, I would point out these types of lists are pretty meaningless all things considered. No one seriously thinks Maye is better than Mayfield, that Rattler is the 9th best, or that Jackson who hasn’t played since 9/28 should be in the top 10. That’s not even mentioning that Stroud has looked the same or worse than Lawrence, but he just feasted on the two of the worst defenses in the league so he’s 6 spots higher.

Edit: they also don’t adjust for penalties in this data set and penalties have been killing the jags offense more than anything else.
