Some people just don’t know about Barry.
I think non Giants fans view his relationship with media during his career and refuse to acknowledge his talent. Also even though he never tested positive for roids, he became the poster child while guys who tested positive made it to the Hall. Also the commissioner who turned a blind eye to it all is in the Hall. A Hall without Barry is incomplete and I’ve been back to Cooperstown several times before Bonds retired
Hitting GOAT! Best I will probably ever see in my lifetime. I watch top pro hitters and none even come close. If it was thrown in the strike box, bye bye baby!
PS, I’ve heard from people who have run into him after retirement that he’s super nice now!
Hated Barry back in the day.
I still haven’t seen a better hitter, ever, and it isn’t even close.
The best way I can describe Barry Bonds is imagine if Mike Trout was hitting 350 and 70 bombs a year at 34, instead of fighting the injury bug… that is the career Barry had.
Beat hitter he’s ever seen? We all know who the video is about before we open it.
I always love hearing this stories about Barry. I remember a story Eric Byrnes told about a time he met Bonds at practice during college. And he told him something about his head position that changed everything. It’s always so clear just how insanely he understood the art and science of hitting.
so I checked to find the game and Bonds only has one HR vs Boston and it was at Fenway not Oracle. and it was off of Tim Wakefield not Embree
unless this was an exhibition game he’s talking about
When your peers speak so highly of you, it don’t matter what the hall of fame or any tiktok, instagram, twitter comment section has to say about you. GOAT
Edit: grammar
Fucking A right.
Reason #692 why the HOF is stupid. Ortiz is in and he’s speaking about the best hitter he’s (really, any of us) has ever seen who is not in the HOF. It’s a joke.
HOF’er.
Barry put on a show nearly every time he stepped into that batter’s box. I’m so glad I got to witness all of his milestone moments, most of them in person at the game. He is the best hitter of all time.
