It looks like we’re having a little bit of technical difficulties. We’re going to work on that. Some people are saying they’re not getting the video. Well, the video is here to get got, so we’re going to make sure you get it. Um, we’re going to start, we’re going to kick things off, Bo, by discussing what we thought would have come about a month ago, and that’s the return of Walter Nolan. We, you know, I’m not going to sit here and say we tipped people off of this because, you know, we thought he was coming back in August. We we shot our shot, shoot our shot, whatever you want to call it, back in August when we thought there’d be no chance he was put on pup. That’s what we were told. He ended up on pup for a lot longer, I think, than anybody could have deciphered. And now, thankfully, October 15th, head of the Packer game, Walter Nolan is officially back on the practice field. He has not practiced since offseason team activities, rookie camp. He missed all training camp. So, while this is a small step, it’s a significant step nonetheless. Yeah. and our understanding so far as far as the technical difficulties. I believe it’s a a YouTube issue. I don’t know if it’s it has anything to do what’s going on on our end, but uh please bear with us. Um and hopefully you’ll be able to catch this show in its entirety. Um maybe a little bit later, but stick with us and and we’ll we’ll keep you a breast of what’s going on. Sounds like refresh your browser if you’re having a tough time with the video. All right. All right. I like that. Look at that. That’s uh that’s some really profound cutting edge uh technical help part of the geek squarable. No doubt about it. Yeah, Jacob’s saying, “Yep, just hit the old refresh. Should get you back on track.” We appreciate that. Uh from IT guy Johnny, not only does he know a lot about this uh that’s my new career as the Cardinals plummet into non-existent relevancy. I’m joining the Geek Squad nerd. Uh, look, not so fast as far as the Walter Nolan. Sure, he’s a 21-day window has indeed opened. It’s official, right? But the Cardinals, as we broke on this show yesterday, they were going to hold a closed walkthrough. So, it wasn’t even like real practice. So, Walter got out there, but uh it was like kind of slow down, young fella. We’re we’re holding a walkthrough. And uh he did show up on the injury report as did other injured Cardinals. and we talked to Jonathan Ganon and he was uh pretty tight lipped JG today outside of maybe the end of his presser which was wild uh to say the least and we’ll get into that in just a bit but um yeah Walter Nolan look this is uh this is absolutely a sight for Sar this is this is great uh news for the Cardinal 16th overall pick that he is on the uh path to return it is significant beyond just what’s going on with the Cardinals this season and and that’s where you got to look at a lot of this stuff. Bo is like the Cardinals need Marv to produce now and in the future because he’s the fourth overall pick. Darius Robinson first rounder. Michael Wilson it’s just in his third season. Like we’re we’re seeing that the 2025 Arizona Cardinals, you know, potential at stake, but we’re also looking at players that are going to play a big part of this team’s future regardless. And I I’m so disappointed that for Walter with Walter um that he missed this much time, but now it’s like well at least hopefully it’s not going to have a Darius Robinson scenario which like comes back reagravates it and I’m sure that was their thinking and really they could have used him against I think Seattle and then especially this weekend against Indianapolis but like they we all know this like their defense has not been the problem this year out really outside of the the Colts game. So, this is a long-term play, but I’m not going to like sugar coat it like they need him. They need him to come out and and show something because we’re Dvin Tomlinson and Kus Campbell are I think overused right now. You were supposed to be able to kind of mix and match and you’re overly reliant on a couple guys over 30. Kas is almost 40 years old. Now, Tomlinson was kind of MIA against the Colts as they mauled the Cardinals up front. So, between he and and Darius returning to practice, which we also telegraphed, that is good news. And here’s another thing I’ll point out, Bo, is like Garrett Williams was not brought off injured reserve. You and I have talked about this. Garrett Williams like the amount of time he needs to practice is not comparable to like Walter Nolan, right? Walter Nolan needs three weeks to practice. Whereas like they could activate Garrett Williams like George KD just got activated by the 49ers and then like George KD’s going to play this weekend. Right. When they activate G Williams, like I expect him to play like ASAP, right? It was the same thing with Bal Nichols, right? Bal Nichols was his practice window opened and then couple days later on Saturday he was activated and then he was in the lineup on Sunday and that’s because Bal Nichols is an established veteran in this league. Say whatever you want about his impact, but this is a guy that’s played significant amount of snaps in his career and didn’t need as long a time to get ready. Uh that is not the case with Walter Nolan the third. Walter Nolan is the last significant snaps he played in the game was back what in December for Miss. Uh did he play in their bowl game? I’m not even sure. And then you know a couple like practices at the senior bowl. This guy just hasn’t played a lot of football in the last you know six to eight months. So the Arizona Cardinals they have to be very smart about how they’re going to deploy him. Uh but this is this is step one in the right direction. Like somebody texted me, he’s like, “There’s no chance he’s going to be in the lineup, right?” And I’m like, “Exactly. He’s not going to be in the lineup. He’s going to be uh more than likely like best case ready to go come Monday Night Football against the Cowboys.” And and even then, that might be too too much of a stretch. But when you hear like when I asked Ganon today about Garrett Williams and he said he they’re not opening his window yet, like but they could open it the week of Cowboys game, Monday Night Football, and he could be active for that game. I don’t see that as very being very fair far far-fetched actually. I see that being um very likely. Yeah, I had heard we’d heard Garrett and uh Walter after the buy uh and then of course Darius Robinson back this week pending you know anything unforeseen. So I think right now like you’re optimistic on how this defense is going to look the back half of the season like Will Johnson’s only getting better. people are getting comfortable in their roles, but you you just you can’t overcome and we’ve been talking about this for the better part, Bo, of like two years with JG. It’s like you can’t overcome like subpar defensive tackle play or like middling depth at that position. Like they’re they’re counting on Balo Nichols. He was gone on Sunday. It’s like you’re back to bringing up practice squad guys like that. We saw that song and dance last couple of years. and why like why you couple your frustration with the offense with the fact that you blew it early in the year when the defense was playing lights out and that unit was on fire, right? So, um this is a good sign. I I think he I think he does play against the Cowboys on Monday Night Football. I think he practices this week and then all of next week I think he works out and then then against the Dallas Cowboys I think he gets a full weekend and I would imagine he’s close already. Uh like people who have who are close to the situation. I got some videos sent to me over the weekend when he and his teammates were in uh Indianapolis. He’s jogging around. He looks good. Like this is not somebody who’s laboring. Hell, like we tweeted out video like a couple days after he injured his hamstring and like he barely had it wrapped and he was, you know, walking around during training camp with no limp. So, um I I it really is just going to be like conditioning. Can he get himself in conditioning speed? Because, you know, like when he plays, they’re not going to play him a significant amount of snaps. They’re going to play him like 20 to 30 snaps or percent of the snaps. Maybe it’ll probably go like 10, 20, 30 and build your way up. So yeah, I unfortunately he’s probably gonna be playing his best ball when the season ends and and but you know, you take what you can get at this point. You absolutely do because you’re already getting like here’s I’ll say you’re getting significant contributions from Will Johnson. Like Will Johnson, ace blue chipper should be a Pro Bowler and on the all rookie team. Like that’s a home run pick and like Jordan Burch is playing. So you you’ve got two of your three starters in your top 100 out there and then Denzel Burke, Katon Crawford. So like people are ripping money Austin for you right now. I get it. Really the only outlier for his draft classes last year is one where he had to hit because he had a million effing picks. But this draft class, just give it time. It’ll be it’ll be fine. Well, you want to see like Walter Nolan like can he be a little bit different in the Darius the D-Rob’s sense where can he make an impact when he returns because people got six games of of a very watered down Darius Robinson are still looking for the 26 overall pick to find it uh who returned to practice today but you know can can Walter Nolan get there in this limited capacity as far as snap load and look like the guy that he did at Old Miss that that made him the 16th overall pick. I think that that if he is, if he’s some, you know, semblance of that, that would do wonders for this defensive front that I think is already playing well. But I mean, when you look at the struggles of this Arizona Cardinals team, especially this Arizona Cardinal defense that has had its uh woes in the fourth quarter that we’re going to get in here with Baldi, it’s why isn’t why can’t somebody just make a play? And Walter Nolan gives you the makeup of a player that could go in there and and give and make you that play that that’s that you need to whether it’s early in downs where you’re stuffing a ball carrier or you’re taking down an opposing quarterback for for a negative sack. Like he he has that skill set. Now can can he put it in actions? Like it’s abs it’s insane. It’s not absurd. It’s just the NFL. It’s 100% injury, you know, rate. Um, but like the fact that 39year-old Kausas and 32-year-old Dalvin Tomlinson have been your most reliable um defensive lineman because like you you were hoping that those two vets were going to provide leadership, mentorship, and supplement your defensive line where they’ve had to be the defensive line here through the first six games. Yeah. I mean, there’s no other choice. And for the most part, they’ve done an admirable job. Klayas, you knew Kus like couldn’t keep that up indefinitely and it’s irresponsible to ask him to, frankly. But what are you going to do? You don’t have the two first rounders that you invested so much in. And like here’s what I’ll say about Darius. Like the defensive line was playing well when Darius was in there and I Darius had a sack. Like I I think we just we forget like Darius and Walter are probably like very close to like being at the same spot. Like Darius can’t afford to miss games. He missed so much time last year. It was like complete blur. He’s talked about it. Like Darius just needs, I say this all the time, just needs to play. We are so quick to ride off guys, especially like line of scrimmage players. It’s like they have to play and refine and get better. DJ Humphre was unplayable as a first round pick. Drafted right around where Darius Ro, he could not play right. And even when he got into the lineup the next couple of years, he was a below average player. It wasn’t until Cliff Kingsbury and you know Steve Kim extended him that he he you know found his footing. He was a very young player. You know I I look around the NFL this stuff happens all the time. Look at I know talking about offensive line. I think it’s the really a lot of the similarities are there. Darnell Wright has been an atrocious player for the Bears. He played his best game. People are embracing him now in Chicago. It’s like you get rid of Darius Robinson or Marvin Harrison Jr. these guys who have haven’t played 20 games in the NFL and you’re I can’t play. Get out of here because they’re not Hall of Famers. They’re not JJ Watt game one. It’s just first of all, it’s an indictment of your coaching. Oh, I can only coach guys that are like this. And I’m not saying Ganon and company act like that, but man, we need we need some patience with these guys. Like for me, it’s it’s enough that like Darius was playing and the unit was playing well, right? more of that. Same thing when Walter Nolan gets out there. Like Will Johnson is playing is about as good as you can play. Like he doesn’t have a bunch of goaudy stats. Like his pass breakups, yes, but zero interceptions thus far. So we we want instant gratification. I get it. And it’s it’s harder with the offensive guys because of fantasy football. But Darius and Walter, if this regime stays put, like one of the things I have full confidence in that those guys under Rollis and JG will produce whether whether it’s now or in the future, right? And I think that the the in the trenches like to your point, it is tough like you do have to be patient because that’s the most physical physically demanding place for uh in the NFL is as far as going head-to-head each and every play. And sometimes the impact uh can’t always be seen. Like not always are you going to get Jaylen Carter performance right out of the gates, right? More often than not, it takes a little bit more maturation because the guys are so physical and so big and so strong. I mean, you got 21 year olds going in there against 30 year old guys that have been in the league for a long time. So, uh, but you do want to get a fl you want to get a couple flashes. Like Darius Robinson, like his last play before he hurt his pec, uh, was a sack. It was probably his best play on an NFL field. Like, so can he build off of that? And like the the good thing about both D-Rob who’s coming back and Walter Nolan who’s on the way back a step in you know a step in the right direction is that these guys aren’t going to be like last year with Darius Robinson you know in a testament or kind of a homage to our thumbnail like our only hope right like it’s they they can go in there and like they can play along Calvin Tomlinson they can play along Dant Dante Stills and Kas Campbell and they can be a part of that rotation and just the expectation like, hey, go in there on this play and win your one-on-one, right? I this defense with what we’ve seen from this offense and and we’re going to talk about it like this defense has to be the catalyst for this team getting back into it. I that’s my mindset because the offense whether it’s K1 or Jacobe Brassette, I don’t really know what I’m getting. I’m not getting the Cardinals offense bowl of 2024. So for me, it’s like, okay, well, what’s the more productive unit? What’s the unit that I feel like is better coached and what’s the unit that has reinforcements? It’s the offense like or the defense, excuse me. Like the offense is getting back Trey Benson in a couple weeks. Like that’s it, you know, and obviously Kyler Murray’s bound to come back, but the depth that they’re going to have defensively. Garrett Williams, Walter Nolan, Darius Robinson, young players refining themselves. Katon Crawford looks better every week, as does Will Johnson and Denzel Burke. You know, Jordan Burch will continue to play. I think Josh Schwitz’s got another run of sacks in him. Like, if they’re going to compete, I tweeted this out. Um, and I I meant to bring it up on on yesterday’s show. Yeah. The Cardinals through six games have six takeaways. Last season through 17 games, they had 17 takeaways. So, they’re on pace for last year, which is what, Bo, it’s a problem because we talked about it with Baldi before the season. Like, whomever wins this division, you’re going to have to force like 25 to 30 takeaways. And we talked about like the Vikings last year. Opportunistic. I mean, like look at Sunday’s game. Buddha Baker drops an interception. Can’t happen. Cardinals can’t fall on fumbles half the time. You you have to be more disruptive. And I think we’re going to ask Baldi about it. Like does Nick Rollins need to change the way he calls his defense? Because right now it’s like it’s either death by I know the Cardinals don’t give up a lot of big plays but man it’s like death by a thousand cuts and this defense is starting to waver especially in the fourth quarter. They they need to switch it up because right now the Cardinals are not taking the ball away enough to constitute the kind of defense they’re playing right and you got to put you got to give your defense a chance. Like there was far too often and I think Rolls or JG even said this much throughout ear you know this week was you know a couple of those drives you didn’t see a whole lot of third downs like there just wasn’t there wasn’t successful defensive series that you you were expecting from the uh influx of talent on that side of the football. What’s the offense look like? What’s the latest on Kyler Murray and Marvin Harrison Jr.? We’re going to get to that coming up next right here on PHNX Cardinals plus Baldi. Seen this JJ Watt going after PFF. That was pretty wild McAfee. I did. I love JJ Watt and I love PFF. So, it’s not I don’t really have a strong opinion either way. Always maintain like you got to take with a grain of salt. It’s just it’s another it’s a piece to the puzzle and you have to, you know, it’s not, you know, an exact science. It’s not the football gospel. It’s like you have to figure it out and it like well his big like problem was how it would rank each player at their respective position. And I don’t like necessarily agree with that. I think it gives you a little context to how a player is doing and how he like he matches up with the the other players at his spot. Like if if you look at a at um Isaiah Adams PFF grade and it gives you the penalties and it gives you the sacks allowed and it gives you his run blocking grade, his pass blocking grade. Like it’s not the entire picture, but it gives you a pretty good idea of how he’s doing this season. I’ll tell you what I I’ve always liked about PFF, and you’re right, it’s an inexact science. It’s not perfect. It’s kind of like like MLB officiating, frankly, or umpiring. I like that it gives there I think there are very few like biases involved whereas like you look around we’ve got individuals like Hall of Fame candidacies being weighted and measured by Pro Bowls which is a like a flawed system and really is overwhelmed by bigger markets and I I the notoriety of certain players grows depending on the team and the noise around the team and it’s not always conduc Like I I talk about like Adrien Wilson in his prime compared to like Troy Paulal who like never got his flowers right. Like there there always instances like that and I think PFF does a good job like cutting through that. Do I think they’re perfect? Absolutely not. But like I like the the unbiased nature compared to the marketplace. Like they’re not afraid to say hey you know you know exquarterback wasn’t very good this Sunday even though it may be Patrick Mahomes or whatever. So, but I can I can understand Watt’s point as well. I I just thought it was interesting because, you know, for me it’s like I go to those grades and I I want them to reinforce what I saw with my eyes. Like Keem Davis Gaither on Sunday was the Cardinals worst graded player. Well, yeah, we watched it. He was right. Yeah. What it’s what it’s where they lose me sometimes. It’s like, oh, so and so played really well. And then I go to the grades and it’s like, you know, bottom tier and I’m like, what what’s going on here? Like I know Will Hernandez has struggled a little bit, but like it the offensive line is clearly playing better with Miho in the lineup and his grade would tell you like this guy’s a liability. Holy hell. I always thought it was poor taste when you would yell uh poor PFF grades at players as they walk by. Who does that? Do people do that? You do that, don’t you? Uh no, come on. I’m not trying to get my ass beat. Uh I’d have fun with some people. Uh but I’m not trying to do that. Well, Will Hernandez has been a PFF darling for a long time. So, um, why don’t we go to another break? We’ll get to Brian Baldinger. He is gonna tell us definitively who he thinks should be starting for the Arizona Cardinals. Then we’ll come back. Bo and I will talk about Kyler Murray. Is he or will he play this weekend against the Packers pivotal game Baldi right around the corner. It’s PHNX Cardinals. But first, I’ll tell you what’s pivotal. And Baldi, it’s been a minute since we’ve chatted with you. And since then, the Cardinal season is potentially going down the toilet. They have lost four consecutive games, albeit by combined nine points. But just off the top here, like what are you seeing from the Cardinals? What are they doing? But specifically, what are they not doing? Well, I mean, it came down to, you know, the Colts took the ball down 66 yards and they scored and the Cardinals went down there, uh, you know, down to the nine yard line and they couldn’t, uh, they couldn’t make a play from the nine yard line to to go win the game. They got the ball last. They got a chance. Um, they had a good drive going. They made a lot of good plays on it. Big catch by Michael Wilson down the sideline. Got him, you know, inside the 10. They couldn’t finish the drive. That’s what it came down. It seemed like, you know, whether you lose to San Francisco or pick a team in this four-game losing streak, they can’t make a play at the end to win the game. And, you know, that’s the difference. This league, it’s it’s a one-sore league. It’s a fourth quarter league. Can you make the play regardless of what happens during the game? Can you make the play when you have to to win the game? The Colts did and Arizona didn’t last week. You know, we were waiting for this type of offensive performance. We weren’t expecting it was going to be engineered by Jacobe Brassette. Yeah. Do we have a quarterback controversy in your eyes here in the desert? Yeah, he he he played better, I thought, than Kyler has. And they they led him to 400 yards of offense. Uh he ran the offense really well. You got a 14 running back and Michael Carter made some plays for him, but I thought the offense moved. I thought, you know, outside of one or two, three and outs, you know, they moved the ball on on every single drive and they had a chance. Um I thought he played really well. scrambled when he had to to make a couple plays, but I thought he I thought the offense looked better than it has looked. And that’s a that’s a really good football team right there that has played really could be undefeated if they didn’t have a boneheaded play by their wide receiver. When you think about like how this could change the landscape of not only this season, but you know, the impending offseason for the Cardinals and, you know, could Kyler Murray be playing his his final stretch of games for this franchise? Baldi, I’ll double down with you. I I just the Cardinals had not had a prolific passing attack like that. And maybe, you know, we should reconsider our stance on Drew Petting and some of the criticism. Certainly I am. If if Jacobe Brassette can come out and and couple this performance with a couple more like this. I look I mean I look they’re going through it in San Francisco. He play the hot hand. You know the guy is playing good. I don’t care how much you’re paying the other guy. I mean it’s just a based on production and Jacobe ran that offense the way it can look. play action passes, pushed the ball down the field, found the open receiver, the ball came out on time, they wasn’t getting hit a lot. Like I I just thought it looked better, you know? I mean, I could go back and, you know, and uh, you know, break down play by play and go, this is what’s better than what Kyler, but I thought it looked a whole lot better. And I think everybody that watched said that looks like a good offense right there. And, you know, that’s without your first three running backs and, you know, maybe an offensive lineman. I mean, whatever. But it regardless, I don’t know. I thought I thought they gave themselves a chance all the way to the very end, you know, and if you score um you know, honestly, Trey McBride got tackled in the end zone. I’m not making excuses, but he gets tackled there. Like a lot of times it gets called you got first goal to one and if you do, you know, you’re scoring the 30s and that’s what you want to be able to do in this business, especially if you’re on the road. You know, we’ll get to the defense in their fourth quarter wos here in a segment. I want to stick with the Jacobe Buret conversation because of a lot of things that you said and a lot of things that have been discussed after this performance, but there was this downfield passing attack that did not exist before this. I think it was like seven combined the first five weeks big play passing plays from Kyler Murray and they got seven on Sunday alone from Jacobe Brassette. How did Jacobe unlock that? How did he and Drew and Drew Petting achieve that goal on Sunday? Well, I mean, they did a lot of play action, you know, with Jacobe under center and just, you know, getting some deep sets where the you have time to get the ball down the field and you’re holding the linebackers with their your play action and uh there’s just a moment where they’re freezing and allows your receivers to get down the field and run various route combinations where you can push the ball down the field. That’s what the good offenses in this league are doing right now. You can’t just drop seven steps like Kurt Warner did back in the day, you know, and throw it to Anquan and Larry. So, um, you know, you got to you got to be able to take the your sevenstep drops, play action, max protect, and run your speedo routes and your route combinations down there to get your chunks, and you need chunks to score. And I thought they did that. Like I said, like that’s the way it’s supposed to look. Cardinals have limited their play action with Kyler Murray for whatever reason out of the shot or out of the eye formation. They’ve done it a little bit out of the shotgun, which Jacobe Brassette, as you just mentioned, was their dominant form of play. Is that Can I just draw a conclusion that they can’t do traditional play action with Kyler Murray? They feel not comfortable with it based on maybe his size. What what do you think about the fact that they’ve essentially gone to an offense on Sunday that they haven’t ran for the longevity of Kyler’s tenure with I got I got to apologize guys because when I was watching this I was going does Kyler like when I was watching Jacobe do these play action I’m like Kyler Kyler’s under center right Brian like you you know he’s under center he does he do these play action passes I don’t so I should have gone back and really studied Kyler and how frequently he they dial that up but it seemed like he’s primarily a shotgun coord quarterback where he’s got better vision. Now, I I got to go research it and study it. It’ be it’d be worth my time to do it, but I it felt like and watching every game, it felt like they did it a lot more with Jacobe on Sunday. They they put him under center to run the ball to hand off to the running back, but there there is very minimal and Bo can clean me up here. There is very minimal eye formation traditional play action with Kyler Murray. And I I have to assume that that’s because they feel like there are limitations with him being able to do that compared to Jacobe. I think so too. And I I don’t know why they otherwise why wouldn’t you be running that offense with Kyler? That’s you know I mean that’s what look you could go through the list of all the great offenses in this league right now. That’s what they’re doing. You know that’s what Seattle’s doing. That’s what Tampa’s doing. their quarterbacks are under center and they’re, you know, with straight stretch fake the outside or eye formation, uh, faking the inside dive and and getting set up and maxing things up, you know, with six, seven, eight man protections and taking their shots. Um, you have to do it in this league right now. Otherwise, if you let these guys just tee off and shotgun, um, you know, good luck because they’re they’re just going to overload one side and come after you. And, you know, that’s that’s what’s happening to shotgun offices in this league. Unfortunately, we were robbed of uh getting to see kind of Marvin Harrison Jr. play where his his father starred and got his bust in Canton and was enshrined there pro football of fame. Two catches then he suffered the concussion. But before that there was the time the second half in Seattle. There was the first half against Tennessee and then he’s not doesn’t see a target in the second half of that game that debacle and then you have a decent start here. What have you seen from Marvin Harrison Jr.? Has there been progress in his game in your opinion? I’d just like to see, you know, I’m going to I’m going to be in Minnesota on Sunday. I’m going to see Justin Jefferson. I’ve seen, you know, the Jamar. I’ve seen uh Nakua. I mean, I’ve seen the great receivers in this league. It just seems like they play the game with just a lot more energy and urgency than Marvin. Now, there’s different styles in this business. Not everybody has to be, you know, like uh a great route runner, and Marvin’s not a great route runner. Uh he’s got size. Um, but it ju there just doesn’t seem to be the urgency that I see. For example, if Kyler is getting out of the pocket, Jacob’s out of the pocket, the great receivers, Stfan Diggs, Jamar Chase, they are doing everything they can to get into that vision to get the they want the ball. Guys scrambling, uh, a scramble, drill, whatever. They’re going wherever they got to go to get the ball. Like, I just don’t see that urgency from Marvin. Now, not everybody does it, you know? I mean, the Eagle receivers don’t look like they’re great at it right now. uh and they’re struggling, but the great receivers in his game, I go back to Terrell Owens and different guys like that quarterback’s in trouble. I’m getting the ball. You saw it from Ston Diggs all year right now. Like they are hungry for the football. They’re going to get every one of those loose plays where the quarterback’s got to get loose. Like that’s what Travis Kelce has done his whole career with Patrick Mahomes. And that’s just something I think that you get a lot of catches. You know, when things break down, when the X’s and O’s aren’t working, you got to come back and go help your quarterback out. And I’d like to see that from Mark Baldi. Flip to the defensive side of the ball. Fourth quarter wo was have been a little bit of a bugaboo for this team. Uh and again I I was willing to give them grace because the offense just was so underperforming. Um each of the you know during the four game looney streak or even before that but against Indianapolis specifically like they they had a really difficult time. Yeah. Can we like I I know Nick Rollins can coach. I know Jonathan Ganon can coach defense. Do we chalk this up to they need Darius Robinson, they need Walter Nolan, they need these players that aren’t available or is it more of a schematics thing where maybe they have to change up some of the formations? Uh, a little bit of a mix right there. Um, Indianapolis has a really productive offense. They got the leading rusher in the league. Like he’s tough to contain. Uh, they got a good offensive line, but you know, so what? Uh, you know, Josh D killed him. You know, uh, Kyler Warren killed him. Um, they got beat by a lot of different guys by by scheme and their play action passes and what they do offensively and how they attack. Um, I would have thought honestly that, you know, since Jonathan and Chain had, you know, coached with each other that they’d have a better feel for what the Colts would do, right? And I didn’t really get that, you know, uh, Colts, you know, to take that drive 66 yards right down the field and score like that looked way too easy to me. Yeah, they seem they got Michael Pitman Jr. out of the game. But you to your what you mentioned, I mean, Stiken was getting linebackers on Josh DS and Ty Warren. You’re going to lose that seems like seemingly every time down the field, but it’s about matchups and Tyler Warren, he heard him for sure. Josh DS is a good slot receiver. We know what his role is. Uh but, you know, they also protected Daniel Jones where I know, you know, Clay has got a hit at the end, but uh you know, they they still completed the pass down the field. Um Pierce hadn’t done much. you know, he’d been out for a little bit. So, um, you know, they was just sort of the next guy up for him. But I just thought, um, I I just thought the Colts kind of, you know, he put up 31 points in this business the way they did, that’s not a good day for any defense. Baldi, I want to take kind of a 5,000 foot view of this team and this coaching staff specifically. We we talked about it at Nauseium now. Four straight losses, the NFC West, probably the best division in the NFL or tied for first. and you’re in a division with, you know, multiple, I think, Hall of Fame level head coaches and now you’ve got a situation for for Jonathan Ganon to navigate where quarterback controversy is. Is Kyla Murray the guy long term? Is Jonathan Ganon bound to be here, you know, beyond this year? What What’s your breakdown, the overall assessment where this franchise sits right now? Well, they dubbed themselves an early crypt. You know, you lose four in a row, the sky is falling. I don’t care what city you’re in. Uh, the sky’s is falling. I mean, it’s been over a month since a win. They don’t know what that feels like. That feeling of winning dissipates real quickly. And so, you you’re hearing all this chatter out there about the coaches, about the player, the whole thing. Quarterbacks that happens when you lose. And so, it’s uh it’s life is tough. Life is tough right now. I mean, you can’t really think about the future because they’ve got to stop the bleeding right now. And and you might have to take some crazy chances right now. You might have to be more aggressive than you want to be. uh on both sides of the ball. Like you’ve got to stop this. And we see ups, it doesn’t matter who you play. We see upsets every week. We see teams that we think should win. Um you know, they can’t figure it out. Comes down to a play or not a play. You know, at the end of the game, you saw that on Monday night with Atlanta in Washington. Came down to a play. Just being able to take a hand off and hand it off and they didn’t get it. The other team wins. It’s it’s one play. And they’re they’re you can say they’re a play short. I could draw up a play in each of these four losses that could have turned it around, but they’re not making it. And so, uh, you could say that we’re close. We’re close, and I’m sure that’s their mindset, but that’s not that’s not how this business works. This business is strictly winning and losing. And they’ve got to figure out a way right now uh in the worst way to win a game and just stop it because if it’s it this thing could spiral down real fast in this business. Yeah. I mean, last question. I mean, the incoming Green Bay Packers at 3-1 and one, one of the uh teams that we’ve deemed one of the top in the conference. How can they possibly get right against Jordan Love, Josh Jacobson crew? Well, I mean, Green Bay has had their problems, too. You know, they they lost, you know, they tied Dallas and gave up 40, I think, in doing it. So, they’ve had some issues. Their defense doesn’t look as good as it did a year ago. Even with Micah Parsons, it doesn’t look as good. Uh teams have moved the ball against them. They’re a well coached football team, but um you know, they’re not exactly getting the ball to their star wide receiver, you know, in the way they thought they would. You know, Matthew Golden has not been lighting it up and he was drafted, you know, high in the first round to go be that guy and he hasn’t exactly been that. Uh I would, you know, think that you make life really difficult for Jordan Love, you know, um that’d be a that’d be a start because he will throw it up. You you he could throw you one or two in the game. The way he plays, he plays aggressively. He’s got a great arm, but uh I would say that, you know, hitting Jordan Love early in this game would be go a long ways to winning this game. Baldi, where you headed this weekend, my guy? Uh I am headed to Minnesota to see the Eagles and the Vikings play. So, we’ll see if uh the Eagles can get out of their slump that they’re in. Uh it doesn’t look good, but the Vikings haven’t exactly lit it up either. We’ll see who plays quarterback for the Vikings this week. It’s going to be fascinating. We’re all going to be watching. We’re going to be listening and also seeing the Baldi breakdowns what you can find on your social channels. Baldi, always great to catch up with you and talk to you soon. Thanks, guys. I appreciate it. Talk to you. Great stuff from Brian Baldinger. We see all you guys there. Uh, continuing to power through the technical difficulties. I saw YouTube down trending on Twitter, so hopefully you found a way to stream us here. Or if you’re watching in the future, hey, how are you? uh latest on Kyler Murray, Marvin Harrison Jr., and uh revisiting what Baldi just talked about coming up next. PHX Cardinals. Um so the news broke yesterday while we were live that the Cardinals going to have a private practice today. Private Boys and Girls in Tempee. And was it really a practice? well, wasn’t made available to the media. Bo, after you heard from Jonathan Ganon, which was a banger of a press conference, by the way, you were sent packing. The Cardinals had a private practice today. Break down what you think that means as we look at the injury report. Yeah, we were just actually limited to the press room. We were just in there while they were out having fun on the grass, uh, getting ready for Green Bay. Um, and yeah, let’s take a look at the injury report for what was an estimation since it was a closed walkth through. And you’ll see that Kyler Murray was out there or limited in the walkth through. Take that with a grain of salt. Walter Nolan was limited from the calf. Uh Darius Robinson returned. Then you got uh this is a long list. You got which is interesting. Michael Wilson’s on here with a foot. You would have thought it was his pinky that he injured, but he’s on there with a foot, so he’s banged up. Rabbit Taylor Demerson on there with an ankle, who we saw have to leave the game for a little bit. Got a knee with Bam Knight. You got Marv, of course, on the concussion, but it’s good that, you know, he at least was estimated to be limited as far as this practice goes. So, I expect him to continue to work his way through protocol. I think it’s a real good sign that that Marv is is predicted is limited here. And then you’ve got uh you know, Z Jones on there with a knee, Katon Crawford with an ankle, Keem Davis Gaither with a foot, Kelvin Beichum just getting his rest day. But a long drawn out list here, Johnny. and then Bal Nichols would have been back from his personal issue that had him miss the game on Sunday. I think the most significant bite came from JG Bo pertaining to Kyler Murray and his status uh as the Cardinals kind of keep this under wraps. But let’s roll the footage. You be the judge. Make sure that he’s healthy enough to play, you know, so we’ll progress him along here this week and see where he’s at. I think it’s I think that means hello he’s back in uh two weeks against the Dallas Cowboys. I don’t see the Cardinals given the fact that Jacobe Brassette was effective very effective and the Cardinals are in a position where they can’t have Kyler Murray get hurt for a number of different reasons. There’s just I think there’s very few benefits to playing Kyler Murray this weekend. I I think the only benefit is is if he’s 100% and he’s clearly motivated and he wants to come out and and you make that decision. But I think like in a weird way, this decision this weekend is easier than last weekend’s decision because like they see Jacobe in practice, but you don’t know how he’s going to respond until he gets into a game. Now it’s just like now you you very much use Jacobe to your benefit here. Yeah. It’s not like running under the guise of injury. It’s still probably a foot that is sore. That is a the type of a injury that would risk potentially putting you out for the rest of the season and you can you can run under that. Sure. Right. And then you’ve you’ve got that option of getting to know more about Jacobe Brousette like can he parlay last week’s performance into another strong performance even though like historically we we’ve seen you know decent drop offs as always with 320 yards passing you usually see a dip. Uh, but can Jacobe put up another strong game for the Cardinals in in his second consecutive week? And it’s just like the Cardinals coming out and saying he needs to be healthy first and foremost is telling us that, you know, that’s that’s something they’re just kind of bracing everybody else for impact. Even though everybody’s taking the ball and running with this quarterback controversy, I don’t think we’ve made it that far just yet. No, I I I I think the conversation really heats up. Jacobe plays well, win or lose, against the Packers. The Cardinals have another robust offensive performance. And then like all the attention goes to Monday Night Football and a stadium which Kyler Murray has dominated. I don’t think Kyler Murray’s ever lost, certainly against the Cowboys in that building. So, um I I that to me is going to be much CTV regardless of where the Cardinals are on their on their schedule. But I I think listen, Baldi said like the Packers defense is not playing particularly well. Sounds like you’re gonna have Marv Knock on Wood back. You’re gonna have an offense another week with Will Hernandez and you now know with Jacobe like what you’re good at. You don’t have to make it up on the fly. It’s like Michael Wilson can be a big play contributor. Trey McBride almost 80 yards in that contest. You get Marv going now. Elijah Higgins like this is the offense. Bam Knight running the football effectively. Jacobe Brassette short yardage looks good. Like I I you just have no no limitation to what you want to do in a in a in a league right now where the Cardinals felt like they were playing a different offensive sport sometimes. Now it’s like oh welcome back to the National Football League. Arizona Cardinals. It’s a good chat. Uh classy nasty Ping hack YouTube using my stolen phone. That was Hey, we I g we’ve been giving Pine some love here this week. Yeah. Where do the where are the Green Back Green Bay Packers good on defense? It’s slowing down the run, right? But giving up the pass, they’re pedestrian to below average and it’s like who gives you the best chance in the passing attack right now as it stands or who’s had the most, you know, best performance this year. Um, you know, I I don’t think it goes without saying or it goes without saying it’s it’s Shakobi Brassette, right? So, um, it’s like people get taken away. Like I saw the Packers, they have some of the best chances to win the conference, be the top seed in the NFC, just projecting uh schedules and they’re 3-1 and one. They’ve got a loss to the Browns. They had that kind of eyesore 4040 tie against the the the Dallas Cowboys. They’re not a team that’s played its best football, but this is a team that you’re just over a year removed from getting your ass kicked also by uh in Green Bay. It does change a little bit here, but this is a team that’s not exactly a a world beater in playing at the highest and optimal level. So, can the Cardinals take advantage of that, play to the strengths against the weaknesses of of Green Bay? And it it could kind of point to run it back from last week just one more time before taking on a very bad defense in Dallas on Monday night. Uh I I remember that game not too fondly from a year ago and the Cardinals were not competitive. It was probably their least competitive game of the year outside of maybe Washington. The offense looked bad. Marvin went out coincidentally with a concussion against the Packers last year. And then the defense I have like nightmares of Blau Nichols trying to run down Jordan Love and and and that was the game really that exposed the Cardinal shortcomings on their defensive line. So you would hope that Sweaty Jay and the boys be able to Yeah. get some pressure. I you know he and Baron Browning were unusually quiet against Indianapolis and and so I mean I think Jordan Love in a lot of ways very similar to Daniel Jones Quinton Nelson had unbelievable game. I mean he was laughing around the Cardinals Dline. Yeah he was. And they had two elevated practice squad players playing on the defensive line like Darius will play this weekend. So will Balo Nicholls you got people who know what’s going on and then they’ll come they’ll come back. five, four guys plus Bal who, you know, you hope at some point he figures it out or can play, you know, NFL caliber defensive line, but like you got four guys that I think, you know, you can you can rely upon. Obviously, the two guys that you you really like in Kus and Dalvin and then Dante Stills is still steady and then like can can Darius build on his last performance where he had a sack? Yeah. Well, I I again like I I the Packers offensively have not looked great outside of that that Cowboys game. I mean they’re they’re consistently being held in the in the 20s and the Cardinals I mean you usually where I say like they play well at home but they play well at home. They just played you know a Bengals team that I think kind of back door a touchdown. Bengals kind of backloaded a bunch of their points in the fourth quarter, but the the Packers it was Joe Flacco and his like coming off being in Cleveland a couple days before. I mean like like Jordan Love’s numbers on the air like they’re good. Nine touchdowns, two picks, you know, 20,200 yards, you know, Josh Jacobs is effective. Not as effective I think as as a year ago. Um under four yards. Jacobs is the key. Like if if you can if you can make them one-dimensional like at times you saw Indie and you can not get blown off the line in the scrimmage and Josh Jacobs look like Jonathan Taylor did or a version of that in backtoback weeks and the run defense can show up like I think you’ve got a a really good chance like to get off the field enough times to give your offense an opportunity. I mean, like Josh Sweat has doubled the sacks of Micah Parsons, but you know, pressures matter. I get that. I’m not naive to that. Um, I want to touch on this before we get to super chats. We got a bunch of them today. Um, and we’re going to probably ramp this up here as the Cardinals continue to lose games, but Mel Kyper Jr., first of all, ESPN, I got to say this, released their top 10 rookies right now in the NFL. No Will Johnson. And Will Johnson wasn’t even named under honorable mention. So, um, we’ll just kind of keep that holstered here. Nice job. And I was going to dog on whoever wrote that garbage, but said multiple contributors. You mean the best corner cover corner in the NFL isn’t top 10 rookies right now. You want to put that offball linebacker from the Browns on there? Congrat. Oh, man. Let me All right, hang on. Let me read this slop to you. This is slopfist right now. here. Ranking the top 10 rookies of 2025. Okay. Abbuka is number one. No issue with that. Abdul Carter has a half a sack. He’s number two. It’s like whatever. Tyler Warren number three. No issue with Tyler Warren. Tedo McMillan number four. Just under 400 yards, two touchdowns. Cam Scataboo number five. That’s where you lose Bo. Now the back. How did you lose me? I don’t I was going to say where’s scat you son of a bee. The Browns Carson Swissinger with a 52 garbage time sacks. Look at that. Get that off the screen. Is number six. Jiad Campbell who is just people just slobber all over him. Cooper Deene style is number seven. Greg Zable a guard eight. Quinn Sean Jud’s been so good. Yeah. Um I didn’t like that pick. Uh Judkins nine. Then Jackson Dart. The Giants have three players in the top 10. Jackson Dart who’s played like two games number 10. Just missed Mebo of the Jets, Josh Simmons, Will Campbell, Genty, uh Krosky Merritt. Then they they literally list everybody else. Kelvin Banks, Jiad Baron, Jade Pin is on here. Unbelievable. That is I didn’t even see that first. I And then Travis Hunter’s on here. Uh Jacob Parish, who plays corner, I think for Tampa, has three passes defense. I don’t even know who that is. What are they doing? Do they not have like an ability to look up stats? That’s awful. This is what I’m talking about where I’m like, I will give PFF grace because they don’t do this kind of garbage. This didn’t mean to come as a whole segment, but I didn’t know there were multiple corners not named Will Johnson and but see then people will see what see this and they’ll be like this is going to influence my rookie of the year vote. It’s just like that’s why with all due respect JJ Watt like PFF’s doing the Lord’s work for a lot of this stuff where like this ESPN has almost become with these rankings like Madden ratings. That’s what ESPN is. You’re right there with Madden ratings popularity. Let’s have Travis, you know, Kelsey at a 99 going into 2025 SPN. Yeah, it’s unfortunate for Cardinals fans. They’re underserved and uh not, you know, properly um kind of reported to, you know, outside the market football consumers. It’s It really is It’s a bummer. It’s a bummer. That’s why we always like throughout the off seasonason we’ll look at these lifts and we’ll just like can’t believe it but there’s there’s nobody going there and pounding the table and saying how are you not looking at Subzero? How are you not looking at Will Johnson when there’s not it’s like not even like deepseated like analytics like it’s it’s pretty you know surface level stats like past breakups that he remains what top five in the league in. Yeah. So I mean his his his numbers right now after how many games he missed? Two. He only missed two games. But like corner is much more than like statistics. That’s where you really need like yards given up. He’s got five passes defended in in how many games? Four games. Yeah. He’s been came in like his first in the first two weeks of the season. He hasn’t given up a touchdown. I don’t think he’s given up more than like 20 yards in a game. I mean, that that is some egregious garbage. Um, oh man, Jay Baron, look at these robust stats. What a so impressive what I’m seeing here from eight total tackles. He’s been targeted nine times, given up four receptions. Big- time player. Big time player. To me, multiple contributors means ESPN. Uh some guy went on chat GPT and said who are the give me a list right now. They went to all their reporters around the country and say hey give me somebody somebody who’s playing good who’s playing well the best cover corner in the NFL not good enough. Yeah. Uh hit that like button. Um we are going to jump into your super chats. Um I guess I’ll mention Mel Kyper Jr. who I still have respect for. Um did his uh Todd Todd Todd Todd Yeah. RP those days. Uh Cardinals he had picking eighth in his mock draft. Yeah. Um which he expects Cardinals to continue to lose, I guess, because he’s Let’s save this for overtime. Um quickly, Mel Kyper has the Jets. Fernando Mendoza. Okay. The boy Sigs at Indiana first overall. Ruben Bane, edge rusher going to the Ravens, too. He thinks the Ravens are going to really plummet. Wow. Browns getting Dante more. Yeah. From Oregon. Um, and then we drop down. Jordan Tyson. Johnny has like no appetite for it. He’s just trying to churn through this. What are you doing? Well, I’m jumping back and forth. I’m reading off I don’t even know what you’re doing. I’m reading out this. Just keep going, man. I’m sorry. I’m really sorry. I’m killing the vibe. Jordan Tyson, Giants receiver, goes seventh overall, is the number one skilled player according to Mel Kyper, which I mean, if you’ve watched Jordan Tyson, he he’s the best receiver in the country in my opinion. Here, Jeremiah Smith, but like Jordan Tyson looks like he looks like Stefan Diggs. I mean, he’s he’s unbelievable. And then right after that, Spencer Fanu, a tackle for Utah, going to the Cardinals, and they he rationalizes it with Jonah Williams kind of being a bomb and and being done after this year. Um, no quarterbacks outside of the ones I named in the top 10. Uh, and then there was the kid from um who’s the other QB that we’ve talked about a good amount on this show? Um, I don’t know. Anyway, there were other quarterbacks that went later. Uh, Ty Simpson, but Devonte Moore. Is that what you’re talking about? He went he went earlier but Mendoza were gone. So no Sam Levit in this mock. So maybe he assumes Oh, and Lenora Cellers went right after the Cardinals at pick nine the Raiders. So that was the one I was thinking of. So I mean it’s great to get a tackle who’s playing quarterback for you. I mean we’re gonna we’re gonna have we’re in a really tumultuous time. We know that’s what the team wants to do, right? they they want to invest in the trenches ideally, but sometimes organizations, franchises get their hands tied, they have to go after that quarterback. So, if they’re going to get a vet, they’re going to have to have got that vet before the draft. So, maybe that would take him out of it. Maybe Kyler has that resurgence. Maybe he finds it. he needs to this team. Like I I think like the big piece that you and I haven’t touched on is or maybe we’ve glossed over it, but like I feel like it’s over for him and I think we’re just kind of, you know, barring something unforeseen, we’re just kind of bailing water here. Like the Cardinals need Kyler Murray to play well just as much as Kyler himself needs to play well. And that was the talking point coming into the season. And now it’s like I don’t know. You see that that pressure from Ganon today where the clip went off about Michael Vic and I I just you can just feel like not the hostility but like everybody’s kind of on edge right now. Yeah. And everybody’s future’s in doubt and nobody’s playing great. No team doesn’t have an identity and I just Kyler Murray coming back and playing well is is the cure all for everything. But we just I just haven’t seen that with with this offensive infrastructure to believe it’s possible. Yeah. I have to put him in a position for success. And it’s like they’re able to find it in one start with Jacobe Brassette. How to set him up for success. How do you set up the guy that you’ve had in that building for three years? You would think you could be able to find it out. Um yeah, man. And in that that moment, Jonathan Ganon was asked uh by our guy from Fox 10, Brad cameraman, uh about when he started to in during his coaching journey having to take emotion out of coaching. And Ganon said in 2007 when our quarterback went to jail and then it was a walk-off moment. He went on to Cardinals, you know, closed walkthrough and everybody’s like, “What? What did JG just say?” And he was the defensive quality coach, uh, control coach for the Atlanta Falcons under Bobby Patrino when Michael Vic was the QB and ended up going to, uh, prison for for the dog fighting ring. All time all time quote by by Jonathan Ganon. Uh, you absolutely love to see it. Uh, I I I saw that quote today, B, and I’m like, we might be back. That might be the thing to get us back. And that’s it. That’s what’s going to galvanize this team, this fan base. I think so. I think we’re back. Yep. I could see them rattling off maybe five or seven in a row after that. Uh, God knows we need it. All right, let’s jump into these super chats. It’s been a weird show with this YouTube glitch. We appreciate everybody hanging with us. Um, great stuff from our guy Baldi. Hayden kicking us off $2. I legit saw Bo pop up on Circle K gas pump today. That’s right. Wow, that’s special. Bo at the gas pump. I’ve seen myself at my local Circle K and it’s kind of weird because I hope you know I’ll be wearing this hat and I’m wearing this hat in the video and the the pump that I was actually filling up on was like glitching and it was playing over and over and I was looking like a weirdo. Uh just watching myself on the gas station TV. Uh Hayden comes back and says, “I also saw CHGO on a Walmart commercial. WTF?” I have seen that Walmart commercial is unbelievable. We’re excited for our friends at CHGO. It’s It’s a great commercial. Bo and I are still waiting for our invite to do a commercial. They’ll never ask us to do a Walmart commercial. No, I I got asked to do it. Oh, yeah. Shut up, Noah. What could we do if we if we’re not big time enough for Walmart? Like a real Circle K commercial I think would slap. I think you and I and Noah getting getting gross, putting my head underneath the slushy machine, sampling all the food, being escorted out. Like I that is that would go incredibly hard. That’s people away though. Yeah, we don’t want to do that. Uh no offputting Circle K stuff because it’s so elite. How about Mike Meyer? $4.99. Bo, start asking good media questions right as the team starts falling apart. Go figure. What did I ask that was so good? Yeah, Bo, I don’t know. What did you ask today? I think I asked about Garrett Williams. What else did I I don’t even I don’t know. Beat this fan base. Why a couple questions yesterday? I don’t know. It’s Sorry, guys. I let you down. We’re here because of me. Bo is committed to the stance and I agree with him that like you can ask whatever you want like they’re only going to give you so much and right we’ve been around Ganon now for a good long while like we like and you and I have a pretty good idea like what we what we feel like we can ask him that’ll get him going right and like that’s when it’s fun of course when a guy’s winning and you can you can unpack stuff like I love JG like at training camp and stuff because it’s like you’re fired up about players when you’re riding a four game losing streak. Like, let’s be real, they don’t want to be there. They don’t want to do those pressers. They want to get back to try to correct them what’s wrong. And there’s you can just feel the hostility right now with everybody in the room. Just there’s there’s no good vibes right now. Who we got here? Desert uh Vulture. Terrifying stats. First six games. Couple football emojis here. 24 2024 and 2025 interceptions. Five, what’s it? Five interceptions, four sacks. a lot of numbers there point is you just saying defense is very similar at the beginning of last year. I would agree with that. I think they’ve given up certainly less points but they they don’t take the football away as this this team at this point last year had their defensive turnaround going into week seven. Is it asking too much to to have to do it again? Like because that stretch like asking your team like they they kept the opposition out of the end zone three straight weeks at home like that ain’t happening but can they play better brand of football? Can they get off the field in the fourth quarter? I don’t think that’s asking way too much. I my opinion is that that worked well because of an offense that could complement that with a run game that just doesn’t exist right now. But Jacobe Brousett’s putting 27 points up then that’ll cure a lot of ailments. uh cure a lot of ailments. Jack’s been a member for one month. Thank you so much, Jack. Appreciate that. Best podcast in Arizona and the UK. Aiming to come to a game next year in hopefully better circumstances. Jack. Yeah. Well, first of all, thank you so much for the kind words. And then hit us up anytime you’re in route to the Valley, my guy. being across the pond. We were talking to Trey McBride today and he’s seems like he’s going to oblige and he’s going to get a beer with the uh the German Cardinals fans who 38 straight days been uh pleading with the Cardinals playmaking tight end to get a beer with them when they come to town in November. Love that. I’m glad that’s going to happen. Trey’s such a such a good like ambassador for the Cardinals. Like they they really they’re going to be leaning on Trey here. Are you are you really jealous? I mean, like, they’ve been doing it just for 38 days. You’ve been doing it for the better part of three years. I don’t need Trey McBride to watch me drink alcohol. That would be bad for everybody involved. I think I like I know my limitations. I would rather like have Trey McBride on our show and like screw around like one of the guys like he has been. Exchange hats like we’ve done before, but I don’t I don’t need Trey McBride to watch me try to chug a beer. That’s not something I That’s not a question. You said that you were going to be forced to chug a beer. We know that. Like I I love it. Glassy, nasty, and bees. Like who wouldn’t want to see Johnny and Trey just get a drink together? Johnny puts all this pressure on himself because embarrassing multiple embarrassing moments where he he failed drink. Listen, if if it was just me and Trey, hell yeah. And a camera crew. But we know you’d be frauding it up. You’d be around. All of our slappies would be there. Shane trying to do content and they’d be like, “Tell show them the show them the pictures. Show show him Johnny trying to chug it and then Trey would be like I need to step away. It would be overwhelming for Trey. I don’t want to put him in that spot. No, it wouldn’t be wholesome like you’re describing it. Like the guys from Germany that yours yours it would be a bit like Mocha Gate trying to out me and I don’t appreciate that. Now hold on. The Mocha Gate was not a bit. That was a full-blown No, that was that was me trying to get a little controversy. Like Johnny alone $4.99. Find out who your friends are. Gotta stick with K1 next year. New OC is a must. Look at the QB free agent next year. It’s trash. College QBs are huge gamble. Beating bum teams. It’s hard to judge. I mean, I there’s a segment of the fan base that feels like you phones. There’s this segment of the fan base that never wants to see Kyler Murray play for this team again. There’s a segment that wants Pine and Kyler gone and Ganon. I thought we were gonna have a season of unity and the fan base has been segmented out in droves. And I think that that is probably one of the biggest indictments of how this year has gone. Yeah. Um, who was it saying in the chat? Jonathan, it would be like when you called your buddy Puka over, man. one of the more embarrassing secondhand embarrassment I’ve ever experienced in my entire life. Sitting next to Johnny as he’s waving over Puka who the NFL’s leading receiver and Johnny’s just like the aggressive. It was much it was really like I did it and it was like a cool way to do it. I’m not going to do it for everybody right now. It was one of these was like doing one of those. It wasn’t like hey buddy. Hey, come over. First of all, he was by himself. He was all alone. He was on his on his phone. I was going to come over and tell him how much we respect his game and you know how we host Little Fanboy Pod. But I was I was also We had done so much content. I was in content mode. I was I couldn’t turn it off. So, excuse me. Some of us work. Luis Perez 199. You’re fraud. 2007 when our QB went to jail. JG hit that like. It was It was a wild moment. Hey, when was the f what was you know, you’ve faced roster adversity. When do you take the emotion out of it for the first time? Oh, you know, when our quarterback went to prison. Think about this. Ganon was on that staff. He was also on the staff in Indie when Andrew Luck retired like right before season. Yeah. So, you talk about it. He’s seen it. He’s seen it. remember cuz he saido just leave after that season was he like one and done in Atlanta and like ah was it was season wasn’t after the season like during the season I thought oh it was yeah or was that Sabin I think that was Sab no I think you’re right I think it might have been Patrino those those guys are scumbags had had a couple moments yeah Sabin stayed bailed because I remember they were interviewing like Joey Harrington. Yeah. And then Ganon is just like on the staff. Maybe we can get Bobby Patrino to come here and call plays. That’d be wild. That’d be absolutely wild. Charlie Sinclair, resident Charger fan. They’re having a tough time right now waiting for players to come back. 199 Garrett Nusmire to AZ the Savior. I’d get I’d take a Nusmeire. That slap for Johnny. Bo’s not a huge fan. Garrett Nusmire. Yeah. I mean, I think he’s had a couple opportunities to step up for LSU and he has not. He’s he’s he’s uh he’s he he has good games against bad teams. Uh he comes back 199 any chance cards will be sellers 100%. I think we could see this the selling off of some veterans here in in a matter of weeks. I think the somebody came out I think it I can’t remember who it was. Oh uh who’s our dude from ESPN that does stuff with Mina Kimes that’s been on our show. Um who’s a fellow short king like me. Uh breaks down the tape. I can’t remember what his name is, but he said no team needs a player more at the deadline than the Bills need a safety. So maybe maybe you ship him Jaylen Thompson. You let Jaylen Thompson go play for the Buffalo Bills. Poor Jaylen. Benjamin Solak is who I’m thinking. Uh wrapping it up here with Michael Meyer. Uh 199. You knew exactly what you ordered. Absolutely. During Mocha Gate, guy is supposed to be abstaining from sugar and he orders a drink where the main ingredient is sugary chocolate syrup. It was sugar-free. And I think I’m not I don’t want to put any ill will on that nice young lady that was working there, but I’m pretty sure you know when people fudge up your order, but you’re too kind to say, “No, ma’am, it’s okay.” And you just try to play it off. That’s what I was doing, but that’s fine. Some of us try to be the bigger person, but Mike, you wouldn’t know anything about that. Oh my god. To our super chats. He doesn’t deserve to be uh clapped back at by you. All people who is not innocent. You were guilty. They’re a mocha gate. People in the chat saying I have character issues. Mocha gate’s all we got. This team’s not giving us any team’s not giving us [ __ ] We need Mocha Gate back in the first way. There’s 270 watching. There’s 35 likes. Help us out. I know a lot of us uh are struggling to get the stream. Uh make sure this episode doesn’t just go uh on deaf ears uh and gets watched by Cardinals fans who want to watch it. Uh easiest way to help us out hitting that like button. Times are tough. Emo, this is one of my favorite sayings. Emotions are emotions are running high right now for this show, for these hosts, for the Cardinals specifically. Chef is is completely right. You’re putting the blame on that young lady. Unbelievable. Just this enough time has passed. You screwed up my order. No, I don’t do that. Enough time has passed. You just just you take what you know Starbucks gives you. Um I need a win like I need air. This team disappointed every day. I do think that the Ganon clip could be fuel if we I will just say if they win this weekend, we’ll come back to that. Ganon in the in the news two straight weeks by the way with that clip and then last week with the situation with D Marcato he’s getting his facetime in. Yeah. Whether it’s good or bad. Um man, this team we’re going to be doing a big Friday preview show as the Cardinals welcome the Packers who historically they have not had a ton of success against recently uh post Bruce Arens. But that was a good time to start a new streak. Bo. Yeah, somebody was asking us to drop one of our our vices. Louis saying, “Can you do another vice for a win?” Maybe we might have to kick that around. Could be a while. I like my vices. I’ve earned that. Going into a bye-week. If they lose against the Packers on Sunday, we’ll kick that around post buy. Yeah, that’s good. It’s good. Listen, like why are we Why do you and I continue to give up things though? This team continues to give up on us. When is this team gonna win a game? When is this team gonna win the NFC West? You’ve been asking them to give up on on somebody. Yeah. No players dead. A lot of people have been asking me to call the Cardinals dead because it’s the reverse jinx. Like I’m bad. I have no faith in what they’re doing. I’m very disappointed in everybody involved. They blew the off season. They’re dead. How about that? Now, let’s see it. They have here’s here’s here’s the biggest piece of like keeping the faith as Bees put it. They have good players on their team. They need their good players to play to play good football. Haven’t gotten that yet. I saw like our third open letter to the organization today that I’ve seen on social media. What did you send to me? I need you to say that to the people right now. What you I just think we need to put a pause on open letters to this organ. Oh, that’s not what you said. You said I want to do an open letter for no more open letters. That’s no disrespect. By the way, the team’s name is just bad. That’s that’s it. It’s not like an indictment on the ownership. This isn’t like about the facility or anything. This is about This team isn’t playing good football. It’s not Yeah. It’s nothing to do with like Put away your your pen. Put away your paper. This is about That’s playing bad football. We all love the Walter Nolan pick. We all love the Marv pick. They stopped charging for food two years ago. They’re building a Scottsdale complex elite. They spent a hundred plus million dollars in free agency this year. Like they had a great off season. We got a coaching and a quarterback problem that they’re trying to figure out. That’s it. They have a bunch of players go down. I’m not making excuses, but like the Cardinals like infrastructure is not broken. They’re just they suck right now. They’re not they’re not a way how it’s like Baldi said. It’s like how do you find a way to become a winning team? Michael Bidwell can’t do that for them on Sunday. It’s like they have the pieces. They lost to the Tennessee Titans, fam. That you just inexcusable. It just is they may never get over that. If Jonathan Ganon’s not back next year, it’s because they they lost to the Tennessee Titans. Inexcusable. Yeah. I mean, it it changed the whole complexion of the season. Like they they could be three and three. Like it could stand to lose to Green Bay and get back on track against Dallas. Now it’s like you got to win. Trash. Trash. The team that, as Alex said, team that fired their head coach, you lost to in year three of a rebuild when like your your players were like you had a quarterback that you went all in with that was healthy and a play and you have your How many times does that happen? You have the same coordinators, the same head coach, the same quarterback, year three of a rebuild, you’re at home facing a winless team and you lost to them. that it is it’s going to be the nail in the coffin as Sag put it if if things unravel if they go and have a prolonged losing streak like last week in my opinion was the time to buck the losing that game was there to be won didn’t do it you can people will point to Amari and they will point to Rabbit Taylor Demerson fa fumbling away the interception and it’s like two fluky plays doesn’t matter but It exposed a major flaw of this team and how it just it it approached its offense when holding on to a lead trying to build a lead. They had the ball with the lead with like two minutes left. They targeted Marvin Harrison Jr. one time in the second half. They straight to jail. Everybody Yep. Everybody deserves blame. De Marcado, whatever. I mean, that wins the game. You know, Rabbit wins the game. Z Jones against the 49ers. Yeah. But it’s like, guys, you had seven. You You’re not winning games with 15 points. That’s why it’s just like you might as well just play Jacobe Brouset at this at this point until he stops. I’m not that beaten. I’m not that beaten. No, I am. I don’t want to go back. Are are a little tougher, I guess. I’m gonna tell you right now. Yeah. Kyler Murray goes back in this lineup. What kind of passing numbers is this team going to have? Same. It’s a fair question. Same. I don’t believe him. Prove me wrong. If they have similar skill sets as I confirmed with the OC yesterday where he believe he’s he told that to us stupid then deploy the same offense. But they won’t. You want like true insight on it like Baldi I think gave some great uh analysis today. straight up said they need to play Jakob Riveret. Yeah, he’s got no he’s got no dog in this fight. He’s got no biases. He just grinds tape and he said you just got to play Jakobet. So that’s what the Cardinals are going to do this weekend. We’re off tomorrow. We got content dropping. We’re back on a football Friday to preview Cards hosting the Green Bay Packers again. So fired up for this weekend. We got our tailgate chicken the pickle. We’re going to be out there. We’re going be slamming wings. You know, maybe let’s have a cocktail if you’re coming out. I will do my best to drink it responsibly with everybody in a seated area, a grassy shaded area. Yeah. I won’t have the pressures of Bo or Noah there asking me to chug and I’m just going to say, “Let’s have some fun at Chicken and Pickle.” Make sure you’re following along. I will be at practice tomorrow at phnx_cardinals at Bo. Follow Johnny at Johnny Venerable. Johnny, when’s the last time when was the first time you removed emotion from following this team? Removed emotion? I don’t know. when I was born. I don’t think I’ve ever removed emotion. I don’t think it’s ever happened. All right. There you go. JG had a way better answer than you. All right. We’ll talk to you guys uh full preview on Friday. In the meantime, have a good one. We’ll talk to you then on PHX Cardinals. [Applause] [Music]

Everybody loves the backup until he returns to performing like a career backup.
Fire from the top GM and all of the coaches and trade Kyler
Keep Kyler?! You’re not getting any better with him. He is at best an avg QB, you have to try to get better. If you keep him, you’re acknowledging you’re not a serious franchise. You have to try to find the next guy.
Our Fans: iTs NoT kYlErS fAuLt!!
NFL Experts: Yeah, Kyler’s not the guy and it’s pretty clear.
Nolan is going to have as much impact on games as he is currently having on games……absolutely none at all; he was a reach & the 2nd coming of R. Kemdeechi…only worse.
Once again, they can’t admit the most obvious thing from last Sunday’s passing game improvement……the absence of one Marshmellow Marvin Harrison.
Can the guy on the left please stop mewing its making me uncomfortable
Nico lamaleava is the best qb in next years draft
If this is to be Kyler's last year, open up the playbook and let him go out slinging.
The refs looked Trey McBride in the face & said “f*** y** and Arizona being 3-3(.500.)”
This shit is worse than WWE
When it comes to storyline
Pretending like the Cardinals don’t run play action from under center with Kyler is ridiculous.
Also Jacoby got to do it without Isaiah Adams letting the DT sprint into the backfield.
Clayton Tune revenge game
