(SNY) “We’ve had success and failure. We had a good team, but fell short of our ultimate goal. I’ll leave it for the masses to debate what ultimately came out of it. Proud of a lot of things we accomplished.”

  1. I feel like he’s said this to be past few years at the postseason press conferences

  2. Hey, guess what. Ownership and the front office is thrilled with being the present day Chicago cubs.

Tickets and fan interest print money regardless, were “in it” but also not really.

  3. “Leave it to the masses”??

Son of a bitch, it’s been 16 freaking years since the YANKEES have won a World Series!!

  4. What did they accomplish exactly? Choked away a 7+ game division lead, sucked for 2.5 months straight in the summer for like the 5th year in a row, won a wild card then suffered a gentleman’s sweep in the alds from another al east team?

Like what is there to be proud of exactly

  5. Proud of an embarrassing ALDS exit against a division foe who was projected to come in…*checks notes* 4th place this year.

  6. “Proud of what we accomplished” while we watch the Dodgers well on their way to another World Series and becoming what the Yankees used to be.

  7. “we accomplished nothing and we are really proud of all the things that we accomplished”

  9. Hal is destroying the family name, which used to be synonymous with “often irrational demand for continuous excellence”. Ownership and management now seem more concerned about profitability than excellence.

  10. Proud of squandering a huge lead and getting slapped by the Blue Jays. Okay

George Steinbrenner would’ve never allowed the BS without cleaning house

  11. It’s one thing if it’s a one off. But we’ve been essentially going for the championship since 2018. No one wants to hear this non answer bs

  12. They’re not even trying to hide the apathy anymore. Even a lot of fans are pretty apathetic at this point. Nothing’s gonna change, who fucking cares anymore.

  13. I can’t with this team anymore. It is becoming more & more likely that 2017 & 2024 were there ONLY chances to win. Main core is aging out and they contiue to plug spots instead of rebuilding like a ship with too many holes. Judge will go down as one of my favorite players ever but he’s legacy might be more Don Mattingly than Derek Jeter.

  14. This man has built 1 championship roster in his entire 20+ year tenure (Stick Michael built the 90s teams) and that was basically just done by signing FAs and rolling the ball out there. That team only had 3 SPs that could be trusted in the playoffs. And yet he acts like he’s the ultimate baseball genius that should never be questioned

  15. Great stuff from the man who started his job with the winningest roster in history only to develop rosters himself that are on the verge of an all time ringless stretch.

  16. He’s such a hate-able asshole. Wish George was still around to kick his stupid ass to the curb. Instead, we’re stuck with Hal who couldn’t care less if the team wins or not, he’s just interested in the team being in the black & giving the appearance of wanting to win.
