It’s the second road trip of the preeason for the Spurs and it takes them to Indie inside of Cambridge Fieldhouse. All season long, Spurs basketball is presented by AGB. It is the Spurs and it is the defending Eastern Conference champion Indiana Pacers. They finished the season 21-9 in their last 30 games, fourth in the East going to the NBA finals for the first time since 2000. A big reason why Andrew Nhard. Yeah, he had a fantastic second half of the season and playoffs. Castle for two. Welcome back, Steph Castle. That’s a good decision there just to sneak it off the glass, get it pass down Seattle instead of trying to dunk the ball. Mattherin the pull up rolls in. Turnover for the Spurs. Matan again. Jackson driving it. Webmanyama lost it. Good job by Victor there. Not the foul. Webmanyama all the way. Count it. And a foul lighting here in Indie. There’s the affforementioned Barnes down to Victor. Another left-handed dunk. Too easy. And strips Nemhard. Here comes Webmanyama in the open court. The alley to Castle is good. How about the length there by Victor just to come up with the steal using those long arms and then does a great job running the break. Beautiful little touch lob to Steph Castle in the open court. Mapper and kind of in a foul and Victor flexing that left arm. Romanyama pushing out of the way. One-handed pass from Castle. Champ Penny burries it. It’s a 12 to3 Spurs run over the last two minutes. Matarin again. There’s knee Smith and blocked by Wimmenyama and he kept it in play. Yeah, that’s going to do a lot more this season. You can see it coming. Done it already a few times in this preseason. Champenny and Fuego timeout. Indie 21 made three-pointers in the preseason. Knee Smith for three. What a player he’s turned into. Sean Barnes got it. Mr. 100%. He’s back. That was nothing above the bottom. No, he never left. Cornette puts the spin move on Huff a three. Awapua. Screen from Cornette. The dish. Hornet hit and it rolls down and he’s flexing and Indie looking at his bench. Here’s Harper driving all the way and the rookie gets it to go. Peter stepping back out to Tophin. That time the three is good. Yeah, he’s really worked on that shot. Cameron Payne stepping in, whips it out. They move it. It’s Peter who hits it. Seakum back in there. Swiss. He just found that soft spot in the zone. Didn’t hesitate. Guarded by Toppinh rising and swishing. He’s got 12 points. Yeah. No way Tophen’s going to get to that shot. Just like the three ball. He sees Fer back there lurking. B decides to kick it back out. Wii for three again. Seakum spin the bump and it rolls in. Yeah, he had to get physical there. Create some space and that’s exactly how you defuse a shot blocker. Siaka for three. He throws from everywhere. Castle firing. Castle hitting for three. Really worked on his game a lot this summer. Penny right back to Wanyyama. Back to Champenny. He’s already hit two. Make it three. Jules continues. Here’s Vel tipsy do works. Castle wanted to pass it to Cornet who was cutting. Decided not to. Now it’s Devin who’s driving back out. Castle again, wide open that time. Yeah, I see that three-point percentage skyrocketing this season. Castle waits, hangs, got it, and one. He’s too strong. Matan to the rim. Nice back door cut. Al pass is right on the money. Able to thread the needle there. Missed his five of five. Another Spurs turnover. Matan again. I like the idea. Good find again from Scout. again. Yeah, he’s become one of those guys that you can’t leave alone. Second to last preseason game for the Spurs. They’ll play Indie again at home on Friday as Matarin continues. Sean is seven of seven from the field for 20 points toward face as Harper. That’ll count. Yep. Goending Cell though. Smith out of the pack on the run. pull up for three. Got two [Applause] and Webmanyama right there at the right time. Barely jumping. Naperin again. Still hasn’t missed. Seakum jab step and hits it. As soon as Victor’s hand went down, the shot was away by Seakum. Harper flies and scores. 5 seconds remaining. Mathan hasn’t missed and it continues on three.2 seconds. Seyakum had a good first half and that continues. Lemanyama spinning on Jackson. The left hand is good. The touch from the big man. Lee Smith bothered by that length from Lemanyama. Nemhard three. Yes. And the Pacers take a one-point lead. Mataran the dunk. Couple dribbles from Womanyama and a foul. And he just big people are not supposed to be able to move like that and handle the ball the way he does. This did not count. That’s why I was kind of laughing cuz he just nonchalantly did this. On the Victor scale, let’s take a two. A super easy. Two out of 10. Mathin. Barnes driving this time. Throw it up and Victor comes down with it. Victor just had to get his bearings. And that is a I’m giving that one a seven or an eight on the Victor scale. Walker driving and a nice finish from Jarus Walker. His right hand opposite side. Harper for three. Two-point game as we hit the 5minute mark of the third. Harper again. Wraparound pass. KJ three. You bet. A swish from Kell Johnson into the hands of Harper. Screen from Cornet. Kell again. Again. Backto back threes from number three. Shot pocket. Two. Cornet has to put it up. Fading away and put it in. A Swiss. Out to Harper. Right back out. Kell a three. It’s all working right now. Oh boy, I’m so excited. A very warm ugly sweater. Payne puts it down. Minyama thought about the deep three now on the drive. The dish. Kell up and in. Count it. And a foul. Starting to see some of the rotations that coach Mitch wants to put out there. And with all these guys that There’s Cam Payne again. All these guys that can create offense for one another out there. Kilder doesn’t have to do a lot. Walker jumper. He’s good. That was a good decision. Use your height advantage there. Tayen Peter. No, but the put back is good. And timeout Pacers. Five-point Spurs lead. The Yumbo trying to go to work against Bradley and does. We saw that a bunch last year. Yeah, that’s a high percentage shot for him. Laughlin turned it over. Jones Garcia with the steal and some speed. Jones Garcia. No. Waters the follow. Long one. Showing us something. That spectacular dunk. Carter Bryant for three. Made the big one in the fourth quarter with 20 seconds remaining against the Jazz. That continues here. He’s got terrific form on his shot. Just a matter of getting reps and maintaining your confidence. Want to give it back to Riley after he worked so hard for that second effort. Jones Garcia that time banks it in. Count it. And a foul. Two minutes remaining. or the Patriots. Yeah, exactly. Now you’re catching on Potter too strong. Tapped back out by Minn. Shot clock resets. Carter Bryant. Yes, a three. I’m telling you, he can shoot it. Just a matter of time and confidence. Am three with the Spurs. So, they’re just going to run down the clock here [Applause] [Music] and come to Cambridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis and beat the Pacers 124 to 108.
