Throwback Thursday to certainly one of the Giants starting outfields of all time (Opening Day 2019)
October 16, 2025
Post Pence, McCutchen, Gorkys, and Blanco. Pre Pillar, Yaz, and Dickerson.

Parra was with the Giants a few short months, but after he was DFA’d, almost a week later, he hit a go ahead slam against the Dodgers. That right there makes him a Forever Giant.
I have no memory of Michael Reed…
Connor Joe! The promised one!
God I remember how much I hoped Duggar was going to turn out. Wild that Connor Joe actually ended up playing nearly 500 games in MLB
Same here, Michael Reed rings no bells and I’m not going to take the time to google him.
I was at the opening day game vs. the Padres in San Diego in 2019. Was kinda embarrassed to be a Giants fan. Connor Joe and Michael Reed were the starting corner outfielders. Joe made a throw from LF that’s the worst play I’ve ever seen in person at an MLB game- a 12 hopper.
Not only did Zaidi force Joe into the lineup, but the poor guy was playing out of position. The weird side of Farhan. Shortly after Pillar was acquired – had a great season – but of course wasn’t retained. The never-ending roster churn was maddening.
Peak Farhan right there. Thinking he can mold a team with a computer
