Brought back the other way by Noah Lava. Lava into the slot area looking for Robertson. Back in front of the net. Good poke check made by Stoolars to deny Radish. Cowan gets it off on the near side. Machelli doesn’t shoot it. Machelli with it again. Centering passes for Kalan tried to make a pass on the goal line and that was turned aside. Now Tanu bats it with a glove to get it ahead and the Leafs are able to get it out at center to the line. A wall on the wing for John Crook dropping for Riley in for a shot and a grilling shot there by Carlo. Swallowed up by Shurken. We got some pushing going on in the blue paint. Joshua being picked out of the scrum for the roughing call. Well, that was after Kulie got him in a headlock. Savannah Jaden getting it around on the far side trying to come out way with it. Lafrenier to the near wing and comes a pass in front of the goal. What a save made by Skolars off Lafrenier. Fox back on the far side near boards now for Lafrenier. He had a glorious chance there down low. A center pass. Another big save made by Stallars looking in front. Panaran gets it back to the blue line. Blocks the shot, blocked away, batted out of the air, high but not cleared. Gets it again into the slot, but can’t shoot it. Tavvaris having difficulties with it. Lost it. Another hook and penalty. Boy, I I think this is a little weak. I thought this was stick on stick. They’re going to say he got it into the hands of Tvaris a bit. Knander again with the puck in the far corner. Looks it back to the blue line to Riley. Riley walks the line. Back to Knander. Knander with a pass in grabbed off on the wing. Cleared out and down the ice. What a chance there for Matthews at the side of the goal for Machelli. Back to Larson. Ecman Larson with a pass in redirected by Domian. A good save by Shurken. Back of the net for McMahon. Now a centering pass in front looking for Robertson and he just failed to connect. Send to Robertson centering. Oh, and he redirects that and a great glove save made by Shurken. Penalty has 22 seconds left in it. First unit back over the boards. Walking the line is Oliver Ecman Larson on the right wing side. Knander assist. [Music] Ny was in front of the net. I don’t know if it went off his stick or a Ranger, but it does appear that Matthew Ny has opened the scoring on the power play. Hey, how about that first unit? Get a second look. And this was after the first or the second unit came out and had some great opportunities. And here it’s Willie Knander in the rightwing circle. Just sits closer towards the net. Brought you. You know what? Second place is a long way away. Penalty here right off the draw. Nas will go for a trip into the slot. It comes back to the blue line. Back to Fox again to Miller. Miller on the near half wall in front of the net. A shot right on. Big scramble and Stallars is able to get the oven mitts on it. Yarn Cook couldn’t get it out for him. Yarn Cook battles as Fox comes to the near side for Connor Sherry. Back into the slaughter shot that was blocked in front. The rebound. Oh, what a save made by Stallards. Holy makai. He got across again. Rangers out and they just showed again. And it looked like an empty neck goal and Anthony Stler is on a rebound is on his backside out of position and has to dive to his left. Gloved first. Two minutes left in the period as Matthews intercepts. Matthews getting it ahead for N. N has got a man with him. N shoots and that’s kicked away nicely by Shurken. Panaran shields the puck well with his skate. Cuts it out in front of the net. Good block by Riley though to cover his man as it comes back to the point with the drive. Pad saved. He wasn’t expecting it. Rangers get it out at center. Pass in on the right side. Hard to the net. It’s Kulie and that was on the rebound. It’s batted by the lead defenseman just wide of the goal. John Tavvaris and the Rangers get ahead on the right side for Kulie. Kulie into the slot area down low into the corner. Centering pass. Big save. rebound in front of the goal. Great play by Ny. Matthew Ny tied up his man and outfought him for a loose puck right at the blue paint allowing Stallars to recover. But if he doesn’t outfight that man for the puck is tied. Can’t get the puck out. But now it does get out and Knander gets a loose puck to the line and in for Tamarz. Shot it high and wide to that far corner and he had room. Krimpy tries to get to the front of the net with a weak shot that is swallowed up there by goender Anthony Stolars. Got free of one man but couldn’t get free of the other. Now here is Benois keeping it in. Back of the net. It goes to Knander in front of the net. A quick shot by Tavaris. Didn’t get Goodwood on it. Now there’s a scramble in front of the goal, but it’s cleared by the Rangers as the puck is kept in momentarily. But the Rangers get a twoon-one break now and over the line with a shot. Big save made by Stallars and the rebound was poked free from him. Panaran holds to the point. Long shot in traffic down to Stallars looking for the rebound and he has it. We’ll just get it out at center ice. Bouncing puck now for Yarnrook. Yarn in over the line with a weak shot that is going to be easily handled by Igor Shurken. And a faceoff will come in the Ranger zone to the right. Solar pumping it around the wall and the Leafs are able to come away with it and get it up on the right side. Carlo quick pass onto the left wing and into the slot of for Doby. Big save. Rebound. A juicy rebound in front. No one can get their stick on it. Rebound to the blue line, but Fox makes a good play to keep it in. Leaves take him up. Now Benois is going to go to the box for a trip here. One- nothing Toronto. Machelli for Matthews into the slot. Riley fixing rebound fired wide by Machelli. And now three Rangers against one leaf. Back in over the line now comes Radish. Radish center. Holly Mai. He’s done it again. Anthony Stallard goes post to post. What a save he makes off the stick of Sammy Carrick. Well, right after the Leafs have a great chance at one end. Everybody gets caught deep and it’s Radish and Carrick on a twoonone quarterline threeonone and Anthony Stallers for about the fourth time in the game has to go post to post down into the corner. A pass into the slot area by Lafrenier was cut off but now the Rangers are able to play it around back and then they set. Oh, what a chance that was. Parsonan was uh the leaf forward. Yarn crook and no call. Now Stallars has lost his goal stick. Comes in front of the net. The goal stick makes the save. Rebound scores off a point shot by Braden Schneider and the deflection in front of the net. And is it Parson? I believe it is who will get credit for the goal. 1-1 when Brandon Carlo had fallen in front of the Leaf net. So I think the Leafs have used their time out here to explore that a little more and then have decided not to challenge the goal. And the Jays have taken a two to one lead on a given as home run. And that that cheer is continuing here as it the rest of the fans have found out about it. And a let’s go Blue Jay chant has started and the Leafs will send it right back to Knander. Dropped off for Matthews. Off on the wing for in front for Knander. Oh, what a great chance that was. And it went off the catching hand of Chester Sturken wide and the Rangers trying to break it out at center. Good back checking there by Huah. And it’s stuck in over the line. Dolley McMahon and Robertson back together in over the line now for New York. Pass on the near wing and a pass in on a deflection that went just wide of the lead goal. Backhanded in over the line by Dakota Joshua. Oh, a body check that flattens his men from Rua. Back to the net for DOI trying to slash it out in front. It comes to the point and drive. Big tack save off the stick of Brandon Carlo. Circles back in his own end. The Leer trying to get a change going. Here’s Machelli coming to center. Tried to flip it in. That one off his stick. It bounces in front of it for Javarus and he shot it just wide. Circles back in his own zone. Looks up ice. Has to go off his skate. Machelli gives the puck away in front of the goal. Rey a shot right out and stopped. Another pass in front of the goal. Mask is on. Oh wow. Well, Stallard has lost his mask and the referee did not blow the whistle. Scrum it up against the endboard. They get it back to the point shot in traffic and Stallards just able to cover up on that and hold on. Rempy getting in a shoving match played by the Rangers after winning it into the corner for Panaran. Back to the point. Shot coming deflected and smothered by Stallars. Boy, they’re just playing with fire, right? Panaran works across ice now with a chance. Blocked. Riley starts back. Riley and Matthews 211 across the line with Knander closing. Knander in. They score. Knander to Matthews. Over time winner. [Applause] Seconds before the Leafs almost got caught with too many men on the ice. Dander went towards the bench. N was just about to jump on and then had to retreat and thank God he did because Riley starts the Leafs out on a twoon-one break pass to Knander on the right wing side. Matthews goes to the net, but what a move by Willie Knander on a strong side. Right-handed shot on the right wing side. Fakes the shot. A little tow drag to go around the defenseman and then slip it over to Austin Matthews who chips it in for the game winner. And the Leafs who had long stretches where they were not very impressive, especially offensively in this game found a way to get the extra point in overtime. So Austin Matthews with his fourth goal of this young season gives the Leafs the win in overtime.
