the Florida Panthers here at the Rock. Devils two and one to start the year. Florida looking 
for their first road win. They’re 0 and2 played last night. Fell to the Detroit Red Wings. Here

his forehand, slings a shot that’s deflected by Terrace off to the corner. Seth Jones to Bennett 
spinning, finds Jones and out it comes. Pass goes out to Marian. He’s got Rodriguez with him, but 
he goes between the circles. The shot doesn’t get through. The rebound tapped home by Rodriguez 
and Florida draws first blood. And a minute 59 seconds in the Rebel. Yeah, he makes a good save 
initially, Allen. Nobody picks up Rodriguez around the net. He had had the first and somehow finds 
a way. A little outnumbered here. Marian makes a nice move to the middle, but the initial shot is 
stopped. Rodriguez there a right-handed shooter on the off side, so makes it a little bit easier. 
He just has to chip this. Rodriguez is second from Marian who gets his third assist. Blast from the 
far point by Jeff Petri is steered aside by Allen. Back off of Jack Hughes, but it pops right onto 
the stick of Marshia before he changes. Sends it down. Samvich shot saved by All, but he draws 
a penalty. Glendenning comes in for support. Vhagi with it back up top for Petri. Slides 
to the far corner. Shot by Verhi. Clumped out of the air by Allen. Reinard brings it 
in. The shot goes wide as he was pestered by Jack Hughes. Zlad keeps it alive, slings 
it around the wall. Bennett centering pass, goes off of the post off the shot by Reinhardt. 
Yeah, and there was a block in front and there’s Reinhardt with can’t get around Seanth goes up the 
wall. Two and one. We’re back to five on five and it’s cleared. Here comes Luke Dukes out of the 
box. Fires a shot and a save by Terasaw. Only 37 seconds on the last power play. Jack back to 
Luke. sets the one timer for Meyer and a sliding save by Terasol. Meyer back to Luke. Luke drives 
to the blue line. Lester Rain’s all over him. So he spins it back to the near boards and Teimo 
Meyer. Meyer finds Jack. Jack drives up the wall. Drops back off for Meer. Intercepted by Forsling, 
but he can’t clear thanks to Luke Hughes. Quickly back to your shot. Deflected on Paris with the 
save. Brat circle back up top for Luke. Luke back to Pratt. Pratt between the circles. Loaded. 
He just steers a save by Daras. Rebound taken by Luke Hughes. Goes over the net. Get the puck in 
behind the goal line. Try to hem in Florida here for a good minute. Pesy straight away. Paddle 
away by Terasoff. Rebound. Reinhardt. Stops on his forehead. Drops it back off for Brack. Bra 
climbs it. Sean thick aside by Terasov. Gino icing. Terrace on the play to the side of 
his net. Stolen by Mercer. Oh, with a shot and it was deflected by Meer and went wide. Just 
missed. So, Devils coming close on a few occasions here. Big collision there between Eflat and the 
captain Heir. Shot by Meer and it’s patted away by Terasoft Dillard. Near circle rips a shot that 
gets deflected. Bouncing puck in the slot and the Panthers come down with it and it’s cleared out 
by Cunning. Samuskevich looking for some room. Fires a shot and it’s a shoulder save. Goes to the 
near boards. I’ll never forget the booze. Devils with a steal and a twoon one. Jack Hughes and Brad 
Hughes saved by Terasoft. But the Devils are going to go on the power play. Assist and the Devils 
off to the races. There’s the hook. That’s going to be a penalty. But what a chance. Jack Hughes 
patience waits for the defenseman to go down. A terrific move and that was Seth Jones. 
Goes down early by whose dad pitched for the Detroit Tigers back today. Allen in finds 
Glenn Denning with a backhand and a toe save by Terasoft. Then slings another sharp angle shot. 
A save by the Panther M. Terasoft. Excuse me. It’s Halin who got that saucer pass over to 
Glen Denning. Carter made the initial pass. Watch Glend go to the backand. 
Terasoft stayed stayed patient, calm, made a nice save. Luke Hughes Meyer quickly 
to Pratt. 120 to go on the power play. Jack drives towards the net. Sharp goes and scores. Jack 
Hughes first of the season. We’re tied at one. This place has erupted. They were just looking for something positive 
and Jack Hughes brought to you by the New Jersey Lottery. Remember, anything can happen in Jersey 
and Brat and Jack have been moving the puck around prior to this getting Panthers out of position. 
Forsling made two huge blocks initially earlier on the Devils. Oh, nice by the Devils. I got 
to beat him when he was the Rangers. Pass over the blow away and Meyer with a shot and Terasol 
makes the save. 22nd of the night for Terasov. Panthers can’t clear. It’s held in by 
Peshy. Slings a shot off the crossbar. That close to the lead. Brad stays 
with it. Gets it back out to the wing for Jack and another save and it’s 
clear. Three minutes have just put on a clinic. There’s the wrist from the point that 
does beat Teras off. He doesn’t even see it. Great shot by Peshi. Screened in front by Palante 
to Meyer thanks to the reach of Forsley Mercer back up top. Dylan slides it to Nemits. Heaves 
a pass deflected by scores. Deflects bounces the puck past Teras off and the Devils take 
their first lead of the game. It’s to the one. They keep at it. stick with it. Plenty of chances. 
Terasoft playing so well this time. Just a quick shot to the net. That’s going to go wide. And 
what a beautiful redirection and hand eye from Teemo Meers as that bounces through Forsley’s 
legs on the tip and bounces past the goalender Terasoft. Beautifully played for argument sake. 
Top 10 defenseman in the National Hockey League. Real good defenseman. Dylan with 
a shot that goes wide. Rodriguez backhand. Can’t get it out as Meer 
does a good job to keep. Diving play goes back out to Peter. The captain gives 
the Devils insurance and it’s three to one as the Devils get themselves a little cushion. 
But there’s right there. Florida can’t quite handle the puck. Jones. It was kept in initially 
by Maro. The swing around and Dawson Mercer who continues to play good hockey. Watch here. Look at 
the effort from Mercer to poke it to his balances the blue line. Bennett shot goes off a Merc diving 
play by Pachy but not clear. Reinhardt to Jones creeps up. Jones for Reinhardt. Reinhardt 
rips a shot and scores. And with 117 to go, it’s a onegoal game. They’re waving it off. 
is challenging the ruling on the ice that there was goal interference prior to the goal. 
Well, they got to do it right at this stage of the game. Just got enough of Allen’s shoulder 
that that’s probably what the officials saw. Wow. Wait a minute. Excuse me. I have 
to review. There is no goal. 10 seconds. The New Jersey Devils on their way to 
their third consecutive win and they win the home opener. Put a pitchfork 
in this one. Devils win three to one.
