Dallas Cowboys GETTING LINEBACKER HELP?! MULTIPLE STARTERS RETURNING For Commanders Game!

What is going on everybody? Welcome back to Attack on Cowboys and we’re gonna step away from the gloom and doom trailer for a little bit and let’s look towards some potential hope as in today’s episode we have could the Cowboys possibly be getting some linebacker help from outside the building. There are some hints out there that that may allude to just that. In addition to this, the Cowboys finally are looking healthy and Matt Eberloose is talking and spoiler alert, it’s not gonna make us feel good. Let’s get right into it. Be sure to subscribe for more Dallas Cowboys content just like this on the regular. [Music] Man, shut your up. All right, y’all. Let’s jump right into some good news first. The good news here is the Cowboys initial injury report against the Washington Commanders looks pretty damn good, y’all. We actually have a lot of people back in practice. We don’t have anybody that was a DNP besides the Marvon overone and and the guys that are still on IR obviously, but as far as the guys who are on an active roster right now, everyone participated in Wednesday practice to some degree. That’s good news for a team that literally needs all the help it can possibly get specifically on the defensive side of the ball. So, if we look at this on the defensive side of the ball, James Houston full participant. Trevon Diggs was a full participant. Uh Kaylin Carson full participant. So, maybe we’re going to get a little bit more help in that defensive backfield um in this next game. I don’t know how much help Kaylin Carson will be, but hey, man, it can’t get much worse than when we already got back there. Don Wilson was limited. Cavonte Turpin was limited. Remember, he’s on track to return this Sunday against the Commanders. We also have Tyler Smith, who was limited. Jack Sandborn, the the the linebacker that a lot of y’all been hating on. We’re going to talk about that position in a second, but Jack Sandborn was limited. And I think Shotty Sale has one more test to pass before he’s essentially cleared for this upcoming game. And I’m going tell y’all right now, man. Shear ain’t ready just yet. Um Kenneth Murray looks so much worse without Jack Samborn right next to him. So, I want Jack Sanborn back in the game right here. Right. So, Jack Sanborn, he’s going to be here, but we may get some help in that linebacker room. I’m just going to talk about just a second. Uh Jonathan Mingo was limited and he was actually practicing during the media availability portion of practice. So, that means that Mingo could possibly be somebody that’s that’s that’s slated to return. And remember, they already activated his 21-day practice window along with Kaylin Carson. So, they’re going to have to bring those guys onto the field at some point or or at least put them on the active roster at some point, which means some subsequent roster moves are going to have to be made. But, I’m excited to see what a Jonathan Domingo looks like in this offense. And you can see someone like a Ryan Fenoy has started to take off with Dak Prescott throwing him the ball. George Pickkins is finding his groove. CD Lamb and Dak, we already know what they can be. You add another guy like a Jonathan Mingo to that in addition to a Cavante Turpin as a gadget guy kind of using him here and there. I love our wide receiver room at this point. I’m not going to lie to you. Our wide receiver room is pretty much set. Resign George. Um in addition to that, CD Lamb was limited. He’s also on track to play this upcoming Sunday. So, it’s going to be a huge, huge boost to the Dallas Cowboys. Marshon Neland, he was getting bullied a lot, but he was limited in practice. And then we got some offensive line guys up there at the top of the injury report. But essentially, everybody on the Cowboys is starting to get back healthy. I think Malika Hooker and pretty much the guys that are still on IR are the only ones that were really looking at like, ah, what’s going on? But as far as the guys on active roster, everyone’s getting back healthy to some degree, right? So, good news there. Now, let’s talk about a little bit of bad news. Good news and bad news. Cowboys defensive coordinator Matt Eberlu says they are still working on finding their identity. He says changes will be quote subtle. When your performance has been inconsistent or not to the standard, you look at everything. Nothing is off the table. keep working. The solutions are in the room. Now, the solutions are in the room part may worry some people. I’m not going to lie to you. That may worry some people. And could this be a little bit of, hey, coaches went out and handpicked certain guys and they’re wanting to show their bosses that they know what they’re doing. Absolutely. I think there some pride could be of play here because I don’t know how you look at our safety play and our defensive back play and say that the solutions are in the room when those are the best guys on your roster essentially at those positions. They performed the way they have. Was going to say that. I just going to say that off rip. But uh I’m interested to see how this defense gets better as more guys get healthy as starters come back. De Marviano overone, we get Kaylin Carson eventually get somebody like a Savone Revel on the field which they’re really really taking their time with which I don’t blame because you don’t want another Trarevon Diggs or Don Bland type situation where you have a corner who cannot stay healthy and and to that point I don’t know why you I’m not trying to talk crazy about Savone or I don’t know why you drafted another corner that’s injured. I’m just saying he may have all the tools and traits in the world but you’re you’re kind of snake bitten at that position as it is. the last thing you need to do is add another guy to that that that is injured or or coming off a history of a bad injury, right? Uh so hopefully uh Savone that could be his one and only injury. But hey man, cross our fingers on that one. Now, as it pertains to ways this defense can get a little bit better and they’re saying nothing is off the table and the solutions are in the room. Um those two things kind of contradict each other because nothing off the table should mean that looking for solutions outside the room as well. Uh, but we have been getting teased a little bit. Been getting teased a little bit. Former Dallas Cowboys linebacker Eric Hendrickx was seen taking a picture on IG a few days ago with a Dallas Cowboys helmet next to him and it looks like he was working out or something and he chose a Cowboys helmet for his workout gear. Now, was Eric Kendricks an allp pro last season? Absolutely not. He had his down moments for sure. But is he probably better than what we’re running out there with right now? I would likely say so. Not gonna lie to you. I would likely say so. Um, so could something like this possibly help us? Absolutely. And something that you may notice is there’s a lot of Cowboys players who actually left a like on that post. Does that mean that they’re potentially speaking to Eric Kendrick? Could he be headed back to Dallas at some point? That would be a very very interesting addition. Um it would be something. It would be them doing something and at this point in the season um you’re not really going to find any premium guys on the free agent market. So and Eric Kendricks, a guy that you know knows how to play the position. Um is a smart player above all else. He’s a smart player. So the communication should be there. And Eric Kendricks I think would be an very very interesting option to kind of help teach them what’s supposed to be happening because right now we really don’t have a real proven veteran. I think the veteran is is Jack Sanborn and he’s a a lower drafted or undrafted guy who’s only been in the league for a handful of these seasons. So, we need a veteran back there that can kind of talk these guys through the communication issues that they’re having. I think that’s probably the one thing that this linebacker room is missing for sure is that proven veteran. Uh Demone Clark may have to come up off that spot. I’m just letting you know. May have to come up off that spot. But, uh, I did go and look at his the rest of his IG activity just to see if he was posting anything else. And he has been posting several things, several images of different teams that he formerly played with, you know, just different stuff like that. But the one that stood out the most to me because it was something current and him wearing gear in current daytime was the cowboy helmet. But you can see he post he’s posted images of him in his Chargers gear and his Vikings gear and stuff like that. But again, the Cowboys helmet was something that was actually recent. So, something to keep an eye on right there for sure, guys. I would definitely keep an eye on that. Um, and again, this defense just needs help. This defense just needs help. We need anybody that can come in and help this defense in any kind of way. I’m not going to say no to anything. I don’t care if a guy’s old. I don’t care if he’s 50 years old on a walk or if he can cover somebody out in space. Put him out on that damn field. For real, bro. Y’all be killing me sitting here acting like beggars can be choosers. Y’all be like, “We need help.” And then somebody be like, “Hey, let’s go get this guy.” You’re like, “Ah, not him. He’s too such and such.” Like, man, shut your ass up. Any kind of help that can help is good help. I don’t know what y’all talking about. Any kind of help that can help is good help. And if Eric Kendricks can play even a smidg better than anything we got on the field right now, bring them on in, boss. It was a good pickup. That’s how y’all supposed to look at acquisitions, bro. can’t be trying to get the perfect acquisition for every acquisition. Sometimes getting a little bit better at a play area is good enough. I’m just saying. But either way, appreciate y’all for tuning in, man. Maybe Eric Hendrickx will come. Who knows? But what I do know is the defense isn’t going to have any crazy changes this upcoming week. So, we just have to we just have to pray, y’all. We just have to pray. Now go calling me, texting me, paging me, asking me am I still. Y’all use the check on me. Listen, listen, listen. I’m still them boys. Hey, I’m still boys.

Dallas Cowboys need all the help they can get and one former Pro Bowl LB is teasing a possible return to Dallas.

  1. Good evening honey, let’s get Kendricks back it couldn’t hurt he was pretty good last season, also didn’t we get Julius Woods as well❓or is he just on the practice squad, they should throw him out there as well❗️
    Thanks for the update honey❗️

  2. I need some good news today my opponent in fantasy football is basically running the entire Washington offense and he's about to score 100 million billion points on my butt

  3. I would 100% take Eric Kendrick back. He was very solid, he at least knew where he was supposed to be and has enough athleticism for pursuit. Sanborn seems to be able to diagnose, but has no athleticism to make the play.

  4. AOC, your content keeps me sane regarding this putrid excuse of a defense. Players AND coaches should be held accountable.

No game is a given with this defense.

Keep up the great work as always bro.

  5. How is Mingo getting playing time unless Jerry forces it because they used a 4th round pick to get him? TURPIN CEEDEE WITH PICKENS, FLO HAS PROVEN HIMSELF TO BE A BALLER IN A COUPLE OF GAMES AND TOLBERT IS DAKS BOY SO MY COUNT IS 5 GUYS ALREADY PLAYING IN THE OFFENSIVE SCHEME AND I DID NOT EVEN COUNT ferg at the TE position or the RBs in the pass game whos sitting for Mingo? I would like Mingo to replace Tolbert but im not sure they will do it

  6. I have no idea why we didn’t bring him back to begin with… he wasn’t breaking the bank and he didn’t play bad under zimmer with all of his teammates around him adopting a new scheme

  7. I know u like Mingo but fk that I like Ryan way better I was doin some film study yesterday and he’s reallly fkn good at WR3 Make mingo WR4 and move on from Tolbert

  8. Overshown will not help this defense enough. Lamb and Turpin will not help the defense. That's where the Cowboys need help. DE, LB and safety. Murray LB needs to go, he is out of place all the time because he can not comprehend what the offense is doing. He is a liability. James is a rookie, he will make mistakes. Last years rookie is making mental mistakes. Sam Williams has been a disappointment at DE. Bland and Diggs are getting beat on a regular basis and safeties are not playing well. Talent is part of the problem, but so are the coaches. The way this offense is playing, if we had a 25th ranked defense, we could win a lot of games, but our defense is dead last and not improving. We can't win with a defense this bad.

  9. Some of y'all need to go back and watch every game last year Kendricks was worse than Sanborn to be honest their about the same
