BREWERS POSTCAST: Milwaukee Brewers Season on the BRINK | Another QUIET Night at the Plate
This is the Brewers Post Cast, your instant game reaction for the Milwaukee Brewers, part of the Locked On Network. Your team every day. It was do or die for our Milwaukee Brewers down two games to none. And in game three, they fall to the Dodgers out there in Los Angeles. this one tonight by final score of three to one. Hello everyone and welcome in to the Locked On Brewers postcast. My name is Brandon Snyde. You can follow me on xbrandon snide. As always, thank you for making locked on brewers part of your day each and every day. Friendly reminder, wherever you guys get audio podcast, you can find the locked on brewers post as well. Apple, Google, Spotify, Amazon. We are also over on YouTube as well where we are live right now. Make sure you hit that subscribe button. Make sure you hit that thumbs up button for me. And make sure you hit that notification bell to get notified when we go live. Jacob Miserowski showing up for the Brewers tonight. Caleb Durban showing up for the Brewers tonight. We’ll talk about both of those guys’ performance and the lack thereof behind them as the Brewers once again failed offensively to get anything going for their pitching, for their defense. We’ll discuss that. And yes, you heard it at the top of there. The Brewers now trail in this series, this best of seven series. Three games to none. You can pretty much put the nail in the coffin for our Milwaukee Brewers on their 2025 season. Just one loss away from uh from that coming to fruition unfortunately. And then of course uh at the end of the show, we’ll get to your thoughts, your reaction reactions, your frustrations. I see all of you already piling on on the live YouTube chat. Can’t wait to get to uh what you guys are thinking after the 3 to1 loss for our Brewers out there in game three in LA in the National League Championship Series. But like we have have done all year long, let’s get into your scoring summary tonight brought to you by our friends over at FanDuel and by Prize Picks. Aaron Ashby getting the start today for Pat Murphy as he has going with an opener. We assumed it was going to be an opener. The debate was who it was going to be. Jose Canana meeting with the media prior to the game earlier today said he might like get some action. I would anticipate you’ll see Kintana tomorrow night. But Aaron Ashby getting the start for the Brewers and right away getting this team in a bit of trouble. Just went an inning, a third of an inning, excuse me, allowing a couple of hits and an earned run from the Dodgers. And right away in the first inning, Muki bets with a double to right field. That would score Otani, who earlier in the inning had tripled for the Dodgers to start things off against Aaron Ashby. So, right away, the Brewers were in a little bit of trouble, but that’s okay because what we’ve seen from this team all season long was they have responded and we saw that in this game in the second inning. Jake Bowers once again getting the start out there in left field for Milwaukee. has been swinging probably the best bat of the NLC so far for Milwaukee. Played a huge role in game one and with that ground rule double and getting the Brewers uh to threaten to win that game uh but unfortunately didn’t come through in game one. But Jake Bowers did come through in the second inning of this one. Tying things up with a single up the middle to center field that would score Caleb Durban who earlier in that in that inning also had a triple. So the Brewers tying things up in the second inning. Then it was Jacob Misarowski time for Milwaukee. Had come in there after just Aaron Ashby had only gotten an out in that first inning. And Jacob Miserowski settled things down and man was he really good today. Jacob Mizerowski was fantastic. We’ll talk about him and some of the things that he accomplished today, albeit in a loss for the Brewers. We’ll talk about the things that he accomplished uh from a a record standpoint uh for the Milwaukee Brewers and for Major League Baseball history. So, we’ll talk about Mizowski, but he would come in and he would settle things down. Tyler Glass now on the other side for the Dodgers also pitching a great game. And and the Brewers had opportunities in this one. Their approach at the plate a lot better. A lot more Brewers like than we’ve seen. A couple of stolen bases as well in this one. Uh but Glass would shut the Brewers down in the third and the fourth and the fifth. Uh and same would be for the Dodgers offense. And and that would take us to the turning point in this one. That brings us to the sixth inning where the Brewers were shut down and the top of the six. But the Dodgers not so much in the bottom half of the sixth inning. Time to reveal where the game was won or lost. It’s the turning point. Started off great for Mizarowski there in the sixth inning. He would strike out. Mookie Betts. Uh but that would be where it would end for Jacob Msarowski. A a a Will Smith single to left field and a Freddy Freeman walk would chase Miz out of this game. And Abner Urebe would enter. Excuse me. Let me back up there. Tommy Edmund would single to center before that would happen. Uh, and that would score the uh the go-ahead run. That would make it two to one. And then Abner Yuribe would come in in relief for Jacob Miserowski. Jacob Mizowski five total innings. Uh, just the one earned run as we had mentioned. A pretty good performance today from Miz. But Abner would come in and a a Freddy Freeman who walked earlier in the inning from Jacob Mizarowski. would score on a pickoff error from Abner Urebe. He was on third and Tommy Edmond was on first. I’m not exactly sure why Abner cared what Tommy Edmund was doing in that moment. Two outs in the inning and I I don’t really think it mattered at that moment or should have worried about who was at the plate, but Abner with a with a errant throw over to first base that would score another run and that would make things three to one. And then we would we would chase Tyler Glass now after five and two/3s. the Brewers that is. And that is where it is a little frustrating because that is what we’ve been trying to do through the course of this series and haven’t obviously been able to do it. When Blake Snell shoved for eight innings, then Yamamoto shoves for a complete game in game two. Uh talking to a lot of Dodgers insiders and beat reporters, the weak quote unquote weak part of this Dodger team, the weak link of the Dodger team is their bullpen and the Brewers unable to get anything going after Tyler Glass now would leave. He would exit five and two/3 innings pitched. He would allow three hits in just the one earned run. Just a tick below 100 pitches thrown for Glass now. 99 to be exact. Overall, I thought the Brewers did better against Glass. Now, now, anything that the Brewers do offensively, especially when they get runners in scoring position because up until today, they only had one runner in scoring position in this entire series, but they were one for seven today. The Milwaukee Brewers offense, that is, they left six guys on base. just couldn’t get the big hit. I know Jake Bowers had one there in the second inning, but they could not get anything else going beyond that. And and that was the frustrating part because they’ve had moments in this game. They haven’t had those moments in the series. They had them in this game, but unable to come through. And the Dodger bullpen, give them credit. Give the Dodger bullpen credit. As much as as bad as this Brewers offense has been been, the the Dodger bullpen doing exactly what they needed to do and we saw a handful of them. Sasaki getting the save for the Dodgers in this one with a clean ninth inning, but we we we we set out to establish that that we got to get to that bullpen. The Brewers did get to that bullpen and they were unable to to capitalize on those moments and and they fall tonight uh in LA, lose game three, now face a 3-0 deficit. It it was a uphill battle down 2 with three games out there in LA. I I think all of us are are pretty uh uh pretty confident on how this one is going to end today uh end this year for the Milwaukee Brewers as they fall out there in LA in game three tonight by a final of 3 to one. Their season now on the brink of coming to a conclusion after they lose game three out there in LA to the Dodgers. Tonight’s final 321. Not a lot of offense for the Brewers. However, without further ado, let’s get into your lockdown Brewers postcast player of the game. This is the locked on player of the game, Jacob Miserowski. Tonight for our Milwaukee Brewers, man, when they needed somebody to step up, you weren’t getting it offensively. Although, you know, we could we’ll talk about the one player who did step up tonight, but overall, nobody had stepped up for this team offensively. the pitching and the defense had been the the one constant for the Brewers. But Jacob Miserowski tonight was on a completely different level. Goes in in that first inning. Again, guys on base first and second, kind of walks into a fire, puts that fire out in that first inning, and just settles in for the rest of his outing. Five innings pitched tonight. Just one earned run. Nine strikeouts for Jacob Msarowski. a rookie record for the Milwaukee Brewers for strikeouts in a postseason game. To add to those accolades for Jacob Mizarowski, the first rookie in MLB history to strike out nine or more batters in relief in a postseason game. I thought the Miz was everything that this team needed. It was everything that this team uh at that time going down early in this game, they needed that jolt. They needed that boost of energy. Unfortunately, it didn’t translate to getting runs and getting hits. But Jacob Mizerowski today, your locked on Brewers postcast player of the game. I thought he was just absolutely awesome and it’s great to see, right? That’s something to build on going into the offseason, going into next season, and and that confidence that he can have going in that he’s pitched in. This was the Brewers do or die game, right? We can make the argument game two was as well, but game three, if you win this game, it changes the series a little bit. You obviously have to win one more out there in LA, but this was the biggest moment for the Brewers up until this season, facing a two- deficit, facing a one to nothing deficit in the first inning. And Miserowski comes in and kind of settles everything down and gave this offense a chance and and shame on the offense for once again not coming through today for this Milwaukee Brewers. Again, Bryce Terrain 0 for four. William Contras 0 for three, Christian Yelich had a measly infield single. He was one for four. Andrew Vaughn 0 for three. Just nothing unfortunately offensive offensively for the Brewers. But I will give credit to one player and maybe an honorable mention for your lockdown Brewers postcast player of the game. Caleb Durban came to play today. Caleb Durban came to play, had a walk, uh had a double, had a triple, two for three, scored the one run that the Brewers had this evening. So So credit to Caleb Durban for coming out and showing out and playing. But uh unfortunately that would be it for the Brewers. Four hits scored uh in just one run. And so unfortunately that’s it for the Milwaukee Brewers. They lose 3 to1. However, despite the three nothing deficit, despite the 3-1 loss, there will be things you’ll be waking up tomorrow talking about outside of this loss. This is what you’ll be talking about. Series, man. Obviously down three nothing. You’re frustrated in that in itself, but this pitching and this defense gave this team a chance, man. They gave this team a chance during this entire series, right? If you would have told me with that Dodger lineup, and credit to them for putting that lineup together, but if you told me that in game one you’re only going to give up two runs, I think you probably win that game if you’re a Brewers fan. If you told me in game two Freddy Palt is going to go five and two/3s, only give up three runs, I would think you’re a lot closer than a five to one loss in that game. And today, if you would have told me that Jacob Merowski is going to pitch five innings, only give up one run, I would think you have a better chance of winning that game as well. The offense did not do you any favors. But the Brewers pitching and their defense have. The Dodgers only scored 10 runs, you guys, in three games. It’s 3.3 runs per game. That That’s winnable. That’s a winnable formula for this Milwaukee Brewers team. Now, the bad side, we didn’t really mention it. Jackson Turo leaving this game due to a hamstring. That right hamstring once again he hurt it on on a swing with a with a foul ball and I anticipate he’s not playing tomorrow in the Brewers uh you know could be their regular could be their final game of the season. But the Brewers pitching and their defense did everything in this series to win it. The offense plain and simple let you down once again. Nine hits in three games for this Milwaukee Brewers offense. bright side, the bullpen starting pitching, the defense held up their end of the bargain. There’s no doubt about it. You only allow this Dodger team with multiple Hall of Famers, multiple all-stars, multiple MVPs, maybe one of the best players to ever play the game and show Otani, you allow that offense to only score 10 runs in three games. I think every single one of us would sign up for that. Every single one of us would say, “Yes, I’ll take that.” because that means that if we can, you know, scrape a couple runs across the play, we’ll we’ll be in good shape. Just simply wasn’t the case. A a very frustrating series offensively without a doubt. The silver lining for it is that Jacob Miserowski has looked fantastic. I know Chad Patrick gave up a home run to Freddy Freeman in game one. He’s looked great. Abner Uribe has showed out. I know he didn’t have a great uh performance in this series, but overall in the postseason has looked apart. You got your young core put together and obviously the locked under Brewers postcast player of the game. We already mentioned him a few times now, but Misarowski given this team everything he could have today to get the victory. The offense once again outside of Caleb Durban completely letting them down. The Brewers lose to the Dodgers in game three, a final uh and now face a 3-0 deficit in this best of seven series as we always do. Win, win, lose or draw. We’re going to get to your thoughts. We’re going to get to your reactions, your frustrations and and your strong opinions. We begin with every day. Cody, another pathetic and ugly display of batting attempts by the Brewers. Miz pitches his butt off and gets a thanks for nothing. Single runs aren’t going to cut it out. Stay classy LA for booing TR. Yeah, I didn’t understand why the LA fans were booing Jackson Trio. He he had come into this series with a hamstring injury. So, the fact that he was even playing was was awesome, but he clearly goes out. He could bar I mean he had to w li limp off of the field. He could barely put any pressure on that hamstring and the LA fans were booing him. I didn’t really understand that. Um it is what it is, you know. I’m not going to I’m not going to rag on him, but it is what it is. And I I think that just it happened, right? Like it’s an injury. It happened. I don’t know about booing him, but yeah. I mean to to Cody’s other point, Miz gave you everything. Offense failed you. Taylor over on YouTube, imagine not making any moves during the deadline, and this is the product. See, I’m going to see that a lot, but you you’re I don’t want to say you’re wrong because they didn’t make him at the deadline. Doesn’t mean they didn’t make a move, Taylor. Or this Brewers team being in the NLDS without Andrew Vaughn. That was a move they made. It just didn’t happen at the deadline, but that was a move that they made. Andrew Vaughn was a big part of that 11game win streak in July. Andrew Vaughn was a big part of that 14game win streak in August. Andrew Vaughn was a big part of helping this team get to 97 wins and win the division. Quinn Prester didn’t make the move at the deadline. This team won 19 games when Quinn Prester made an appearance or started a ball game. Taylor, that was a trade acquisition. It didn’t necessarily happen when fans wanted it to at the deadline, but not a lot of moves that were made at the deadline really moved the needle for anybody if you want if you’re going to be honest. And I understand I understand that’s a a frustrated talking point. I get it. I understand this team just lost and they haven’t done anything offensively and that’s why I I get it. I understand it and I appreciate you tuning in. But this team made moves. It just didn’t happen when everybody wanted it to or expected it to. Everyday Isaiah with the positivity saying this team is never ever going to go to a World Series ever. I I don’t know if I can really I don’t know. I Yeah, I mean maybe you’re right. I hope you’re not right, but it does seem it does seem like that might be the reality. Hopefully, it’s not. Catch over on YouTube. Ashby starter. Really? Ube throwing the ball with two outs. That’s it, folks. I didn’t really understand. Ashby has pitched. I think in every game this postseason, but one maybe. Somebody can correct me if I’m wrong. I believe it feels like it. At least it feels like almost every game Ashb has been out there. I get it. I would have just personally I would have just rolled out Miz and I know hindsight is 2020 and I I get all that. I would have just let Miz go out there. You know, he today too with Miz and I didn’t really mention it um in the player of the game thing, but he pitched today as opposed to just throwing the ball if that makes sense, right? Like usually you see him you saw him in that Cubs game where he comes out and he throws 104 and and he’s just trying to gas everybody. It felt like in this game he was pitching. He was locating pitches. He was going off speed. He was throwing his heat. He was he was pitching to another level today that we’ve we haven’t seen. And that’s a great development if you’re a Milwaukee Brewers fan. Certainly with the with uh with with the future of Jacob Mizowski and what you’re going to need uh him to do going forward. Another comment. Brewers fan with a poke trainer. Paul says, “Does not matter who you bench. If you can’t hit, you’re not going to win no matter how good pitching is.” And and for the most part, pitching is going to trump hitting. It’s just in the postseason, it’s going to. But you got to be able to do more than nine hits in three games. You got to do more than one for seven with runners in scoring position, which today was the their the only other game which they had a runner in scoring position minus game one where they had an opportunity to get that one and and they failed to do it. But again, that’s what the reality of this is, right? Like you got to be able to hit in those spots when those runners are there and you got to be able to help your pitching out when you can. John over on YouTube, I don’t want to hear about the salary cap. We knew who we were facing and the offense completely disappeared. I’m with you. I’m not going to hear about this salary cap because these are two teams if I understand Otani Betts Freeman, Kiki Hernandez. I Tioscar Hernandez. I like I know that’s that’s a heck of a lineup. The Brewers only allowed 10 runs you guys in three games. Like they were right there. You gave up a few runs off of some good hits, right? Some a Freddy Freeman home run. Max Monzy home run. Like, get it. You threw away today a run with Admiral Rebe trying to go from to first and pick off the runner for whatever reason. You kind of played to you played down. The Brewers played down to this team. This this team on paper on a on a salary cap. Sure, they’re better. That’s not an excuse as to why you’ve lost the last few games. They haven’t been noticeably better. like they they just haven’t. You allowed them to to to win. Game one, you let them off the hook, right? You had them there in that in that bottom of the ninth inning. You couldn’t come through with a big hit. That was a big moment. Game two, give them credit. They had big they had big moments. They had big hits. Game three today, I mean, it was a a a one a one-1 game for the majority of this game up until that sixth inning and then that was it. And then you get into that bullpen and you’re unable to get anything going offensively for the Brewers. And that was it. That was it. uh and they fall today in game three out there in LA in the National League Championship Series by a final of 3 to one. Now face a 3-0 hole in the NLCS. We’ll talk about game four tomorrow. As always, my thanks to each and every one of you. Thank you guys for always making locked on Brewers Postcast part of your day each and every day. Thanks to all the Cubs fans that are actually in the live stream right now as well. I’m glad you guys had time in the offseason to come hang out. So, thank you for tuning in as well. Remember, wherever you guys get audio podcast, you can get this podcast as well. Apple, Google, Spotify, Amazon, wherever you get audio podcast, you can get the Locked on Brewers postcast as well. Game four set for tomorrow. After the last out, regardless of what happens, you know, we’ll be right here. We’ll be talking about it. My name is Brandon Snide. Once again, you can follow me on uh Twitter, Brandon Snide. A tough one today for the Brewers, falling three to one. But as always, win, lose, or draw, as we’ve done all year, baby. It is always go Brewers. Have a good one everyone. See you.
The Milwaukee Brewers dropped Game 3 of the NLCS in Los Angeles, falling 3–1 to the Dodgers. Rookie Jacob Misiorowski gave the Brewers a solid outing, throwing five innings and allowing just one earned run. But once again, Milwaukee’s bats couldn’t find a spark — managing only four hits on the night. With the loss, the Brewers now trail the Dodgers 3–0 in the best-of-seven series.

So much for regular season sweep.
Good thing you moved on from Counsell, he was definitely the one holding you back. 😂😂😂
E.S.A.D BREWERS!!!😂😂😂….DODGERS GONNA DRAG YOU DOWN TO THE RAVINE AND EXECUTE YOU TOMORROW!!!LOLZZZ…..LFGDODGERS🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉😂😂😂
Brewers need a beer!
Put respect on the Dodgers bullpen.
The turning point was right after mound visit with Miz and he tries to be cute with the pitch clock to try and disrupt Freddy’s timing. It backfires spectacularly when Freddy says oh that’s what we’re doing, hold my beer. Miz screwed his own timing and pace.
Brewers going to win like 9-2 tomorrow just to be annoying lmao. Great season boys, it was memorable!
I hope history is not repeating it's self it goes any team that beats the Brewers in the playoffs goes on to win the World Series goes back to 1982. There is only one way to break this curse. The question is what will it take to get the Brewers to the World Series an win a World Series what's it going to take
There is no share in loosi to a great team
Shame
Hey Lilwaukee hold your 3rd L! Uecker rolling in his grave lmao! 😂
L-L-L! 😅
remember when the brewers were the best team in baseball….
If Miz had started game 1, whole situation would've been different.
do not blame your offense, this is a dominant Dodgers SP staff
Dodgers are doing what they suppose to do with a billion dollar payroll.
I'm no expert but telling the opposing team what your plans are (wait for their bullpen) doesn't sound smart 😂
Bottom line to the series has been the superior Dodger pitching.
Dodgers fan here.. it always surprises me with these close games that it's a game of inches. The dodgers could have lost despite the great pitching.
But winning breeds winners
Dodgers fan.
I was really worried in facing the Brewers after going 0-6 in regular season.
So, what is your view on why Brewers played well to sweep series 0-3, 0-3?
I understand Dodger’s starters had some injuries.
Dodgers have built a powerhouse and will contend for WS for years. The regular season injuries gave a false impression. Dodgers healthy now and a completely different team. Milwaukee can only try to show heart and win one tomorrow.
this postseason was over after Dodgers won game 2 in Philly, that series was going to determine the champs
Brewers were barely beat in the games. However, Dodgers are all healthy now, but still not in high gear. Ohtani is in his first slump of the entire season at the wrong time.
Brew crew are a disgrace
There's ALWAYS some money team that wins it.
Talked out that in the regular season then saying y’all would beat us in the playoffs 😂😂😂 sweep 🧹 waste of a season go BLUE BABY
🧹 🧹 🧹 🧹 tough luck brewers. Maybe next year
Brewers shot their wad against the Cubs. That was their world series. Meanwhile, it's the Dodgers standing in the way of both, who probably laugh at such a little internecine squabble because they know they're on a different level.
As a Dodger fan, I like your commentator better than our options.
Ya'll had a good year and I hope you hold your heads up 😊
Fly the L
– instant karma
– racist karens
– brewers losing in the NLCS
This postseason has everything
Brewers had it all set up on a platter and completely folded. But hey MLB got a few extra Japanese fans. The ratings will be great and that’s all that matters
The Brewers are getting owned by those d@mn Dodgers.
As a Cleveland fan was rooting for the Brewers on behalf of teams that can't just buy a Championship like LA
I’ve been watching the Dodgers since the 70s- this is by far their best team. They have put it all together, they are running at 100% in every facet of the game-offense, defense, pitching, front office, everything. The regular season is a whole different sport than the postseason.
winning a game out of 4 won't change the complexion of this series. and i don't think the brewers will win tomorrow.
Fly the L day 3
Dodgers have 4 aces!
💙💙GO DODGERS💙💙
Good season brewers fans. Dodgers pitching is stacked, I don’t think a team in mlb can hit their starters at their best.
The brewers are feeling what us Dodger fans felt when they swept us twice during the season
