“they’re insignificant.” – Mike Tomlin, when asked after halftime how they stop Chase and Higgins.

  1. Ain’t no way Mike Tomlin is saying something that crazy. If these words even came out of his mouth, they must’ve been spun out of context.

  2. I don’t remember what else was on his mind but he was focused on something else when he said this, basically like their first half performance was insignificant compared to whatever PIT was dicking up.

  3. He didn’t say “insignificant.” He said “less significant,” because their focus coming out of halftime would be protecting the ball and stopping the run.

Tomlin doesn’t shit talk players. We could have browning out there with 3 picks and no TD’s and he’d still have something nice to say about him.

  4. Steelers fans here.

Yall embarassed us enough as it is. 490 yards of total offense against the most expensive defense in the NFL.

And you all were already the big time underdogs.

    Our humiliation is complete.

You don’t need to take things out of context/fabricate things to try to act like Tomlin was disrespecting your WRs.

  5. Hopefully, Tomlin ties Marvin’s record of 7 straight playoff losses this season, if they even make the playoffs.

  6. What an absolute prick. I wasn’t really listening to him because why would I and my 11 year old son asked me “dad did he just say Chase and Higgins are insignificant? What a jerk”
    Good job my boy

  7. Here’s the actual quote and link to video of it:

[Tomlin talking about how they need to stop the run and protect the ball]

“And what about Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins? What adjustments can you make there?”

“It’s less significant. It’s the fact that they’re on schedule. Um, we gotta stop the run man and put ‘em behind the sticks. And that’ll be less significant.”

  8. Not really accurate.  They literally brought specific people on to their squad to defend those two during our divisional matchups.  That is a huge level of respect.
