Astros plan to work him as a starting pitcher also. Also note this is a major league deal
Guy chucks, I like it

Sorry in advance about the elbow, Nate. Looking forward to your 7 starts of ~5.2 innings and 2 ER ball before I never see you again.
This guy was great in MLB the Show a few years ago. 😂
Start icing the elbow now
A nice can we fix him candidate. Just need about 45 more SP to get us through June.

Did we find another lump of coal that is going to turn into a diamond?
The physical for pitchers consists of holding a mirror close to the mouth. Upon seeing fog on the mirror proving the breath of life, pitcher passes the physical and is signed.
He was most recently a top 10 prospect in all of baseball in 2021. Sits upper 90’s touches 101 on his FB with good rise. Huge guy at 6’6” 250. Slider is good and curve looks average. I wonder if the plan is to have him develop his sinker or changeup a bit more to be a reliable starter. This guy has all the makings of an ace if he can get it together. But we’ve seen that before with Forrest Whitley…
We already got diesel, this guy looks like he will be unleaded
Better stuff than George Costanza and that played out ok 🤷🏻♂️
