Andrés Giménez has turned it UP in the ALCS 📈 (5 hits, 2 home runs, 6 RBI in last two games 🔥)
Corners are pulled in here with the nine hitter Jimenez up. Here’s a high-fly ball off of the bat of Jimenez that’s carrying well. Roz turns and watches it fly. It’s the nine hitter Andres Jimenez of all people giving Toronto the swing that it desperately needed. It’s tied at two. Well, we always talk about in a series when things aren’t going well, what happens to flip the script? What shocking moment or what moment turns it momentum? And you could look to this homer where you don’t see many out of the ninth spot as being one of those moments if the series were to turn. There’s a sinker that catches the middle part of the plate and he’s ready for it and went up there with a plan. I don’t know if it was to launch, but he did. Only seven home runs all year. First one of the postseason ties game three. Andre Jimenez, whose two-run homer in the third kick started this whole night for the Blue Jays. Bounce under Suarez and into left field for a base hit to open this inning. Their rhythm when they get hits and get on base. They just do it better than anybody else. Another base hit for Jimenez who came into this game hitless in the series. He’s got three of them tonight. Jay’s trying to ensure that this series goes back north of the border with a tie and run at second. Nobody out. The eighth pitch, a high line drive to right field. Kenzone’s going back. It’s good again. It’s Jimenez out of the ninth spot, sparking the Jays for the second night in a row. Lightning strikes twice. A jolt from an unlikely source. Two to one Toronto. It is a carbon copy of the third inning from yesterday. A leadoff double from the eight hitter. A home run from Jimenez. This one spun. And when it spins and you see the big circle, the seams not tight together. That is a recipe for a launched baseball. John Schneider said our whole dugout when he had that swing yesterday was like, “Oh, wow.” Slapped by injuries this year. Up the middle he goes. He’s knocked in another. Shaw retreated. Now he’s going to head for the plate. Here comes the throw from Rodriguez. It’s not in time. Two-run single for Andre Jimenez. And he’s knocked in four of Toronto Z. These last two games have been a clinic. How to hit with runners on.
Andrés Giménez has been on a tear in the last two games of the ALCS, going 5-for-8 at the plate with two home runs and six RBI for the Blue Jays.

ANDRES
He's so cool with it. How could you not get jacked up if you were a jay.
Andres has completely made up for the absence of Bo Bichette. The only difference is where they hit in the batting order. It is not an overstatement that Gimenez would be an early ALCS MVP favourite. Not to get ahead of myself, of course. Go Jays!
Every single part of the Jays offence is dangerous.
Jays are looking great
