Phoenix Suns All-Access Episode 1: Laying The Groundwork
We’re going to be as aggressive as we can all night long for 48 minutes. [Applause] Please don’t even give him these pictures and footage. Up and down. Hurry up. I’m over. Up over. There we go. Bring it in real quick. Bring it in real quick. Here we go. Here we go. Transition D down there. Transition offense. All right. We’re going to build on We want to play fast. Training camp in today’s NBA is where you lay your base principles on both offense and defenses. We’re a nearest man takes it out on the make. We want to play incredibly fast. It’s the first time that the entire team is in the building at the same time. Here [Applause] [Music] we go. [Music] Let’s be loud, Gray. I’m low. I’m in the gap. I’m low, man. It’s going to be loud. It’s going to be rowdy. And it was great, you know, competing. But, you know, it’s day one. We want to do that midway through the season coming in practice. You know what I’m saying? That’s that’s what we want to be as consistent. We don’t want to have highs and lows. I’m going to go four. It was great having it day one. Now it’s time to continue from day two and all forward to end the season. I enjoyed both of it. I enjoy watching our guys coach. Our staff coach. I think we have a bunch of great teachers which I’m very proud of. Pretty good for that first time. Pretty good. Respect, fellas. Go work on three. One, two, three. Jesse Mermis, he’s about connecting the people in the building. Connecting our players. Connecting our players to the people in the building globally. He’s a really good basketball coach and basketball mind that has seen a lot of things. So, you might end up having to pick a point guard, right? So, you want to read the floor. You don’t want to just sprint to the rim every time. When you know DC and you’re around DC, you can’t help but smile. He brings a general enthusiasm every single day as a person. He will, you know, help our culture, help our environment with his positive spirit. Brian Randall and someone that you know has been here before. Now he’s really going to help oversee our defense. CA is a big role in collecting data from our entire building, putting plans together and helping our player development group. So lit coming from the G-League has a special knack of knowing how the G- League functions. We’ll use him as a G-League liaison that helps us connect the two groups for when our guys are with the Valley Suns. You got pressure on the rim to roll. Simple, right? All right, boys. Big rocks in general is like number one thing is got have to go out there and compete all out all the time. [Applause] It’s a skill in the NBA to be able to play hard. [Applause] [Music] This roster is built that way um to go out and compete. That’s the biggest rock that we will hopefully bring with us here early in the preseason and then as we do it day after day after day just becomes something that we do. Let’s go. One three. One, two, three. [Applause] Come on. Let’s go. Let’s go. Lock in. Let’s go. Colin here. We’re going to zip you up, Colin. Got to get him open up. Let’s go home. Go home. Say hello. Come on. Hey, game right here. Come on. Come on. By yourself, dog. By yourself. We I’m here with you. Yeah, we’ve been getting after it. I think the guys we brought in fit that that culture perfectly. Uh we’re competing. We’re guarding and I think that’s more than anything just that competition level makes us all better. So, who who are you guarding? Picking up. Yeah. Royce or Kobe comes off the ball screen. We’re blitzing. You and the big are blitzing. Everything else is regular. Yeah. Shar. Come on now. Get a stop. Hands up. Yeah. Look at Yeah. Hit two of them. Come on. Come on. Get to Good job. Good job, boy. It’s a physical brand of basketball that these guys want to play and enjoy playing. Oh, okay. Perfect. [Applause] Reach. Reach for here. Get up. Get up. [Applause] [Applause] He has that competitive fire that raises the level of everyone around him, makes everyone else better. And uh he’s a good teammate. He’s a guy you want on your side. You see it collectively happen. The whole group joins in in the party. Let’s see. But here we go. It work. We got to be the best team in terms of communication, uh, connectiveness. You know, one guy makes the shot, but the whole group feels like they’re a part of it and then that spirit carries over to the defense and then you get another stop and then it carries into the offense and that’s just the wheel that it goes and the momentum that you can create when you have a group of guys that enjoy playing this way. Get ball. Get ball. Stay up. Stay up. You low. Stay down. Stay down. Stay down. You over here, Colin. Stay up, Colin. Stay up, Colin. Wide. Wide. Wide. Yeah. So, we wanted to establish an identity, if you will. We want to play, you know, as coaches have talked about, we want to play to the limit. So, when we all have this mindset of like, I want to guard my guy. I don’t want to be scored on. I don’t want to be the one that let the team down. I think that’s a great mindset for all of us to have. We’re going to be as aggressive as we can all night long for 48 minutes. Man, you need to put him in movies, bro. They’re rock Johnson. I try to spend time with every other player. Alen was also on Ryan, too, cuz they were here last year. They were in my shoes last year. Please don’t. Please don’t like Please don’t even give him these pictures or footage like like he don’t deserve it. Up and down. Where you at? Feel good, man. Getting better. Man, I used to be an actor growing up. I used to call myself Denzel Washington. I had some water. I’m great. Fake spray. Feels good though. Good views. Good vibes. Trying to save it, man. Look a little bit the other way. Yep. Yep. That way. Yeah. I like it. That’s a little nice. Was it this one? How nice is this? Huh? This is a great shoot. We’re done. Let’s go. I don’t think hard work is just something that you learn. I think it’s it’s it’s either in you or not. You know, that’s how we want to run. That’s how we want to operate um from top down. The team in general is just a hard playing group of individuals. Um, that’s how they are built. That’s how they’re wired. That’s what they do on a day-to-day basis. [Music] [Music] There’s no shortcut to hard work. When your best player is a hard worker, I think it’s pretty easy for everyone to see it. And then, you know, you have to follow Good luck, G. You stay in that spot. I like that spot right there. I’m over. I’m over. I’m back. Get out. Get out. Book comes to work every day. He has an intention of what he wants to get done and he does it. And um when he speaks, everyone listens. Good day. Good day. It’s a mental grind today. Take care of your body. When someone’s that thoughtful, has seen as much as he’s seen accomplished as much as he’s accomplished at a young age, those young guys and the veteran guys are going to follow. What up? You know, I have unfinished business here and I know how much it would mean to to this city and this organization. So, you know, that’s my job. media day year two. As a leader, it’s my responsibility of being a franchise player that I have to communicate to to everybody, you know, the importance of basketball in this town and, you know, how serious we take it. You can just feel the excitement of the fans and the community that this is, you know, they love basketball. [Applause] That energy is needed. You know, again, doesn’t matter what night of the week it is. When you go out there, it doesn’t hurt to know that you have 17,000 people behind you. [Applause]

Pumped for this season
LFG Suns fans!!!!
Oso is going to be another coach on the floor.
Suns arena use to hold 19,000 fans. Now itโs just under 18,000
what shoes are those 0:03??
Is 50 games too much to ask? I don't think we will get out worked in most games. And the recent PG addition Jared Butler proved to be the real deal floor generator along side Goodwin and Gillespie. I would have really liked to see how Jalen Green fits with this team as I know his speed and versatility can be another game changer or eventually become a good trade piece. My hope is he figures it out and becomes a 20/5/5/3 (pts, reb, ast, and steals)
Iโm loving the new suns!!๐ Their gonna win the chip this year ๐ฎ
Having hope for AZ sports teams did not age well in recent years.

Great job on this, Suns Media! I am pumped for this season. What a difference a year makes. Let's go!
Bruh I canโt express how much I love this new team, the rooks really impress me with their attitude and approach towards the game. I really think we struck gold with all 3 of our rooks tbh !!
They play 82. Why do you want only 50?
Still waiting for that fan fest video to drop ๐ ๐ ๐
Appreciate having a team that cares about playing defense and not making sure we keep X player's numbers as efficient as we can.
Merci
Phoenix stand the fuck up. Itโs gonna be a hell of a season. Letโs fuel our boys with our loudness and energy. Letโs go Suns! In 4
