NFL Live reacts to Tua Tagovailoa calling out his Dolphins teammates 👀
I think it starts with the leadership in in helping articulate that for the guys and then what we’re expecting out of the guys, right? We’re expecting this. Are we getting that? Are we not getting that? We have guys showing up to player only meetings late, guys not showing up to player only meetings. Like there there’s a lot that goes into that. Do we have to make this mandatory? Do we not have to make this mandatory? So, so it it’s it’s a lot of uh it’s a lot of things of of that nature um that we got to get cleaned up and it starts with the little things like that. As the franchise quarterback, that’s not the forum to displace that. I think he knows that now. I I I do honestly believe it was not um there’s no ill intention, but Heavy is the crown of being a franchise quarterback. What I do know is that he’s directly communicated with um a lot of guys. I’ve got a lot of things to worry about. Um and uh one of them is not those those comments um and where our team uh is lying after that. Uh you were to his teammate J. I mean is it the point that he said it publicly because that seemed to be what Mike McDaniel was saying or is the point what’s really happening with the Dolphins? I I think a lot of guys, you’ve heard former players weigh in on this. Tulua was wrong in this situation to address it that way after a game. Me being a former teammate of Tua, I think what I’ve seen is this is a guy that came in the league. Brian Flores was his head coach. He didn’t perform well and really lost some confidence and was down on himself. When McDaniel came in, you kind of saw a rebirth of two. One that me as a former teammate was very proud of his development off the field, but also on the field. I think there’s a certain amount of pressure that comes when you have that success and even more when it comes to the payday and when you become that franchise quarterback that Mike McDaniel is talking about. We’ve seen on multiple occasions this year to attempt to call his teammates out publicly. We saw it with Tyreek Hill. We saw it now after they lost to the Los Angeles Chargers. I think for him leadership is being who you are and leading in a way that you’re comfortable with. Guys see that as authentic and they buy into it. I think for tour it right now, you’re trying to find a way. You’re not having a success, so you’re like, “All right, I got to call guys out. I have to do this. I have to do that.” You don’t. You just have to be yourself and lead in a form or fashion that you’re completely comfortable with. And guys will see that and they’ll admire that and they’ll want to follow you. Heavy is the head that wears the crown. That’s what Mike McDaniel was saying. Yeah. And obviously every quarterback’s word is going to be scrutinized as it should be. When you fire a head coach, oftent times teams are going to swing to the other side of the spectrum, right? They fired Brian Flores not because he wasn’t doing a good job. His winning percentage is right in line, if not better than Mike McDaniels as the Dolphins head coach when you take away that one tanking season in Miami, but he was fired because he was too hard on the players. But just call it what it is, right? The culture he set down there was one in which he held players to a high level of accountability in Miami. The power of positivity ruled for Mike McDaniel really well early on when things are going great and they’re just bombing away left and right. Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Wadd, thousand plus yard seasons. One of the major concerns I’ve had since early in this Mike McDaniel tenure is when things aren’t going so well, RC, who is the leader, who’s the dog in this locker room, whether it’s a coach or whether it’s a player that when the going gets tough, can rally the troops? Because it certainly feels like when the going gets tough in Miami, a lot of the pointing is not done with a thumb. It’s all done with the finger saying, “Could have been better there, could have been better there. It’s all good. We’re one and five here, but you know something, we’re going to find a way to get through this.” I haven’t seen a lot of mental toughness from this team. This goes back to when the team went to Kansas City two years ago in that bitter league cold playoff game and basically didn’t show up. Yeah. I mean, listen, Mike McDaniel is going to be who he is, right? Mike McDaniel can only be who they hired him to be, who he’s been made to be. And he’s a coach that makes the players feel good. He’s a coach that feels more like a teammate than a coach from the standpoint of an authoritative figure. But we all know it’s the job of the players to take the culture that the coach is trying to implement and utilize that to be the best that you can possibly be as a cohesive group. Tua Tong of Aloa has never been the player to come out and call out his teammates. He’s never been the player to speak publicly about what’s going on in the locker room. And what I’m seeing as he’s trying to find himself, he only talks about what other players do. He never says me. He never says I. He talked about it starting with leadership and then said all the things that the people outside of himself aren’t doing correctly. Well, what aren’t you doing correctly to a tongue of Allah? When are you getting to the meeting? And when you’re in those meetings, how are you speaking to the players around you? When you get on the practice field, what level of accountability do you hold yourself to? It all starts with the head. It all starts with the guy that calls the shots. And that’s to a tongue of Aloy. And from what I’ve seen from him and the way that he’s conducted himself this year, he is in no way gaining the respect of those players in the locker room. Uh doesn’t look like he’s having fun playing or being around football outside of a moment here or there since 2023. There’s very little happiness that is attached to Tua in football right now. Very little joy that’s attached to Tua in football right now. And I do think they’re at a moment when Tua off of his comments, it’s that fine line, guys, between holding yourself and people accountable and pointing fingers to to RC and in Field’s point and losing does this. We’ve all been a part of losing locker rooms in the NFL. I’ll go back to two or three weeks ago. We were doing the Monday Night Football game and Anthony Weaver, their defensive coordinator, was talking about the opening drive or two that they had against Buffalo and he said, “Buffalo went up and down the field. the defense came to the sideline and there was a b bunch of infighting, a bunch of fingerpointing and so it doesn’t seem like this is a one-off situation. It doesn’t seem like this is living on its own. It does feel because of the losses and everything that there’s a lot of well you should do it this way and you should do it that way and I think Mike McDaniels trying to keep it all together. I’ll have Tua is back here. I I I know Tua a little bit. I know the people that are around Tua a little bit. I think Tu is trying to do everything he can to try to get this ship writed. I don’t know if they have the talent there to do that, let alone having everybody fully bought in it. This is what losing does and it’s it causes a lot of fingerpointing if your culture is not rock hard. And as Adam Sher joins us once again, what can you tell us about the state of the Dolphins organization right now? Well, everybody sees it, Hannah, and now you have to begin to wonder with the trade deadline approaching three weeks from tomorrow if they would be willing to part ways with some of their veterans. That would make sense for a team that’s not winning where Tuono Boa is calling out teammates and their leadership after a loss like that to the Chargers. Now, you wonder if and when this team will act and trade some of the players. I think that couple of the players that other teams have been eyeing, pass rushers, defensive ends, Bradley Chub, Jaylen Phillips, would one of them attract enough from another team that Miami could be enticed to dealing one of their defensive ends? I think that’s what you’re now on to in Miami. Yes, there are a lot of issues that this organization has to and will sort through, but one of the next issues will be who do they keep and who do they trade. Heat. Heat. [Music] [Applause] [Music]

Too many concussions.
IT should be clear by now that Coach (cough) McDaniel is not capable of instilling a competitive winning culture. All this other stuff is trickle down..
But why do you suck tau
This man isn’t a leader he throws all his faults on his teammates you would never see this from Eli Peyton Tom Brady Bree’s rivers Rodgers etc crazy
Tua has been feeling himself ever he said “show me the money” to that Miami crowd lol
Tua has kids? Who knew, he acts like a fairy.
Look at his eye black? Prayers aren't helping you. Explain why God or Jesus isn't making YOU play better. Typical Christian.
They aren’t doing anything as long as Tua is qb
Tua has no leadership skills himself. A big mouth and now is not a team player.
I’m a Broncos fan but you ever see Herbert after a loss. I need to do better even when the offensive line goes down. Never throws teammates under the bus. People say he’s boring but you need no bulletin board material from your QB and Tua doing this on a regular basis.
Why is it the coach’s job to make sure players go to PLAYER ONLY meetings
Hey Tua YOU are the QB and “leader” for the team. DO NOT throw teammates under the bus. I noticed that the great QB’s always said it was their mistakes not the others.
He needs to own his poor play. You can't throw three interceptions and point fingers.
The thing that’s most alarming is no one is addressing the fact McDaniels clearly is on SOMETHING.
Tuna better wear that extra big helmet this week if he know what I know
Coach need to chill off them Xanax
The franchise qb is supposed to be able to handle the pressure. Take accountability for yourself first.
Don Shula would never stand for shenanigans like this. Danny Marino wouldn't either.
You guys got to keep practicing until you get it right – we don't need to hear the blame game !
He’s a creep.
GET RID OF, GET RID OF CHRIS GRIER ONCE AND FOR ALL!!!!!!!!!
I told youhewas a dies ease
Isn’t that the ESPN fantasy guy 😂😂😂
I think they need to trade Tua for shedeur
seeing ryan makes me think this will be race bait segment again
