Padres Power Struggle? Greupner vs. Preller Rumors Heat Up

Uh, and that AJ Prowler was going to get a contract extension by the end of the month, but they had to go through some things to talk about day-to-day operations because, hey, AJ Prowler is a little bit of a maverick. He’s not going to always travel with the team. He’s going to want to go down watch the double A team or he’s going to want to go up the coast and watch a high school baseball prospect. Uh, you got to let this guy, if he’s going to be your head of baseball operations and general manager, you can’t put handcuffs on him. you let him work, okay? He’s shown that he’s a worker. He’s not a guy that’s just taking a big paycheck and sitting on his rear end like a lot of people. This guy wants to win. And then on the other side, you got the business uh guy Grouper. Uh he don’t like Prowler. I know that. Okay, that that’s been pretty much most people know that. And so when Peter Sidler died, he was the fair, you know, AJ was the fair-haired son of Peter Sidler. And now Peter’s no longer there. And Peter played a part in resigning Machado and wanting to bring in Bogarts. He was a big proponent of bringing in Bogarts, but now that safety net for AJ is not there. John Sidler knows nothing about baseball. Okay. And we haven’t heard John Sidler step to the mic other than being with Mark Grant and uh Donald. He he did an interview. That’s the only time we’ve heard him.
