Vancouver Canucks at Chicago Blackhawks | FULL Shootout Highlights – October 17, 2025

Tabbo Terrain is going to lead things off. He’s 10 for 26 in his career. And Lincoln flashed out the right pad in the blocker to steer that puck to the corner. Just patience. Talked about that. Got to make more of a move there. Langlin didn’t buy the shoulders. Elias Patterson, first shooter for Vancouver. 13 for 37 in his career. He’s out to the right. He’s in with a de and hit the crossar. Patient, wasn’t he? Got the goalie down, but the puck stayed out. Had an extra move at the tail end. And Spencer Knight’s down at this point. I thought he had him, but the puck just moves up on edge. A little back stick handle and the shot. Here’s Connor Bernard, second shooter for the Hawks. In on Lincoln and stopped by Lankin and this time to the left pad. Bernard’s trying to open up Lanken and pushing him back into the crease. Quick feet, slow down, and then try to go five hole. Conor doesn’t get there. Connor Garland trying to break the ice for the Canucks in round two. He’ll move in off the left [Applause] and he’s stopped by Spencer Knight. Knight was crouching down but kept the glove right at hip level. Garland’s trying to go just under the glove and it goes off the right pad. Uh left P. Frank Day one for two in shootouts in his brief career. Stopped by Lakinan and the Canucks have a chance to win it in round three with Jake De Brusk on his birthday. Nazar same sort of thing trying to pull Lankan across but Kevin Lankan in good balance. See the shuffle with the right pad to Brusk with speed trying to end the game. Hit the crossbar under side of the bar and it just stayed out. What a close call, but this will go to round four. I like the speed aspect. Look at how deep Knight ends up being in. This is a little flick of the wrist, but doesn’t get the bounce. Ryan Zado in round four. Lankin stayed with him. He’s got good hands in tight. Tries this last little stick handle the forehand and doesn’t elevate it. because Lankin took away that portion of the net with a blocker. Brock Besser his chance to win it. [Music] Scores Kevin Lankin at one end, Brooks at the other. And the Canucks are two for two to start this trip. Both games trailing two nothing after one. This one goes to a shootout and Brock Besser wins it at round four. Well, the comeback Canucks get it done in Chicago. Besser the shooter does just that. Leans into this snapper. Knight can’t catch up to it. And it’s good night for Chicago. And way to go Canucks. Brock Besser his second career shootout gamedeciding goal. He’s 6 for 25 in his career. Now, it doesn’t go into the ledger as a goal on the season, but he’s already got three of those in the first five games. [Music]

  1. The refs gave the Canucks many chances to win it in reg with penalties. And that goal should of counted. He was poking for the puck and not the pad and barely touched the pad.. And I'm a Canucks fan. Also, after 10 games, if Petey doesn't start to get points, trade him or bench him or scratch him. There are right now 5 players on Canucks with more points than him.
