What was that like your first game here in South Philly? Uh it was great. Um first time, like you say, first time playing in South Philly. So I had an amazing time, man. Appreciated it, dog. You’re not quite sure how your game’s going to measure up. What did you learn tonight about yourself? Uh, I mean I mean I feel like I feel like I’ve been known this, but you know, I can just play with anybody on the floor, man. Um, you know, it was great to see Joe back out there. You know, it felt great to be on the floor with him. Um, Tyrese, everybody. So, I’m looking forward to this year, man. But, like, overall, man, it’s it just feel great to be out there with my guys. It looked like it. We We caught you and Joel at the end of the game sitting on the bench together. We hope that he was not telling you about popcorn in your car. It looked like you guys were having a good conversation. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That’s a great guy, man. Tell me a little bit about your time in college. Everybody comes from there. Everyone has a different experience. What was playing for Coach Drew and Baylor? And how did that prepare you for what you’re up going up against here in the league? Yeah. Yeah, Coach Drew prepared me a lot. Um, you know, I was also out there with, you know, two other guards, another guard. um had to play off ball, you know, just out there. I had to guard. Nothing was nothing was given to me out there. Um I had to go out there and earn it. Um and that’s what I love about Cruz Drew, man. Um kept it real with me the whole time. Ain’t promised me anything. Just telling me I just do what I got to do. Well, you did what you had to do tonight, VJ. Preseason’s done. Regular season lies ahead, my friend. How excited are you to go to battle with your teammates? Man, I’m super excited, man. It’s um it’s a dream come true. Obviously, you know, you know, playing on the NBA floor, man, you know, it means a lot. Um, but like you said, I’m ready to go to battle. You know, we got 82 games ahead of us, then hopefully the playoffs. So, you know, um, just hope just pray for healthy year and we going to be good. Well, we can’t wait.
