It looks like the old team for Let’s just get our minds ready to go play this game. Okay. Uh we’ve talked a lot about opportunity that this game is our next opportunity, right? And often times when we have an opportunity, you got a decision to make. When the opportunity comes knocking, what is your response? Well, when opportunity meets a bunch of pissed-off dudes that are looking for respect, that play with pride, that play the game the right way, they go and bust the door down. [Music] And so, I’m going to be real honest right now. This is a big game for a reason being it’s not going to end our season or make our season. It’s the opportunity to go knock down the door and earn and take the respect that we can go to. We don’t take anything in this. We all understand. But if there’s a group of guys that I’ve been around for quite some time now that the way they’ve worked, the way they prepare, the way they treat each other and come together as a team, this is a moment we deserve to go prepare to take. Tonight’s an opportunity to showcase yourself, your team, and your city, to the world, but most importantly to your peers in the National Football League because they will be watching. I think we might have an illegal pick, Frank. At least that’s what I’m hoping for. Troy, you could hear Patrick Mahomes saying, “We got one yard. We got one yard on the play.” The result of the play is a touchdown. And on that situation, they’re looking at the point of contact. The contact is more than one yard downfield. It’s not where his feet are. It’s a good call for offensive pass interference. So, they stick with the touchdown. I I thought that would have been a good call for pass interference. I wish they’d have stayed with it. [Applause] Officially, it’s fourth and goal from the one. Can the Jags not get into the end zone here. Trevor dives over the top. Ball popped out. The ball popped out. Did he cross the plane? They say no. Oh, that’s close. Boy, that is really close. It looks like the ball’s over the goal line. It looks like they have a great view here on the big screen in the stadium and the ball looks like it’s crossing the goal line. I have to review the ruling on the field stands. It’s Kansas City Hall. I need way more. come out. Talk about a tight window and good coverage by the defender and having to put it exactly in one spot and one spot only. Boy, what a huge drive for this offense. They needed it as a team. The Chiefs have dominated the game statistically, Jeff, 236 to 162, but they lead 14 to7. Both teams drove it deep. The Kansas City Chiefs scored on both their possessions. The Jags scored on one of theirs and got stopped at the half yardd line on the other. And that’s what’s keeping this from being a tie ball game. No. And turn the ball over, right? And that puts the Jaguars on the wrong side of the turnover differential. And every game this year, they have been getting the turnovers, the takeaways, and they’ve been protecting the ball pretty well. And I think for Frank, for this team to kind of get back into it, to get the momentum, they’ve got to find a way to get the ball back from Kansas City. We’re not going after what we’re capable of. We ain’t playing our brand of football right now. Everybody knows that, right? Okay. We got to go after these guys. We got to finish tackles. We got lower protection. Okay. We got the arrest. [Music] Guys, what I love about Liam Coin is his perspective when it comes to talking to the team. He told the team, “Everyone, take a deep breath. We haven’t played our game. We’re out of sorts. Everyone is trying to play hero ball. Let’s play our game one play at a time. Do your job. Next play mentality. Don’t overreact to the good or the bad. Let’s see what it looks like. Second play after play for 30 minutes and we can live with the result. First down, Jags at their own 27 yd line. Slots to either side, receivers to either side. ETN the running back fake is a blitz. When earlier in the ball game the passing game wasn’t working, he found his legs. And here in this moment there was nothing for him and he’s putting his body at risk at a huge moment. They were trying to get Travis Kelce on a little slant route to the right side underneath of the coverage and Devin Wolfie read it perfectly. But not only did he read it perfectly, how about the return and he gets a couple critical blocks to allow him time to get to the end zone because he was running out of gas a little bit. He went 99 yds. The Jags have taken the lead. Are you kidding me? How many interceptions is this guy going to have? He’s got four. I’mma fight for you. Love you, boy. Play I got fight for you. Yeah, I I think the legs have been a huge impact in this ball game because I think there were a little struggles in the passing game early, and the legs kind of sparked this offense a little bit and then the arms started coming along. If you’re going to be a great quarterback, you’ve got to do that. You’ve got to be able to take risks and to put a team on your back and carry them. Second down, Jags at their own 14 yd line. Jaden Hicks literally runs right into Parker Washington like a head-on collision and then that takes Parker Washington completely out of the play making an easy opportunity for McDuffy. How that is not called is criminal. First and goal Chiefs from the 5 yd line of Jacksonville after that takeaway. Kareem Hunt the running back. They hand it to him in the middle of the field. Lower the shoulder. He’s going to get into the end zone. A touchdown. A 5 yd touchdown run by Kareem Hunt. This will be Laquent Allen from the four yd line. 25 yd line. Got a little room. That’s good return to 35 yd line. Lower the shoulder. Ran over a defender. Got it out past the 40. So that’s good starting field position. Nice work by Laquen Allen, the rookie running back. 52 y from the right hash. Cook puts it down. Little kicks it up. The 52 yd field goal is good. hit halfway up the net and the Jaguars have taken the lead 24-21 with 808 to play in the game. [Applause] [Music] Well, and here’s the reality. You got to face Patrick Mahomes. I don’t care where the starting field position is. 15 is an amazing player and you want to have this crowd impact him on the field. Kareem Hunt, the running back. Three receivers all on the left. They hand it to Hunt again. He’s into the end zone. Touchdown. A two-yd touchdown run by Kareem Hunt. And the Chiefs have taken the lead with 145 to play in the ball game. I mean, that’s an impressive drive. They started at their own 14 and in 12 plays marched 86 yds for a touchdown. But here’s the the reality. You’ve got time to win this ball game. You’ve got two timeouts in your pocket and a minute and 45. And Liam Cohen has talked to his team about, “Hey, look, nobody’s going to give us anything. We have to take it.” Well, here’s your opportunity to take it. We got to believe. Everybody got to believe. Everybody got to believe. Plenty of time in an NFL game to come down the field and win the ball game. Can Trevor Lawrence lead these Jags to what would be a very impressive win on Monday night? Well, and he’s done it before and he led I believe in his career about seven or eight gamewinning drives. What a throw by Trevor Warren right on the money at the 24 yd line. Dropping is Trevor again looking fires left side. That ball is caught by the Army Brown steps out of bounds. First down at the 11 yd line of the Kansas City Chiefs with 48 seconds to play in the ball game. Third down and 13. No timeouts left. Dropping, looking, fires toward the corner of the end zone. That ball is Oh, flag comes in. The ball is picked off in the end zone, but a flag came in. They threw a flag in the end zone. That should nullify the interception by the Chiefs. It should be first and goal at the oneyd line. Believe it. Believe it. Believe it. First and goal from the one. You got no timeouts, but you got 30 seconds to go from the one yd line. Trevor under center. Oh, he slipped and he fell down. Trevor fell down. [Music] They’re going to try and run in. He’s into the zone. down to the red. Come on. Come on. Come on. [Applause] Trevor Lawrence gets stepped on coming out from underneath of center and stumbles around the pocket for a minute before deciding to take off and run. And somehow his offensive line gives him time to recover and he regains his balance and finds his way in the end zone. Are you kidding me? I’ve never seen a play like that in my life. They just got two guys standing there. Mahomes is now going to throw it as far as he can throw it to the middle of the field. It hits the ground. It’s incomplete. The Jags have beaten the Kansas City Chiefs. [Applause] [Music] [Applause] Hey guys, great job. What a drive by Trevor Lawrence. Might be as good a game start to finish as some Trevor Lawrence play. I think it was the most resilient game he’s ever had. You know, we said in the beginning of this ball game that you got to have Trevor Lawrence raise his level of play and he did. This team is different. They’re just resilient. They find ways to win. The Deon Lloyd interception at the oneyd line when Kansas City was like they were going to just walk into the end zone. He makes a huge play. I mean, plays like that. I mean what characters [Applause] 99. God is good, boy. Hey, just going to keep it rolling. Short week. Love you. Love you.
