Killorn continues to deceive my eyes and thought it was his worse offensive game so far…but here he is. Metric magician! Besides his deflection of Taylor Hall’s shot that hit the crossbar, I thought Trouba was frustrating to watch, and there he is 2nd overall. Wow! I wasn’t drinking last night either 😂

Sennecke looked slower last night (stupid Letang!), might still be recovering or the grind is catching up to him? Do you sit him on the next game? Loved how he put CAR player in a front lock till he calmed down, then seeing Sennecke casually skate away smiling. Some had concerns of his immaturity, so far I’m not seeing it, especially for a 19 y.o. Glad he sticks up for himself

Vatrano needs to get going. He put up hits and shots, but he looks a bit distant out there. Might not be responding well to his reduced minutes and role on the team? Seems to lack chemistry with Granlund or am I missing it?

Everyone else looks about right from watching the game and seeing this stat card

  1. And I still don’t understand Q’s insistence of playing Ross Johnston against a non-rival and non-physical team.

  2. Really not liking Minty being an absolute black hole on defense…

But also glad for the confirmation that Carlsson is fucking amazing lmao

  3. Killorn is fine and helps setup Leo. Overall the game was just very suffocating for them, The canes were back checking out of nowhere, always on them. They couldn’t keep to their usual formations as it was hard to get into the O zone. I do feel that fight took away some of the ducks momentum they had at the end of 2nd period.

  4. Hurts to see Sennecke and Gauthier down there. Needs time to grow. How long? I don’t know.

  5. Gauthier looked better than these stats imo. He was one of the more dangerous players on the ice

I think Sennecke really dragged down his line multiple times in this game. He turned over the puck at least 3-4 times in dangerous zones. But that happens Vs great teams especially as a rookie so I’m not too bothered.

I’m surprised everyone besides Leo has such negative stats. We lost, it was not really close but it wasn’t a steamroll either.

  6. Killorn is fine. Made a couple of great shot assists that just didn’t go. Holds onto the puck well and carries it into the zone. No one is pretending he’s an elite player, but at this stage, I’m pretty sure people simply don’t watch the game when they talk about him.

  7. This looked like a mirror to game one vs. Seattle. We were in control the whole game but couldn’t score, Seattle was able to get one more than us. In this game Carolina was mostly in control but was able to score. We had enough quality opportunities to get another couple goals but did not. Sometimes the better team doesn’t win and I liked the chances we created. We wouldn’t beat them in a series right now but we played well enough against that juggernaut that we could have won with a little more luck.

  8. I think these stats basically state what happened when goals are done. So obviously people that were on leos line were positive as tht was the only goal. I wouldn’t look into it.
