[Music] Port Stanley staying in South Florida. Last year was greatness. This time it’s historic. The Florida Panthers are back-to- back Stanley Cup champions. Welcome in to this all new episode of Prime Time Panthers. I’m your host, Katie Anglesen. The season is officially underway and before the Panthers dropped the puck against the Chicago Blackhawks on opening night, your Florida Panthers celebrated in style and received their Stanley Cup championship rings. [Music] [Music] We want to welcome everybody here and congratulations to everyone our 2025 Stanley Cup champions ring ceremony. This team has shown me the spirit of togetherness, family, everything that I hoped it would be. It took 13 years. Mr. V said it was going to we were going to be champions. I could not thank all of you anymore from the bottom of my heart for all of your hard work. When you hear us talk about the family part of the team, it you you you could see this evening that how real that is and how tangible it was. It takes a village. Um it takes everybody and we can point to any number of people say without this person this couldn’t have happened. But we all know this could not have happened for any of us without our families. So, a toast to the families, the people we love and who love us, who helped us. Cheers. They’re here. The family aspect for this team, this organization is is deep. Extremely proud to be a Florida Panther and to be given all the love from Mrs. Biola tonight. And uh I think the whole Biola family and uh everybody in the room feels that. Yes. Both fist. Everyone’s so close and so nice to each other. And I mean it’s all around like trainers, uh, equipment guys, like everyone. So it’s, uh, it’s a special place to be. Sam Bennett. We wouldn’t be here without them. Um, it goes through the whole staff. Everyone puts in countless hours to to give us the best opportunity to to have success. And yeah, we can’t thank all those guys enough. Evan Rodriguez. We went through a little bit more adversity um you know in this second one than we did the first one. And we were we were you know a bunch of brothers. Um I’ve said it a bunch, but you know no one kind of made fun of each other more than you know the guys in the room, but we also no one stuck up for each other more. And uh it really was as you know as close to a family of you know 25 guys that you can get. [Music] 5 4 3 2 one. Open. [Music] Just before we got them, um we were sitting with the Mauricas and all looked and said, “I’m so excited. I I can’t explain to you.” And I said, “Oh, this is the coolest. This is the greatest thing ever.” And we I think back and it the excitement is the same. Um if not better, I think maybe we appreciate it even more. I’m not sure. But no, it’s real. It’s a bunch of little kids down. That’s beautiful. Beautiful. Look at that. Awesome. So many good parts, right? But I guess I guess the cups, right? So it’s uh No, it’s it looks amazing and uh so happy. The face with the two cups, it will start crying. There’s a lot of little things in there that you didn’t notice until they uh they announced it, but um yeah, the two stand cups were a nice touch. Not bad. Favorite part? Oh, I mean that’s hard to to pick one thing. They’re uh It’s not your quote. Yeah. I mean, what’s your favorite? It could be the quote, I guess. I think they missed a couple words in there or one definitely one. Um but no, that’s cool. That’s something that I think uh we all kind of rallied around and loved when he said it. And I think it was a big memory for all of us. And now that it kind of lives in the ring forever, it’ll whenever we look at it, it’s it’s something that we’ll uh have a clearer picture of. And you know, I’m sure we’ll bring some smiles and some laughs. That was definitely uh a quote I said after a little bit too many drinks on the uh on the parade bus, but yeah, I mean, it’s it’s very cool that they used it in the ring as well. Tomorrow we’re back to work and uh you just feel blessed and and hungry to start it and try to do it again. [Music] What a beautiful ceremonian ring. I got to think the players hands are getting pretty heavy at this point. The ring top prominently displays Panthers in 14 karat yellow gold. Behind the tab are two Stanley Cups representing the 2024 and 2025 championship seasons with 81 brilliant diamonds sitting at top 20 genuine rubies which are encircled by another 40round genuine rubies. On the left and right sides of the ring top, the Panthers Stanley Cup champions title is set in 14 karat yellow gold adorned with 145 diamonds. Additionally, 122 additional diamonds flood the remaining sides of the ring top and 18 princess cut genuine rubies set in 14 karat yellow gold surround the ring’s edge. The interior of the ring features a collection of unique items, including we apologize to no one is boldly engraved above the result of each series from the team’s Stanley Cup playoff run. The date the Florida Panthers won the 2025 Stanley Cup Championship, June 17, 2025. A representation of a black rat to pay homage to one of the longest fan-led Panthers traditions, celebrating each Panthers win by throwing plastic rats onto the ice. Certainly a fitting ring for back-to- back champions. Time for our first break here on Prime Time Favors. Coming up next, we take a look back at the opening night ceremony as the Stanley Cup Championship banner was raised to the rafters. As our banner makes its set, it will forever honor the 2025 Florida Panthers as back-to back champions and serve as the ultimate symbol of determination and a selfless team first mentality. Don’t go anywhere. Prime Time Panthers on Script Sports will be right back. [Music] Welcome back to Prime Time Panthers. The stage was set for opening night and before the puck dropped, the Florida Panthers watched their second straight Stanley Cup banner rise to the rafters. [Music] Every year you have to start at a baseline, at a foundation, and build from there. and deal with your year. Usually you find that what you’re going to the adversity that you’ll face. You’ll it’ll come to you. It’ll find it over the course of the year and then you identify it and you and ours came to us in training camp. We know Matthew was in and uh Thomas were going to be out but then Alexander was down. So there’s our there’s our year. That’s the adversity we have to learn. Please welcome the scary proud victory champion. That was nice. That’s obviously Barky’s, uh, Barky’s spot. I was just filling in, but uh, it feels incredible coming out in front of our fans, be able to hoist it one more time. But it’s awesome. It’s always, uh, an emotional moment for sure. Um, I know that, uh, everybody who experienced that felt that same emotion. Please turn your attention to the ice for the unveiling of our 2025 Stanley Cup Championship banner. [Music] [Applause] As our banner makes its descent, it will forever honor the 2025 Florida Panthers as back-to- back champions and serve as the ultimate symbol of determination and a selfless team first mentality. It’s up there forever now. Yeah, it’s a pretty special feeling being able to watch it go up and, you know, knowing that’s going to be up there forever. You win and then you kind of have this summer where you think about it. It almost gets to the point you forget how rare it is to be able to do that to be able to do that twice especially. But I I appreciated the guys uh kind of locked arms at the blue line remembering if it was very nice. Share it with the fans. It’s a great opportunity uh to enjoy it last one last time and kind of turn the page. You know, the the second that puck drops, it’s a whole new season, you know, a new opportunity, new challenges, and you know, we’ve already had to face some adversity this year and it’s a great opportunity to to come together. Chills as the banner rises to the Raptors here at Amaran Bank Arena. All that’s left is to drop the puck and we’ll do that next. [Music] Time for a short break here on Prime Time Panthers. Coming up next, it was time to drop the puck against the Chicago Blackhawks. Oh, welcome inside Ammer Bank Arena here in Sunrise. A new Florida Panther season, a new National Hockey League season gets going right here this evening. to Rodriguez center circle cross corner it goes leaning in Samus out in front score tiptoe by Funkquist out of midair from the Samoscavage feed the Panthers have the lead. All of the thrilling action next right here on Prime Time Panthers. [Music] Welcome back to Prime Time Panthers. With all the pregame celebrations complete, it was time to drop the puck as the Panthers hosted the Chicago Blackhawks. And the matchup did not disappoint. Oh, welcome inside Amir Bank Arena here in Sunrise. A new Florida Panther season, a new National Hockey League season gets going right here this evening. Up front, we got Marcy. We got Miy and we got We have to grind it out. We’re going to get everybody’s best every night. We know that, you know, they’re going to come in and compete the highest level. Uh no game is going to be easy, so we just have to prepare for that. Welcome to the 2025 2026 NHL season. Time to man your battle stations. Oh, how great is it to have hockey back, baby? Little fast. Little fast. Right back to Spencer now. Patiently plays it to the far half wall and now it’s outleted and a step moving in. Nazar to break away. Scores the first goal of the season to break Nazar. The Blackhawks on the road have the early lead. Dial it in. Dial it in. Want it towards the net. Blocked in front of the doorstep. And it’s the fourth line. Poking it home. AJ Greer. We’re tied at one. All right, back on here. Red hand back on him for the Panthers. Rodriguez, it was poked away and then out of the right circle. A chance for Sam to stop, but now it’s picked up and they score and the Panthers take the lead. It’s able to beat Knight. Stuffing one home on the power play. It was really good to get in front of the fans again. Uh I thought the building was buzzing. Gave us energy for sure at the start and throughout the game. They’re going to go and the boys and Greer tough customers here. That’s a great tilt to start the season. First one in the books and it’s fed forward. Marian with a step tries to split the defense. Marian moves in, slides it right. Save made by Knight on Bennett. Nice outlet. Nazar off the one touch from Batusi across with Terrain. Feeds it to him. Shoots. Save Babroski. No score and found the back of the net. Oh, it looked like Babroski may have gotten it with the blocker, but Terrain is able to sneak it home to tie the game at two. Stay with your mental focus, man. That’s what we’re doing here. Got to stay with that grind. Under pucks. Under pucks. Third gap. Simple play. Here’s a tow drag. Elad shoot. Save Knight. There comes a play right off the rush. And Aaron Ecklad shoots rockets. He gets all of this. Aaron Ecklad has been just awesome to watch. Quiet driver. So he’s an offensive guy when he came in the league and he changed his game and now he’s a hard shutdown defensively. Back to the forehand. He is denied by the sliding lad on the doorstep edge of the crease and it’s covered by Babsky looking over his shoulder to see if he has support. He’s by himself. Shoots. Save is made by Knight. Some pretty good shooters in there. So those are legit saves that he made. He did what he needed to do to give the team a chance to win if they got a goalender there that can stop the puck. Panthers continue to put the pressure on. Kick save made by Knight. The left go left go. Back on it, man. Back on it. Let’s not pass up shots. Let’s get to the net. Keep it simple. Good with speed across the line. Back hands one moving in. Try hard. Same thing with the pad by Knight as Vhgi drove the net. Bard across the line. Bard the backhand and the forehand. Save made by Babroski. Some speed across the line. Gets a return. Save. Babski. Kick the left leg out. Wow. Future Hall of Famer on the case. Look at that flexibility coming across. Let’s get some of our herd rims. Let’s get on that body because that’s what we do. Let’s get to it right now. All right, back on here. Back bottom. Dickinson with a step. Dickinson wrist save made by Babroski and Sergey Babroski. Impeccable positioning there. Just stay foul. Stay foul. Make your decision and go. New Rodriguez center circle cross corner it goes. Leaning in seven out in front. Score. Tip top by Boquist out of midair from the Samus gave it feed. The Panthers have the lead. Saw Bokei on the backside there were just buzzing down the side there. So I thought just get it over to him and obviously not the greatest pass but uh kudos to him for putting it in. Every coach Harps on breakouts in the Dzone. A perfectly executed one here for Paul Maurice’s Panthers and then a little indirect play to Speed. This is absolutely perfectly executed. He has this consistent game in an uncertain role, which is where the value is with him because he came in and played left wing, right wing at critical times. I I thought he was actually really good as well. I’m just watching their routes more than anything else, whether they score or not. How how close are they to kind of that ideal of how we play and he was he was right on. Half minute to play at the half wall into the bumper and gets a return down back door pass for Tusi and that was deflected by Forsley. 6 seconds to go. Stopped by Renzel. He couldn’t keep it on side and Chicago will run out of time and the Panthers will win on opening night as the Rats fly here at Emiran Bank Arena. And the Panthers off to a two-point start. What I love about this group is just a hard work mentality and and and they want to grind and you know that that’s just going to make us a hard team to play and hopefully everything lines up, but it’s a long road ahead here. Time for our final break here on Prime Time Panthers. Coming up next, all of the best action on the ice as the Panthers raced out of the gate on the 202526 season. Up front, we got Swaggy Marcy. We got Pyro and we got Bubble. Go. Look out. Marian’s got a breakaway. Marian is in to the backhand and he scores. What a goal by Brad Marian. Don’t go anywhere. Prime Time Panthers on Script Sports. We’ll be right back. Welcome back to Prime Time Panthers. Opening night certainly lived up to expectations and the Panthers had their eyes set on a fast start to the new season. Despite absences of some key players, the Cats leaped out of the gates. Let’s take a look back at some of the best moments from the first week of action. You’re going to come to the rink against our team and everybody’s going to skate at their at their best. I’m at the top. Can’t slow the game down. We can’t be arrogant with the top. We want to adhere to the mental parts of playoff hockey as much as we possibly can. When when guys go down, someone else has got to step up. Oh, welcome inside Edward Pankerina here in Sunrise. A new Florida Panther season. A new National Hockey League season gets going right here this evening. I’m the last one standing now. remains in top twist and the Panthers will win on opening night as the Rats fly here at Emirates Bank Arena. Let’s go. We have a really deep team with a lot of really good players. Rodriguez enters Londell. He scores. Marian back on the ice, fires and he scores. It’s Brad the cat. Maran gives Florida the lead. Marian that highrising shot and that goes far down. They’re two for two for the twotime defending Stanley Cup champs. I think to get to the playoffs, you have to have a style of play. Everybody says identity that everybody understands we’re going to play this way. I think anytime you you play to know a little more emphasis on those games, so we’re going to be extra sharp. Sla breaks in, has Kachchuck to the net, deflected on goal. Babski with the save. Look out. Marian’s got a breakaway. Marian is in to the backand and he scores. What a goal by Brad Marian. Heavy heart, keep your integrity. This ain’t a start. Just keep on watching if you play your part. Then we made it. We play for the cause. Heavy heart. Keep your integity. This ain’t a start. Just keep your Yeah, it’s awesome to see. Everyone’s kind of chipping in and uh that’s kind of what the season’s going to be. Uh, everyone’s team effort and everyone going forward. Uh, having their role and chipping chipping away. And Tippet racing in. Tippet shoots. Terosoft with the pad stop. Reinhardt again. Back hitter. Score. Shorthanded goal. A huge one by Sam Reinhardt. Tucks it up high for Petri. He’ll let the wristster go. He scores. Petri let it fly from the line. And the Panthers have opened up a 4-1 lead. Here’s Marian comes down in front. I’m at the top and scores. We have to learn to get into a playoff mindset in terms of how important every little single detail is that during the regular season sometimes you kind of work on it. [Music] That does it for this week’s episode of Prime Time Panthers. We’ll see you next week right here on Script Sports for an allnew episode. Prime Time Panthers is presented by Brightar Credit Union. [Applause] [Music]
