  1. Ol checkdown Murray! Been saying this for a while now. Lower mid-tier NFL QB at best. He’s gotta go. Let his whiny ass go play baseball because football is not his bag.

  2. Ill surely take my downvotes but I dont think the tape lies, its mostly Kyler. He is either: Not seeing the routes (queue short jokes, not what I mean here), Not wanting to pull the trigger for fear of an INT or dropped pass or his timing on drop backs is wrong (Play calls for a 3 or 5 step from under center but coaches let him play it from shotgun)

    I think we have all heard one of the the above as an excuse and it could be all 3 dependent on the game/situation. But I believe a 2nd start by Brissett will solidify the governor on this offense is K1.

  3. What do you mean on Petzing?

    The pocket is perfectly clean in multiple of these clips, receivers are running routes between 10-20 yards. The receivers running those routes are coming open.

    Kyler is not throwing those passes.

    How is that on Petzing? The whole offense is doing everything right in those cases — good scheme, good protection, good routes. The weak link is Kyler in these plays.

    This video is a good illustration that regardless of whether it’s in shotgun or under center in play action (the only real difference between Kyler and Brissett), there have been plays every week and the passing concepts stayed the same between Kyler and Brissett (duh, you can’t change your whole offense in the middle of the year that you spent months in advance practicing and preparing).

    This goes without mentioning that being a run-first offense does not preclude you from throwing the ball down the field. Seattle is #1 in the league in % of rushing attempts but JSN is leading the league in receiving and Darnold has one of the highest AY/A in the NFL.

    It never was Petzing and it’ll be crazy if Kyler refusing to push the ball down field in a good offense is going to get our best OC since Arians fired.

  6. My take is petzing isn’t good at utilizing murray. He isnt a pocket qb. I think both should be gone from our organization by the end of the season if they cant figure it out this year
