  1. Al depends on what they offer. Can’t have another huge star and get a draft pick as compensation

  2. McClean is probably off limits

but if we somehow got 2 of Benge/Williams/Tong would be huge

  3. Skubal is going to test free agency. Illitch will have to match the likes of the Dodgers, Yankees, Mets, and Padres to keep him.

  4. If the Tigers can get a starting pitcher that deserves a spot in the rotation and an every day bat, I think it’s a no brainer to trade Skubal before opening day.

  5. I have anxiety over the eventual thread popping up on my front page:
    > BREAKING: Tarik Skubal signs with *other team*

  6. A starter that can post an era in the 3s. A right handed mlb ready bat. A pitcher with upside too 100 prospect. That’s where the bidding starts.
Skubal if he has a good offense behind him is a 20-5 pitcher. Also ks a lot of guys so you don’t get alot of unearned runs either.

  7. Unless they grossly overpay and blow your doors off, you keep Skubal. A Trophy is a better potential outcome than a few prospects and taking Skubal off the team makes you demonstrably worse.

Detroit isnt Tampa or Florida or Milwaukee or Pittsburgh. Spend some money to build a high level team and compete and then let the Skubal cards fall where they fall next off-season.
