🚨MAJOR Jaylen Waddle Update | New York Giants Rumors, News

Yo, what’s going on everybody? You’re watching Giants Now by Chat Sports. I am your host, Marshall Green. Appreciate everybody for stopping by as we are talking about some trade rumors and some updates on some receivers the New York Giants have been linked to as the rumors about Joe Shane potentially going out and trading for a receiver have been hot over the last couple of days. Before we do that though, make sure you are subscribed to the channel at the crib today, not at the studio. Still wanted to get you guys a video. So, you guys know the drill. if you don’t subscribe because no matter where we are or what we’re doing, we’re going to get you a video when Giants news, rumors, or updates around this team need to be discussed. All right, so reports came out earlier this week from Connor Hughes of SNY, Giants Insider. He reported that Joe Shane is going big game hunting to trade for a pass catcher to pair alongside Jackson Dart to give him a talented receiver to work through play through uh play with as he works through his rookie year. One of the receivers he mentioned was Jaylen Wadd. And the rumors since then have really picked up and there’s been talks that the New York Giants have made calls to the Miami Dolphins and the Dolphins were really debating on if they wanted to trade Jaylen Wadd. And now Ian Rapaort, insider uh NFL insider for the NFL Network. He is reporting that several teams have called the Miami Dolphins about star wide receiver Jaylen Wadd. And sources say those teams have been told Miami has no interest in trading him. And I think a lot of people saw this update from Rap and just assumed, all right, books closed. No Jaylen Wadd deal, no way, no how. And Rapport is reporting that he’s not available. Of course, the Miami Dolphins want people to believe and they want the word to be that they are not interested in training him. And look, I don’t know if they are. I don’t know if they aren’t. They probably shouldn’t be because Jaylen Wadd is still what, 25, 26 years old, a really good player on a reasonable contract. But if you are looking to deal a player like Wadd, you would want people to believe that he is not available. Therefore, that you are sending the message that if you are going to trade him, his value and the trade you’re going to receive is going to be extremely beneficial to the Miami Dolphins. I think another way to read this quote is the Miami Dolphins have gotten calls on Jaylen Wadd and the deals and offers have not been good enough and if you guys really want to add Jaylen Wadd, you need to make those deals more impressive and better for us. you need to up the offer. That could be potentially what it is. And I’m sure teams are lowballing the Miami Dolphins. Um, that’s how trade negotiations work. You start on one side to the far left, the other team starts on one side to the far right, and then you try to meet in the middle. Again, I don’t know if Jaylen Wadd is available. probably shouldn’t be, but if the Dolphins are going to trade him, they’re going to look to get a Hall back and they’re only going to do it if it is in the best interest of this team for the long term. So, um maybe the Giants offers aren’t strong enough. Maybe the Dolphins just aren’t interested in trading him, but um every player has a price and you can always make a deal if you uh think it’s best for the team. Also, another update from Diana Rousini, who covers the NFL for the Athletic. out to Diana. She has me blocked um on Twitter. Um she is reporting despite the loss of Malik Neighbors, the Giants aren’t aggressively working the phones to add talent at wide receiver right now. So, some conflicting reports on the New York Giants looking to go out and trade for a receiver. Conor Hughes is saying that they’re going big game hunting and Joe Shane is aggressive. And now you have Diana Rousini saying um the Giants aren’t aggressively working the phones to add talent at receiver. Who’s right? Who’s wrong? Who knows? There’s a lot of smoke around this team. And logic says the New York Giants should go out and add a receiver. Um I’m not really going to believe that the Giants aren’t aggressively working the phones to add a receiver because Diana Rousini said so. all respect to her, but um there’s been a lot of other people that have said that they are and I’m just going to take um other people’s words for it. She’s also reporting that the Saints and Chris Lave are working on a contract extension. This is 4 days after that that and look, say what you want, pretty Ricky Ricky Scoops on Twitter, he reported that the Saints are open to trading Chris Ave. So again, two people on the completely different completely different sides of really what is being reported. So I think what we’ve learned from today’s video is who knows what is going to happen. Who knows what is going on behind closed doors. Are the Dolphins looking to trade Jon Waddle? I wouldn’t say that. Could they be convinced? Possibly. Are the offers right now good enough for them to trade him? No. And I bet you could apply that same logic, theory, and critical thinking to Chris Olive as well. If I’m the Saints and I want to trade Chris Ave and the offers aren’t good, I want the PR to be, we’re keeping him. We want him here long term. So, if you want to trade for him, you better up the Annie and you better make the offer a little bit sweeter for us. It’s not going to be easy for Joe Shane to go out and trade for a receiver. That’s why all offseason long I was extremely disappointed the New York Giants did not go make a move for a wide out and rolled it back with Darius Sllayton not only as the wide receiver too but paying him $36 million over the next three years and uh having a cap charge of $16 million next year. Um yeah, we said it all off seasonason long. You’re a wide receiver injury away. You’re Malik Neighbors injury away from being in wide receiver hell. And uh that’s where we are right now. So, are the Giants going to be able to make a move? We’ll see. Um I’m sure that they are trying to make a move. And if you go and beat Denver on Sunday, you’re probably thinking that maybe we have a shot to be competitive throughout the whole season. And maybe if we’re a wide receiver trade away from competing for the last wildard spot or something like that. Is that possible? Yeah. Do I think that’s likely? Uh, we’ll see. Let’s see how they play against Denver tomorrow. Uh, tomorrow’s a swing game for this team, for this franchise. If you go out and beat the Denver Broncos tomorrow, um, you’re going to once again be the headline story of every single show on every single network, just like you were after you dominated the Philadelphia Eagles last Thursday. And I think the tune will change from, oh, they’re a fun storyline with Jackson Dart and and CTE Cam Scataboo to no, this is a really good football team and they’re going to punch you in the mouth if you don’t show up and you’re not ready to play a physical 60 minutes of football. And their defensive line, if they get after Bo Knicks tomorrow, um, we’re going to be talking about a complete team that could potentially uh continue to shock other teams as the season goes on. you lose tomorrow. Um, it’s same old same old Giants in the sense of didn’t capitalize on the moment, didn’t make the most out of your opportunities and it was a spike on the radar of success con compared to just a continuous pattern of success. So, go out, shock the world tomorrow. Um, got to play sound football. You’re not going to win tomorrow in a shootout. If you are, you know what? will be having a completely different conversation about Jackson Dart. Um, I’ve said it all week. If the Giants are going to beat the Broncos tomorrow, the Giants have to have the best defense in that ball game. Brian Burns needs to have a season uh season best game, as is Abdul Carter, Kavon Tibido. How about Dexter Lawrence gets his feet wet uh this weekend. The Broncos are a little beaten up on the offensive line and there’s a lot of extra juice in this game. Shout out Nick Bonito and um shout out Jonathan Cooper. So, I’m looking forward to it. We’re going to be live on the channel. Make sure you are subscribed. We’ll be live probably at 2 2:15 Eastern time. I would say 2:15 Eastern time. So, subscribe, turn those notifications on, and let’s go Giants.

  1. I wonder if gronk would come back he's only 36 he's got a year or two in him. Run could run two tight ends you wanted to. A great tight end is almost impossible to stop. I don't understand why they wouldn't be looking for tight end just as much as a wr elmost every great team has a good tight end.

  2. Before we go all crazy I think we should see what little Jordan Humphrey is all about. He may turn out to be a very good receiver and you already have him. I don’t know about going for a big tray this year yet. Stack three or four wins and then do something maybe before the deadline whenever that is. Give these young guys a chance!

  3. We are already down a 3rd round pick for next year. It does not make sense to give up more draft capital especially in a year where you are not realistically expected to make the playoffs. Build of this year and throw Hyatt a$$ out there and see if he can play. There will be some WR available in the draft to compliment Nabers this off season. IMO

  4. Someone big, strong and highly motivated would be a perfect partner to Nabers. Personally I'd prefer to wait for the next draft and utilise WRs we have like Gunner.
No need to panic buy. We are not in WR hell or we woulda lost against the Eagles. Trust Lil'Jordan and utilise the others we have. Slayton is unimportant.
We need to find out how good our other receivers truly are, so we need to play them. Have faith and lets go Big Blue.
