Game in 10 | Canucks at Blackhawks Highlights (Oct 17, 2025)
We’ll hear from any of the Vancouver players in this game here this evening. We’re underway. Elias Patterson starting this game with Connor Garland. Little tweak to the lines as Evander Kane starts on left wing on this line which is where Drew Oconor began the night for the Canucks last year. Quinn Hughes keeps the puck into the left point. Here’s Garland centering. Knocked away by Alex Blick. And now Dickinson picks up the puck, sends it ahead intended for Ryan Zenado. Slides right through to Lanin who pokes the puck to the near corner. Here’s a chance for Donado. McKay backhander stopped by Lan and rebound chipped wide. Puck didn’t get it to his own team and the Blackhawks are able to bring it off the wall. Donado so good close to the nets. Mave with the shot and then coming off the point is Harley. Here’s McCam in on the left quickly. Mm with a sharp angle shot stopped by Kevin Lank. Carlson have played here in Chicago. Baines already has a game in this building under his belt. Turnover at center. Milton Dock brings the puck in. Big rebound. Doc again into the glove of Kevin Lanken. Shade right off the pads on the entry. No other look other than towards the net, but Lankin calm, cool, collected. Do not yet score this season. couple of assists and gobbled up by the Verakovsky steals. Ahead of the play is Kaiser to the defense in on goal. There’ll be a penalty here to Kane or will it be a penalty shot? No, it’ll be a slashing call to Aander Kane and Elias Patterson to take this face off. He wins it from Brian Green. But the Canucks can’t get the puck outside the blue line. Burakovsky on the near side. Puts one across jinned in by Danado. [Applause] [Music] to take it towards the net. Marcus Patterson can’t get it out and then nobody really commits. And watching the bottom of your screen, there’s Donado. He does most of his work right around the net. 31 goals last season. He puts his skates together and then has his blade there. Luger as he sent the puck ahead is kept in the blue line by Drew O’ Conor but now shot out by Wyatt Kaiser. Knocked down by Reich. Not sure how he did that. Now he centers the puck. Portuzi is stopped by Lank in the final of the first. There’s a stick save by Lank on that redirect in tight off the stick of Duracs. Lank without his stick. Now it’s in the corner. There’s a right pass and they score the rebound for Tuesday. [Applause] Should have been called. Yeah. And that would have been denied if that went in the net. Goalie interference. And then at this point, it’s a battle at the front of the net fori. Puts it to the point and heroic just checks the wrong guy and it bounces through and he’s free to be able to knock this in. And then a final minute tally from Tyler Bertusi to open up this two nothing lead. And that’s where we stand as we get underway here in period number two. Renzel plays the puck into the Vancouver zone. Here’s Garland. Casser steps in on the right wing. Passes back for Hughes. Had to reach but he’s able to keep it in. Now down low. Garland centers the puck. De Brusk is there. Jimmy scores. Jake De Brusk kept after that puck. I don’t know how many whacks he had at him, but he’s able to get it behind Spencer Knight. And the Conucks have a power play goal to make it two to one on the entry. It’s going to be right down to the goal line and sent to the front of the net from Garland. The Russents the backhand and then was able to muscle it on the forehand right there off the blocker underside of the bar and into the net. his knee and then he was able to win that puck battle. Spencer Knight going off his blocker. The knuckle puck just fluttered wide of the goal. Steel of the blue line. Patterson. Elias Patterson looking across. Nice pass. Mancini and puck winds up on the near side. Doc went to the bench replaced by Donado who’s now ahead of the play and puts one in front. Bernard alone stopped by L. Conor Bernard. Bernard denied point blank. What a chance for him to get his first against the Cox. And now another save off the guard as Lank stopped him. Hayes knocked to the ice. Here’s Carlson across. Heronic alone centers. They score. Max Sass able to tap it home from the crease. He’s got goals in backto back games. He scored in both his games this year. And the Canucks are pulled level at two. Sassy just flat out beat his guy off the board. It’s puck battle at the hash marks. He goes in, pushes, and then right to the front of the net. Heronic sneaks down up the right point, holds, sells the shot that’s never going to come because it’s a pass onto the blade and tapped right in by Max. Dickinson tried to get there. couldn’t take it easy Saturday night or roll in and turn on the TV. Either or. There’s the short house method in the tournament. Evander Kane trying to diagonal pass. Broken up. Relo standing at the box. He’s back on the ice. Here’s Krebier trying to get loose. Louie creier of all people hit the crossbar on a deep to the forehand. [Applause] Garland. Good read to keep the puck in, but he’s checked by Nazar. Garland gets it again. Finds some room. Puts it across. Heroic is stopped by Knight. Burovski working on Marcus Patterson. Now the puck thrown across to Grizzlick. Chris shot off a skate. Loose for Tusi Channing away. And he’s no goal, says the ref. No goal. Hawks are celebrating. And the referee right there to wash it off. That was the referee saying the pad was pushed to allow the puck to go into the net. I don’t think he ever reached blanket it the puck. Did he? I thought he got it initially there. I guess after it went off the pad. After the coach’s challenge, it was determined there was goalend interference. The call on the ice stands. No goal. Down to Elias Patterson. Blue J. Patterson moves into the faceoff circle. Cers a third one and he missed on that one. Puck cleared off Hughes and down the ice. 28 seconds or Patterson to Hughes. Canucks trying to go ahead here. Hughes just missed. Puck comes over. Garland shoots. Squeezing it is Spencer Knight and he hangs on. Watched by Dickinson. Here’s Garland putting one in front. The Bruss tipped it towards the goal. Knight reaches out and grabs the puck. And here he comes out of the box. And there’s the pass, but it’s going to go off his stick and deep. And that’s going to do it. Hawks able to kill off the late power play with the holding penalty to Bard. The idea is if you’re going to defend, you’ll have Peronic out there. Once you get control of the puck, you get your best defenseman offensively out there. They had a chance to get it and allow Ruse to get to the bench. And now Bernard heads off as well for Arosky. Terrain off the shoulder of Kevin Lank. Garland has room to skate to center. 90 seconds left in overtime. Here’s Hughes. Besser to the net. Stopped by Spencer Knight. Patterson takes his pass. 15 seconds to go. Patterson through the defense in on goal and he’s stopped by Knight. Jamming away was Hughes. But the puck is covered. And then WHO take a chance. Go in there to the forehand. And Hughes brings the puck outside the line. And they might run out of time here because he’ll have to tag up. And this game will indeed go to a shootout. Tabbo Terrain is going to lead things off. He’s 10 for 26 in his career. And Lankin flashed out the right pad in the blocker to steer that puck to the corner. Shooter for the Hawks in on Lincoln and stopped by Lank and this time to the left pad. Open up Lanken and pushing him back into the crease. Quick feet. Slow down and then try to go five hole. doesn’t tried to break the ice for the Canucks in round two. He’ll move in off the left and he’s stopped by Spencer Knight but kept the glove right at hip level. Garland’s trying to go just under the glove in shootouts in his brief career. Stopped by Lake and the Canucks have a chance to win it in round three with Jake De Brusk on his birthday. Nazar same sort of thing trying to pull Lankin across but Kevin Lanken in good balance. See the shuffle with the right Ryan Zanado in round four. Lankin stayed with him. Good hands in tight. Tries this last little stick handle the forehand and does scores. Kevin Lankin at one end, Brock Besser at the other, and the Canucks are two for two to start this trip. Both games trailing two nothing after one. And Brock Besser wins it in round four. Well, the comeback Conucks get it done in Chicago. Besser, the shooter, does just that. leans into this snapper.

nice shootout goal BROCKstar! 😀
Omg petey’s first deke in 1.5 years. Im emotional
2 things 1) EP40 doing nothing again (even missing on the shootout) 2)What horrible highlites show EVERY shootout player or at least Canucks (if a Canucks page)..show all other team?
Before I watch pety did nothing
Brock Ripped That One
I'm a Canucks fan but the Blackhawks got robbed of a goal.
Video guy needs to show Petts that play he made in OT, and tell him, "MORE OF THAT." That was a confident play, even if he didn't score. He has the hands to do it. So do it. I also liked that play earlier in the game where he stole the puck at the Hawks blueline and made a sick pass to Mancini who was wide open. He had good poise on that play as well. I dunno, maybe this is how it begins for him… It's frustrating that he's not blasting them into the net but I don't think he's broken, yet.
Hronek on the naughty list again. 🤬
Lankinen is developing a hot stick as of late…..they’d be wise to give it to him when he’s hot. It’s like if Currey is shooting 3’s like butter, you don’t pass it to Labron. 😂
So looks like this Canucks team is a road team…
Since when did the official channel uploads 10 min game highlights?
How about lankinen to the oilers for raslovic and skinner (skinner as a negative asset obviously)
petey still too hesitant to shoot on the PP
How do you not show every shot in a shootout? I'm glad you'd putting together SN highlights, but do better!!
Framerate is too low, video is choppy. Needs to be smoother.
Lanky big saves and Brock as we all know can shot that puck
Good win boys go Nucks!
Hronek is still one of the dumbest guys on the team. Why did he push Bertuzzi into Lankinen 2:30? Then he just leaves him alone in front of the net?
now get out of Chicago b4 the National guard comes
Cant belive Petey dont shoot. He has the greatest shot on the globe and he is just passing it. But he was not only great defensivly. He was a threat offensivly too.
8:08 nice to see Petterson playing like this, don't care if the puck went in, he has to be confident and try.
The second goal of the game… 100% interference.
The late goal that was called back… That was a make-up call. It sucks for Chicago, but it happens.
It's nice to see that our goalies are on point to start the season.
The Valley Boys. There is your line name
The frame rate on this video is broken like all the other videos. Fix this!
Anyone else see bertuzzi try to break lanks stick after he score? 😅
The only shootout attempt they didn't show, which was a good one, was Pettersson's. Scumbags.
Why do they get killed in shots every night
Nothing wrong with the frame rate. Maybe it's your connection
Petterson is like the ben Simmons of the NHL. He just won't shoot
Quite the goaltending battle!
